The heat shield isn't normally rivetted, theres one bolt at the bottom and, as I recall, one bolting it from behind to the manifold. The latter is accessible through a hole in the heat shield is easy to get out and areal bugger to get back in.
Great video, the reason the rivets were drilled is because the bolt that is accessed through the heatshield hole is made of butter and usually doesnt come out as it seizes into the turbo casing
Brilliant video, great detail too. Thanks for mentioning the extra time spent freeing it up off camera. Has the egr been removed. My Disco has similar symptoms at 2800 rpm when heavy acceleration, fine under constant acceleration.
You shouldn't need to drill out the rivets. There should be a hole in the back of the heat shield where you can fit a socket and undo the whole bracket from the manifold. Maybe that's with later Td5s though?
Great vid in clear detail. Think my disco is suffering from this so will give her a look tomorrow. Many thanks
Thx ! Great video. My turbo is now working perfectly!
Your welcome!
Excelente video, muy claro y muy buena toma de camara, muchas gracias por subirlo
Thank you very much and God bless you for your hard work for the sake of us the beginners.

Great video…can we use W40 to fix out this pb…?
You can but a proper penetration spray like AC90 will work better. Good luck 👍🏼
Thank you very much !
