The best thing about the show is Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson’s performance. Both gave their 1000% and it shows.
They’re perfect 😭
They really do!!! I love it❤
Can't get enough of Sam's voice, aching lovely
yes yes yesss
0:44 That was such a Lestat response I think he's tired of people asking why the leads are gay at this point🤣
Hahaha TOTALLY! 😂
Best response honestly 😭😭😭
People are like “Why gay?” 😂😂😂
I think it's because most people's first introduction to interview was the 1994 movie and they weren't very clear about what was going on and as a kid i just thought they were close friends lol come 2022 I was like ohhhhhh now it makes sense lol 😂
Sam saying “it’s time” and throwing the card he was SO DONE 👏
I absolutely loved this first season of IwtV. The actors, the scenery, the soundtrack; I can't wait for season 2!
The long wait will for season 2 will be so painful. I wish I would just sleep like a vampire until season 2 comes out.
Prayer circle this shit gets canceled
@@Lauren-jq6up If it offends your sensibilities, just don't watch. It is quite literally that simple.
@@Lauren-jq6up 😮🧐Um… nope! 🙏🏾🙏🏾Praying for like 9-10 seasons of this universe. AMC purchased the rights to the entire 12-book universe and as someone who LOVES The Vampire Lestat (2/12), I can’t wait for more series!!!
@@Lauren-jq6up Huge jump in AMC+ subscriptions because of that “shit,” and it’s getting a second season. Keep praying. 😂
Love them 😍 I wish these interviews were longer 😭
Same I love Jacob’s impersonation of Antonio Banderas. I can’t “ unsee “ it now.
Sam’s inner Lestat came out with the second question. The look of disgust on his face.😂😂😂
I thought I was the only one that saw his inner Lestat jump out for a second there 😂😂😂😂. That look had me shook
on screen and off screen chemistry are all sizzling. Love their working dynamics. cant wait for season 2
Literally can’t wait for season two! Sam and Jacob are incredible, so is Bailey!
I'm blown away by this show. It's such a balm after the movie. But Sam Reid - my god, is IS Lestat, I spend every moment watching him grateful for his astonishing understanding of the role. And awed by what he looks like, tbh, the man is a living work of art.
amc they need to be doing more press come on
Is it me or should this interview clip be longer??? Jacob had a stack of cards…I would have loved to see them answer more questions❤
All the hating critics will have to eat their words, even AR didn't like the 1994 movie, so much so, she probably didn't watch it in theatre, I did twice😂😂😂 she waited for the video and then apologize to TC... the thing is AR wrote such a beautiful mind bending story, no matter how they adapted it, it will be delicious....🎉❤ and I think she was happy with this b4 she pass, RIP AR
Loo really???. Hahha i watched the 1994 movie and didn't feel anything, i wasn't impressed tbh, i much prefer this version than the movie itself
Ok so it turns out that she didn't like the casting of tom cruise in playing lestat not really the movie
the show, the cast, the script, the costume, everything is fantastic! Love for everyone involved
Omg they are so goofy together lol ❤️ I also loved Antonio Banderas in the movie.
the friendship and relationship these two developed on this show is just the most precious thing!!!
Please longer interviews!!!!!😢
Love them🙌🏽 I need longer interviews
Jacob is such a dork!... copying that Antonio Banderas scene. 😁😁
He's so wholesome!
The end part is so funny...both in terms of Jacob being silly and Sam being fondly bemused (like the rest of us)! 😂 Love them! (And I don't blame Sam's thinly veiled impatience over the 'why did you make it gay?' question, it must be mind-numbing being asked that every time)!
Can't wait to buy season 1 on DVD
I WANTTT LONGER INTERVIEWWW i love them 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
希望他們可以有更多採訪😭lovelove
This interview was too short..
not jacob saying pharrell williams because there's a meme abouts him never aging and being a vampire 😭😭😭
they make me 😊😊
I love this show cant wait for season 2!
Those are both gorgeous men. Sheesh.
Love this show!
Jacob is so darn gorgeous likeeeeee 😍😭
Love it! Yes, it’s literally what’s in the book!
Feels like…a job? I mean, cause it is, isn’t it? (Don’t mind me, if I can get away with not working again ever I would). Also, Pharrell Williams? Well, if I think about it, it’d make sense. Especially if he’s cast as a vampire.
I think he already is a vampire...
He said love not a job
Pharrell Williams 🤣🤣
How did this man got that perfect french accent?
are they wearing Baileys ring? 💕
Never read the book. But these 2 make very, very enjoyable to watch this movie! I watched it twice. Yummy!
The first season was amazing, and these two are hot. I am looking forward to more shirtless scenes in Season Two.
why am i just realizing he was on games on throne lmao my slow ass
They're so cute 🥺
Jacob Anderson is a sweet heart and I'd cap.
just two straight men secure about their sexuality giving penetrating eye contact ... hey idk how they could do those gay scenes X'D
Bold of you to assume they’re straight😂😂😂😂
You can't just assume everyone is straight
@@alsimanche i know you're gay though

It's a job. It's acting.
I'm enjoying the series
They are so cute omg
My parents ❤
Love the series and yes, it should be true to the book series.
Sam Reid would be a perfect Targaryen whew
Pharrell Williams bc he truly is a vampire lmao
Beautiful, these two. :)
why does sam look so grossed out by that question lmfaoo 1:00
Game of Thrones being mentioned got me thinking that Sam Reid would have made a perfect, and I mean perfect Sir Jaime Lannister. The contemptful air of arrogance that he shows as Lestat would have fit right into Sir Jaime's early character in the books.
Sam gives brad pitt vibes in the show tho
He’s even more beautiful and talented than Brad Pitt ❤
““The love I felt. Not physical love, you must understand. I don't speak of that at all, though Armand was beautiful and simple, and no intimacy with him would ever have been repellent. For vampires, physical love culminates and is satisfied in one thing, the kill. ”
Excerpt From
Vampire Chronicles 1: Interview with the vampire
Rice, Anne”
The gayness is not written in the book. Nor is it true to Anne.
They are perfectly aware about lack of sex in the books (Anne couldn't talk about it directly). But this is love story of two men, Lestat and Louis. And they meant it, this love isn't subtext.
If you don't like sex, sorry. But it doesn't affect the plot, Lestat was always obsessed with Louis, he ached for him, for his beauty etc.
They literally return to one another for about 14 books in the chronicles. No other vampire relationship is described like theirs in Anne Rice’s universe.
The fact that you think a lack of physical love between two people means they are not gay or straight is…weird. You need to read Lestat’s books, and Armand’s. 🖤🤭
I loved the show and have always loved the books. However, the original book didn’t have Louis and Lestat as lovers. Louis hated Lestat. Lestat only wanted Louis for his financial support. Anne Rice even mentions she didn’t intend the book to be homoerotic, but embraced that it was taken that way and definitely leaned into that aspect with later books. So, no, the show didn’t really portray their relationship from the book at all. I’m not sure either actor has actually read the book.
yes they did, it was just more lowkey because of the time period anne wrote the first book in, literally near the end louis calls himself a gay vampire
and all the actors read the book lmao, and if from book 2 theyre lovers why not make it in s1/2 as well? lol, anne retconned, so they're going with the retcon
"However, the original book didn’t have Louis and Lestat as lovers."
i think you need to read the books again.
In the 1st book after Lestat gave Claudia the dark gift (make her a vampire) he said to Louis "she is our daughter" but in the other books there is even more evidences like calling themselves "couple" or even kissing. Also book 1 (louis POV) and book 2 (Lestat POV) contradict themselves a lot and that was what the show decided to use as a premise bc Louis always was a unreliable narrator since he was mad with Lestat
I like the show but Lestat isn't a Queen like the way he is depicted in the show. They made him too effeminate. Louie is way more cooler in the show than in the book. That character bored me. Claudia in the show is also drastically changed and more sexualized. I found that to be very disturbing considering they made her mixed race but it ultimately is a powerful performance by the young actress. I just don't get what the deal was with making her have sex.
In the series, don't forget she's also 14 so all those years she became sexually frustrated because she didn't have a companion. She knew Louis and Lestat had each other (a sexual relationship), so I kind of understand in a way why they did that scene with her and Charlie.
They are both sooo hot! I really do not support or watch homoerotic content but these two make it very hard not to, their chemistry is amazing. Imo though, I read the book as well and I never got that explicit interpretation, but I was a teenager then, will read it over for clarity. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Antonio Banderas were phenominal!
Way too many garbage words to say you're homophobic.
" no shade to anyone but Kirsten Dunn's performance..." what a pretentious fkn gall of a response.
Kirsten Dunst*
I can’t believe such an innocuous comment has you riled up
Their opinion, bruv. Don't like don't watch.
What about it? She did an amazing job??? In a cast of people who also did amazing jobs????? (Not you, Brad, honey.)
They made the series excesivelly gay. Seems like producers didn't find another way to sell it. 96 pages into the book and nothing of all the kissing and "partnership". Except Louis and Claudia. I love them in the series. But for all I can read, Louis and Lestast was more of a transactional relationship rather than "partners" more like slavery, as Claudia says in the book. Apart from it, The series is great. I Love Anne and her work. She's genius.
The whole series is very, very gay. The first book is admittedly more subtle than the others but men are kissing and professing love for eachother throughout the whole thing
The whole book series is gay af, why did you even watch if you're so homophobic?
"They made the series excesivelly gay. (...) 96 pages into the book and nothing of all the kissing and "partnership"

True to the book?? I beg to differ. Totally infactual.
True to the book? The show is set in the wrong century
I really enjoyed the first three episodes before it became the Claudia woke show.
SMH… you sound incredible unintelligent.🤨
@@TheBlackRanger187 right? Because why are these people so embarrassing with the stuff they say ..
Now what tf are you talking about? 😭
@@TheBlackRanger187 Right! HIGHLY stupid. 😭
WTF are you talking about?
Literally the worst Louie that I've ever seen portrayed
I wonder why you're saying that 🙄
Praying for you 🙏
Ahh, so you too never read the books. Sam is the Lestat we should have always had. The one that later spears a chronicle of books. Interview with the vampire is only Louis point of view of Lestat.
That’s why Sam is more authentic.
I will be like Henry Cavill with "The Witcher," and not continue watching this train wreck. Whoever like this series are either not real Anne Rice fans, who actually read the books, and not skim it, and or HATE Tom Cruise, who was, and still more accurate to Lestat. They should have called it something else, instead of "Interview Of The Vampire." And I hate the ending, it was so boring and a let down, especially showing "Armand" so early, even though I predicted it. I will be fine with them changing the timeline and change the race, but they did not! It's really pain me to see "fans" say it is so accurate to the books, what were they reading? It was NOT! The movie was more accurate.
well bye then LOL
Girl, you are in the comments of every youtube video about this show, talking about how much you hate it, I think you protest too much. It can’t be healthy to carry around that much negativity. Find shows that you like and stick to them, and stop watching content about the ones you don’t like. Jeez!
Need a tissue? Wanna cry some more? Love when I see people whining like this.
bye, we'll be over here enjoying ourselves rereading the books and watching the series
You’ve been saying that for eternity. Yet you keep seeking and watching content about the show. You are obsessed with your hatred. It shows character. Your character. It’s much more rewarding sharing what you love rather than seeking what you hate.If I were you I would watch Tom Cruise as Lestat content and share your love over there. To each his/ her own I guess. But it does show your character and credibility.😂😂😂
These two are amazing and I love them both
