Just got back from Vegas and the trip was different than in years past. I do thinking will be going back no time soon. The expense, the construction and the constant change is just not pleasing.

This is something the Las Vegas Casinos & some Restaurants always wanted an exclusive elite type of clientele. That’s why a lot of locals don’t visit the strip anymore. Prices, parking are very pricey and inconvenient. The days of the 80’s, 90’s & early 2000’s all gone to never come back.
100% agree! We never go to the strip any more due to the ridiculous costs.
Not only Vegas locals, but people are now playing at their local casinos because the Strip casinos don’t care about low rollers.
People come from all over the world everyday and are willing to pay for the Vegas experience.
Like lake Las Vegas they steal billions of gallons of water from the river to fill their drying lake! Republicans are thrives! VOTE BLUE FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP

@@marshall.cochran Make that Excalibur and Circus Circus. I understand the monetary reasons of bringing in additional revenue by having hotels that cater to families, but to me, Vegas - at least the Strip - is an adult town and should cater to adults only. It never will, but I still like the idea.

It's rather strange how Clark County seems more interested in F1's concerns over those of Ellis Island and the businesses that were clearly harmed by the last F1 race.

Our family planted our roots in Las Vegas back in the early 70s. We bought 2.5 acres of land in the far northwest. The transformation Las Vegas has experienced over the years, is bitter sweet. Vegas has become crowded and expensive. Becoming a city for the rich.

I’ve been enjoying Vegas about twice a year since the late 80s. It was cool then and is awesome now as well! Things can’t stay the same for ever, that’s how things don’t make it in the long run. It’s exciting to see the innovations and updates through the years.
Greed has destroyed Las Vegas, it's not even fun to go there anymore. I walked 2.6 miles to get a 44oz. refill for $1.29 vs 20oz for $6.00 at the casino. WAY too expensive with all the hidden fees. Parking, resort fee, food prices, tight ass machines, 6/5 blackjack w/ $25 min bet, triple 0 roulette, no free drinks while playing, just to name a few. Not how it was back in the good ol days when coins fell in the metal box, lol lol that noise was priceless. Darrin North Dakota former MARINE.

Well.. it’s lovely that Rio is trying so hard to overcome its low end past…but my recent visit proved to me that the casino is still a dark, weird mess. Sorry!!
I live here also,why is that? I went to a show a couple years ago,and the casino floor,was almost pitch black.i remember how lit up and fun with an exciting sky show..it feels like somebody died..it's kind of depressing

Just got back from weekend at Sphere.
Will NEVER GO BACK TO VEGAS!
It’s just one big cash grab.
Stayed at Orleans just a off strip.
Nice room.
BUT.,,
Arrived at 1:35. Told if I wanted to check in b4 2 it was extra 25.00 at kiosk.
Waited, went to bar and bought a beer. 9.00$ for a can of Sierra Nevada.
Walked back to line to check in.
At 10 till 2, they stated checking in people at kiosk for free.
No coffee pots in rooms anymore. Must go down an purchase from their coffee place.
No microwave anymore
No fridge unless you rent at 25.00 a day
Taxi driver said all hotels did this and got rid of buffets everywhere.
This was part of a concerted plan by the suits
The had wanted to X the buffets for awhile and Covid was the perfect time.
Closing most if not all the food courts
Orleans still had one, fuddruckers burgers and pizza and subway.
Food is cheaper at the airport!
All these places now charge a resort fee of 40.00 per day and up. I have know idea for what?!
No longer free drinks when playing slots etc.
It is now just a place for people with more dollars than sense.
Good bye Vegas, I’ll go to a Indian casino locally and Hawaii for the same money.
Wow! Thanks for the info. I was planning a fall trip but now I'll go somewhere else. O have not been there in 20 years. The dirt cheap food, free drinks and comps galore made up for losing money for fun.

Closest thing to a deal was our 15.99 ham and eggs breakfast. At our hotels Breakfast dinner. Next to big Al’s oyster bar featuring 22.00 dollar bloody Mary’s.
If you go, get a taxi from airport, they charge by zone they are taking you to. 26.00 plus tip for Orleans up to 32.00 I think for North strip
. Have them stop at a convenience store for beer. But you’ll have to ice in sink.
Driving? Orleans still had free parking, but that is becoming a rarity Vs 25 plus a day to park at most hotels
@@Oldcrow77 I'll pass. I have a Indian casino 30 miles away. If I went to Vegas it would be one huge let down. Last time I stayed at the strat and beers were 2 bucks a pint and you could keep the glass! What a shame

First time in 11 years I will not be going to Vegas for my summer poker run. The town has become an abomination of greed, theft, graft, and scam. The magic of Las Vegas is gone forever, and is not coming back anytime soon. The "Las Vegas Dream" will be shattered into a million pieces when the economic collapse is unleashed on our nation. Not sure where my new poker destination will be, but it sure as hell ain't Vegas anymore.
Ton of great information provided here. I'm personally pulling for the Rio to make a comeback. Once arguably the best off-Strip hotel and if I recall correctly, the first all-suite hotel, it was at one time a true gem, but eventually fell on hard times, becoming a shell of its former self. Here's to hoping it can return somewhat to its former glory days.

I hope somebody picks up the Beatles Love show & the Beatles store. Haven't been to Vegas since 2019. I was sick had to cancel in 2019 then the government gave us COVID wasn't going & have to wear a mask everywhere. So fast forward to 2022 & on it will cost my wife & I twice as much to go as before. Love your videos & still want to get out there at least one more time. We stay at TI which has been great.

Tanya and Dave we will be in Vegas June 24-28 staying at the Cosmopolitan. We’d love to meet for a drink at our hotel. Your videos have helped us immensely because so much has changed. My first trip to Vegas was May 1975. I stayed at the Flamingo before the towers were built. I have photos of me on the diving board Ann Margaret and Elvis were on. Hope you can make it to the Chandelier bar 😊🩵

A big recommendation for any of you "Ka" lovers and fans is to try the VIP Experience! I did this by myself a few months back and you get a real treat! There's a complementary drink (32oz), snack, an auditorium AND backstage tour prior to the show, a meet & greet with some of the cast in a VIP lounge, a personal photo with whoever is in your meet & greet, and great seats for your performance!

Ok let’s set things straight: Conor vs Chandler ain’t gonna happen. Never was. Conor has checked out mentally of fighting, he just loves the adulation and fame. Vegas has gotten to expensive in this insane inflation. Until these places start pricing things for the average joe, Vegas will start losing more restaurants and more. There is only so many rich folks out there that even want to go to LV. The golf place was always gonna fail, everyone that travels to Vegas has been to a top golf before, and darn sure don’t want to be hitting golf balls in 110 degree weather. It will fail. F1 is a disaster and most locals will agree as we can see even businesses are saying it’s a disaster. Been many shows closing lately, too expensive. We’ve gone to Vegas the last two years, no mas. Prices just keep going up and up and these workers striking for the “biggest pay raise ever” will backfire. See California’s new minimum wage law, already lost 10K jobs due to it and 48 chain restaurants closed this week alone. The Mirage rebuild will take about twice as long as they anticipate. The Oakland A’s are very doubtful going to Vegas now, as they have yet to secure funding completely and MLB will not back them moving until all funding is secured and proven. The construction has gotten so bad, it’s driving folks away also. People are discovering other places to go than Vegas due to social media and are going to those places. Yes Vegas still has huge numbers, but 3 years on from the Coof, people will say ok, we did the Vegas thing on to something else. There has been an inordinate amount of food places closing on the strip, expect that to continue. Flights are about to go up almost 27% from last year, that will slow travel, along with the mess that is air travel. So, Vegas may be spending like there is no end at the bottom of the well, but they’re about to find that end. Already rumblings about Fontaine Bleu being in a financial bind. My money is going elsewhere, tired of paying $90 for a decent to average steak in Vegas and $30 for a dang hamburger and $7 for French fries. Viva Las Vegas!! Bye bye
We saw Ka last November and it is definitely one of our favorite Cirque shows. It would be a shame for it to close.

I arrived two days ago. I do enjoy the heat! When I left Germany, it was only in the low 60s. It's in the 40s at night. And raining pretty much every day.

We dont travel anymore unless its in the motorhome....I have found Vegas not to be RV friendly at all...Therefore we usually stay at SamsTown KOA when in town there and rent a car to get around.....Much more prefer Laughlin as its RV friendly EVERYWHERE lol....Havent visited a steakhouse in yrs...Last one i think was Texas Roadhouse....I get my steaks at that world renowned luxury resort known for the best steaks with their beautiful BBQ set up known as Puerto Backyarda !!!! ....Yea after the luster of having a new team wears off will be real interesting to see how baseball does in Vegas with that heat....Football season is cooler, alot cooler in Vegas....And yea, i know the stadium will be air conditioned....SO WHAT, when you go to Vegas will baseball be on the agenda with all else there is to do ???? Just to watch what is basically at present due to extreme poor ownership nothing more than a AAA ballclub ???? And to deal with the heat getting there....Just like Arizona , am thinking day games will be a major league no no in Vegas and i dont see the A's nite games competing very well with Vegas nightlife...Watch out taxpayers....

Las Vegas during F1 is a total and complete mess. I stay as far away from Las Vegas as I can during the F1. F1 destroys everything fun about Las Vegas.
I am not fond of (indiginous) Indian Owned Casinos. They have all of their reservations to do that stuff & they pay very few taxes. ie They have a very unfair edge.

Excalibur and luxor are still open because they are propped up by mandalay bay! Plus there proximity to allegiant stadium makes them valuable commodities. Luxor is run horribly. I hate to see the mirage go!!! I'd say it's top 10 in vegas
