He always incorporate jokes. Filipinos love him because of his authenticity, his intelligence and humor.
that's true, Filipino loves him because not "other" professional, polite "politicians" he don't talk bullshish and pretend to be an angel. He's real, take it or leave it. He's not a typical politician. He knows the real problems on the ground (of the poors). His slogan is not "I'm going to help/feed the poor" bullshish thing like most of the politicians will preach to earn public support, but rather "I will fix this effin government no matter how many bullshish would come my way", so that the next generation will not suffer. Hence, he always say, " if you destroy my country, I will kill you". And no other bullshish politician will ever say that. He's anti-elite that's why he's very relatable to us. I have to say that PDuterte brought my nationalism for my country back. Despite of his foul mouth, he manages to capture that Pride and brought it back for this nation. He manages to do so much within 6 years of his term. If covid did'nt happen, i think he will be able to do so much more but i am also thankful in a way that when this pandemic hit - he is the right man in position. Now as of this comment, i can see that Philippines economy is already bouncing back towards recovery and that for me is an indication PRRD is actually doing something right. With a lot of things PRRD admin did that can easily pass as his legacy, the best i think is that he steered the country back towards the necessary path and set the right foundation in order to give this nation the best chance for its future. I can't thank PRRD enough for that. PRRD only wants to be remembered as someone who did the best he can but in actuality he did more than that. If you would only get to know BBM the way that we know him you would probably understand how much of a simple person he is, very down to earth, he doesn't brag, he would rather do things without people knowing than have all the media's attention at him. Du30 said that the US won't help Philippines if 3rd WW occurs then the male interviewer said that US was there when typhoon Haiyan hit Philippines then Pres Du30 replied " that's not a war" Typhoon haiyan is not a war it's a calamity made by climate change that industrialized country's fault. There are some incidents that US didn't help or care when Chinese occupied our two islands located in West Philippine sea like what happened way back year 2012. US and Philippines have mutual defence treaty but in times of trouble US left us. US only help us when our country hit by big typhoons because US knows that they were one of the big contributor to climate change and we filipinos suffer for what they did to mother earth. The interviewer already exercised what the President had just said, he used the situation when the Typhoon came, another country(US) came in to assist. But then, the President emphasized that the Typhoon is different from a War.

At around 8:00, he was talking about Climate Change, which also caused more destructive natural calamities like Typhoon Haiyan. He says committing to the limits of carbon emissions which predominantly imposed also by the more developed economies, places countries like the Philippines at a disadvantage because it also limits economic growth.
He was saying he is cutting ties because when other countries who offers help, like the U.S, It's not technically a help at all, because they ask something in return. And with the typhoon hayan help question that you didn't understand, they were talking about war and Duterte told him that the scenario can't be equated to war (nuclear and superpower countries i.e), which obliterates a nation.

Duterte responded at 8:00 , "THAT IS NOT A WAR". At 8:42 - 9:59 , Duterte expressed that Typhoon Haiyan is an effect of climate change and the major contributors to the climate change are the industrialized and 1st world countries. Ironic that these 1st world countries tried to impede and limits the growth of 3rd world and developing nations by limiting their carbon footprints. These highly industrialized nations however sets no limits to their industrialization even if they have reached their peaks already. And because of that, he firmly expressed that, in the first place, these 1st world countries are the major contributors of climate change. For him, there is an uneven distribution of limitations when it comes to developing countries' growth and industrialization. At 31:48 you mentioned that BBM and Duterte are not the same. And it made you wonder what made BBM leads today's election polls. You are correct. They are two totally different individuals whose personalities are from the opposite sides of the spectrum. You said: 1. BBM does not talk like Duterte. - Of course! Their formed personalities are because of the environment they belong or that surrounds them growing up. As I mentioned, their personalities are from different sides of the spectrum. A lot of bad things has been said to BBM when in fact they are simply referring to his father. And all the weight of this burden BBM carried all the way through even up to this day. These people never see him as a different persona from his father. Also, he never talked shit against anybody ever since. The family never gave out any negated remarks to anyone. And he talks with so much passion, love and positivity. You can see it from his interviews. I believe you agree with this for I watched your reaction to his SMNI Presidentiable interview video. 3. Duterte does not deliver things the way BBM does (how do you mean this? or do you mean the other way around?) - This we have to see yet if he wins. 4. Filipinos wants BBM because Duterte's daughter (Sara Duterte/ Inday Sara) is working with him? - PRRD and BBM has the same political goals - unity against the ruling oligarchs. Both wants to fight for the country against the forces that kept the country weak and the people poor. His opponents find it hard to withdraw from 70s and 80s Martial Law perceptions. They find it hard to swallow the fact that BBM and his late father are not one and the same. They are two totally different individuals. Opposition's negative campaigning backfires. Instead of highlighting their records and capabilities, candidates engages in political punches and attacking BBM to take him down. As of current, this strategy failed big time and is unproductive and a waste of time. The opponent's challenge is to differentiate themselves. And attacking BBM will never be useful. Yes, there is a sense of pride in Duterte as a Filipino - who loves his country and brethrens so much. It was so funny how president Duterte initiated the Long term dispute ( 27 years) about the burial of President Marcos at Libingan ng mga bayani . He took them all by surprise 😂 there were a lot of opposition filed to the court but the supreme court favored Pres. Duterte, ruling that none of which are directly affected (will cause direct injury) if the burial shall proceed. Pres. Duterte, in his comment through the Solicitor General said that it's time for Healing for the Philippines which really make sense ❤️🩹
There’s a lot of factors why BBM is extremely popular at the moment. First, he has a strong voter base up north then he allied with a Duterte who captures the South. Second, him being a Marcos is both a curse and a blessing. The first half of Marcos presidency was said to be the golden age of the Philippines and a lot of Filipinos still remember those days. Third, most Filipinos are sick of the opposition (Leni Robredo’s political party), evidently with Duterte’s win and BBM’s lead. Finally, even though BBM is a wealthy man of culture, he’s still down to earth and charismatic. I can also say that his campaign strategy is well thought of. VP Leni Robredo would have been more relatable given her background, but oh my God, her supporters are just these annoying Umbridge-esque elitists with Messianic complex. Her campaign strategy is all over the place. I honestly think that she’s a good and decent public servant but she’s just so hard to sell and I find it difficult to buy her style of leadership. I need more than clean track record and public service. I need someone more shrewd as president. I’m not saying she’s dumb. She’s a very educated woman, but she’s not shrewd enough to advance the interest of the Philippines in the foreign political scene. Personally, I will support BBM mainly because of his foreign policy. The other front runners will turn the Philippines into Ukraine 2.0 with how they answered the questions about foreign policy. That and his intention to continue what the Duterte admin had started are enough for me. I just can’t see VP Leni Robredo handling Putin and Xi Jin Ping, not because she’s a woman, but with how unconvincing she sounds. Her answers about internet censorship and wishy washy stance on divorce and abortion are also disappointing, given the fact that she belongs to the “Liberal Party”, but she does not push Liberal ideals, like she does not know what she’s talking about, half of the time. I could be wrong, but that’s just my opinion.

Duterte feels like as the industrialized countries advance more and more we, the Philippines are the ones getting affected the most to their consequences. I think what PRRD was trying to explain was that US, Europe and even China underwent an industrial revolution where extensive use of coal, diesel and other hazardous carbon emitting substance to be where they are now - a highly industrialize economy. The Philippines too wants to achieve that status but that ambition was hindered when it was required to sign an international environmental law. To him that was hypocrisy.
As a Filipino, I personally don't love the America. I don't hate them either. They are just that for me, just America. Just another country. that's true, Filipino loves him because not "other" professional, polite "politicians" he don't talk bullshish and pretend to be an angel. He's real, take it or leave it. He's not a typical politician. He knows the real problems on the ground (of the poors). His slogan is not "I'm going to help/feed the poor" bullshish thing like most of the politicians will preach to earn public support, but rather "I will fix this effin government no matter how many bullshish would come my way", so that the next generation will not suffer. I have to say that PDuterte brought my nationalism for my country back. Despite of his foul mouth, he manages to capture that Pride and brought it back for this nation. He manages to do so much within 6 years of his term. If covid did'nt happen, i think he will be able to do so much more but i am also thankful in a way that when this pandemic hit - he is the right man in position. Now as of this comment, i can see that Philippines economy is already bouncing back towards recovery and that for me is an indication PRRD is actually doing something right. With a lot of things PRRD admin did that can easily pass as his legacy, the best i think is that he steered the country back towards the necessary path and set the right foundation in order to give this nation the best chance for its future. I can't thank PRRD enough for that. PRRD only wants to be remembered as someone who did the best he can but in actuality he did more than that. Sadly his term ends this June 30, 2022, but he will surely be the President truly remembered as the father of this nation.

There are some incidents that US didn't help or care when Chinese occupied our two islands located in West Philippine sea like what happened way back year 2012. US and Philippines have mutual defence treaty but in times of trouble US left us. At around 8:00, he was talking about Climate Change, which also caused more destructive natural calamities like Typhoon Haiyan. He says committing to the limits of carbon emissions which predominantly imposed also by the more developed economies, places countries like the Philippines at a disadvantage because it also limits economic growth.
He was saying he is cutting ties because when other countries who offers help, like the U.S, It's not technically a help at all, because they ask something in return. And with the typhoon hayan help question that you didn't understand, they were talking about war and Duterte told him that the scenario can't be equated to war (nuclear and superpower countries i.e), which obliterates a nation.

Majority of us (Filipino) want BBM to be the next Philippines president because among the presidential candidates (10 candidates) only BBM sided with the current administration and he will continue the works of PRRD and importantly BBM will protect PRRD from ICC.
PRRD RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE is streetsmart. We felt his sincere intention for the Philippines and the Filipinos.
BBM is "well educated" in terms of diplomacy since he grew up in MALACAÑANG, the official residence if the Philippine President. We feel his sincere intention for the Philippines and the Filipinos, same way PRRD does.
They were talking about being an ally with other countries and wars. At 7:44 , the male journalist asked PRRD about disaster relief and Typhoon Haiyan.
Duterte responded at 8:00 , "THAT IS NOT A WAR".
At 8:42 - 9:59 , Duterte expressed that Typhoon Haiyan is an effect of climate change and the major contributors to the climate change are the industrialized and 1st world countries. Ironic that these 1st world countries tried to impede and limits the growth of 3rd world and developing nations by limiting their carbon footprints. These highly industrialized nations however sets no limits to their industrialization even if they have reached their peaks already.
And because of that, he firmly expressed that, in the first place, these 1st world countries are the major contributors of climate change.
For him, there is an uneven distribution of limitations when it comes to developing countries' growth and industrialization.
At 31:48 you mentioned that BBM and Duterte are not the same. And it made you wonder what made BBM leads today's election polls.
You are correct. They are two totally different individuals whose personalities are from the opposite sides of the spectrum.

1. BBM does not talk like Duterte. - Of course! Their formed personalities are because of the environment they belong or that surrounds them growing up. As I mentioned, their personalities are from different sides of the spectrum. BBM is very elegant, well-bred if you may, elite, gentle, eloquent, etc.
Duterte on the other hand is tough, street-talker, street-smart, so much bravado, also intelligent and vey simple guy. You can see his simpliciity in many videos. He does not care how he looks in front of the public or camera, he acts and moves in accordance to what is comfortable to him. He does not even wear the barong Tagalog or a suit properly, he is not elegant, during interviews he normaly sits relaxingly without poise, he is very straight-forward, etc.
2. Most Filipinos cannot relate to BBM - I disagree. Filipinos has a soft heart to someone who is being beaten so hard by the public. Someone who they feel as an underdog. And BBM is one perfect example. Some Filipinos, the elite and the mainstream media tries so hard to paint BBM as a replica of his father. A lot of bad things has been said to BBM when in fact they are simply referring to his father. And all the weight of this burden BBM carried all the way through even up to this day. These people never see him as a different persona from his father.
Also, he never talked shit against anybody ever since. The family never gave out any negated remarks to anyone. And he talks with so much passion, love and positivity. You can see it from his interviews. I believe you agree with this for I watched your reaction to his SMNI Presidentiable interview video.
3. Duterte does not deliver things the way BBM does (how do you mean this? or do you mean the other way around?) - This we have to see yet if he wins.
4. Filipinos wants BBM because Duterte's daughter (Sara Duterte/ Inday Sara) is working with him? - PRRD and BBM has the same political goals - unity against the ruling oligarchs. Both wants to fight for the country against the forces that kept the country weak and the people poor.
His opponents find it hard to withdraw from 70s and 80s Martial Law perceptions. They find it hard to swallow the fact that BBM and his late father are not one and the same. They are two totally different individuals.
Opposition's negative campaigning backfires. Instead of highlighting their records and capabilities, candidates engages in political punches and attacking BBM to take him down. As of current, this strategy failed big time and is unproductive and a waste of time. The opponent's challenge is to differentiate themselves. And attacking BBM will never be useful.
Yes, there is a sense of pride in Duterte as a Filipino - who loves his country and brethrens so much. And that's what the masses (w/c comprises the majority of the country and the electorate) senses or feels. Even his bravado and the way he talks and moves, very typical Filipino. It was so funny how president Duterte initiated the Long term dispute ( 27 years) about the burial of President Marcos at Libingan ng mga bayani . He took them all by surprise 😂 there were a lot of opposition filed to the court but the supreme court favored Pres. Duterte, ruling that none of which are directly affected (will cause direct injury) if the burial shall proceed. Pres. Duterte, in his comment through the Solicitor General said that it's time for Healing for the Philippines which really make sense ❤️🩹
It's in the Constitution, so legally it is correct to bury a former president and a soldier to libingan ng mga bayani! No ifs, no but!

There’s a lot of factors why BBM is extremely popular at the moment. First, he has a strong voter base up north then he allied with a Duterte who captures the South. Second, him being a Marcos is both a curse and a blessing. The first half of Marcos presidency was said to be the golden age of the Philippines and a lot of Filipinos still remember those days. Third, most Filipinos are sick of the opposition (Leni Robredo’s political party), evidently with Duterte’s win and BBM’s lead. Finally, even though BBM is a wealthy man of culture, he’s still down to earth and charismatic. I can also say that his campaign strategy is well thought of. VP Leni Robredo would have been more relatable given her background, but oh my God, her supporters are just these annoying Umbridge-esque elitists with Messianic complex. Her campaign strategy is all over the place. I honestly think that she’s a good and decent public servant but she’s just so hard to sell and I find it difficult to buy her style of leadership. I need more than clean track record and public service. I need someone more shrewd as president. I’m not saying she’s dumb. She’s a very educated woman, but she’s not shrewd enough to advance the interest of the Philippines in the foreign political scene. Personally, I will support BBM mainly because of his foreign policy. The other front runners will turn the Philippines into Ukraine 2.0 with how they answered the questions about foreign policy. That and his intention to continue what the Duterte admin had started are enough for me. I just can’t see VP Leni Robredo handling Putin and Xi Jin Ping, not because she’s a woman, but with how unconvincing she sounds. Her answers about internet censorship and wishy washy stance on divorce and abortion are also disappointing, given the fact that she belongs to the “Liberal Party”, but she does not push Liberal ideals, like she does not know what she’s talking about, half of the time. I could be wrong, but that’s just my opinion.

Duterte is explaining how the industrialized countries contributed most of the gas emissions that is causing the climate changes, and the thypoon Haiyan is a prime example of the effects of the climate change.
Duterte feels like as the industrialized countries advance more and more we, the Philippines are the ones getting affected the most to their consequences.
He feels like U.S and other big nations should help those smaller ones who's suffering from climate changes, it's their fault, after all.

I think what PRRD was trying to explain was that US, Europe and even China underwent an industrial revolution where extensive use of coal, diesel and other hazardous carbon emitting substance to be where they are now - a highly industrialize economy. The Philippines too wants to achieve that status but that ambition was hindered when it was required to sign an international environmental law. To him that was hypocrisy.

As a Filipino, I personally don't love the America. I don't hate them either. They are just that for me, just America. Just another country. Around my circle it may be 1 out of 10 who would say they love/like America. I think it became an exaggeration just because a lot of Filipinos are working in the U.S.
