I hope that Apple CarPlay becomes available one day through a software update. It seems unlikely the proprietary InControl Apps ecosystem is going to grow.
Annoys me that Land Rover does not supply updates to 2016 vehicles anymore. Quite annoying.

Gentleman - If I am not mistaken the Apple Car Play / In Control App was introduced to the LR4 line up in 2013 - 2016 models. You're getting the error because the software is not located in your current configuration. I believe there is a way to update it either by updating software or in some cases replacing the unit to a newer gen model. Surprised no one from Land Rovers team hasnt responded to this inquiry over the past year on their official page. Really strange.
@@andrewjohn1983 Land Rover sucks. I called 5 dealers in Southern California and nobody was tracking that you can update the LR4s. Called corporate and they had to look it up, and the LR4 did not get the update.
Same issue on a 2016 LR4 HSE
