    Another great video guys. It’s been fun following your journey! The light house in MB is not real but marks Coquina Harbor, home to four marinas and a sought after hurricane hole in the summer. If you tried to get a slip at Lightkeepers Marina, they don’t usually have slips available but Myrtle Beach Yacht Club is in the back of the harbor and usually has transient space on their fuel dock. MBYC also has the very low priced diesel fuel so many plan a stop to fuel up. Clark’s seafood and chop house has delicious food and a local favorite. While too late for you guys, I’m sure other loopers following you may want to consider this stop on their travel North.

    I love North Myrtle Beach!!! You guys should have tendered over to Barefoot landing for beers and dinner. Love your videos. Looking to buy a boat and do the loop. Want to start in the great lakes like you. Actively boat shopping. Great video again. Dave from Oregon. Ps. Stop in at Hurricane Jules in Little River for shrimp and grits.

      Hello Dave! Thank you so much for supporting our journey! We wished we could have stayed in Myrtle Beach longer, there is so much to see there. Happy boat shopping! All the planning is so worth it. Hope to see you on the water :)

    Hi Andromeda,
    My wife and I have been watching from the start of journey. We feel like we know you guys. We have a boat and are preparing for our journey in 2025. I want to know why your shore power cord is set up on the bow? Benefits vs drawbacks?

    • @cruisingandromeda
      @cruisingandromeda  Місяць тому

      Hello Bill! Thank you so much for sticking with us! Great question about the power cord. We can plug in either way, stern in or bow in. We prefer bow in as it is easier with Ollie getting on and off Andromeda. Bow in sometimes is easier as Ollie gets less distracted with people on the dock and wanting to join them for an impromptu walk :). We run the cord along the side rails so we always have the quick option when docking. We are planning on going south again next fall, Maybe we will cross paths! Happy loop planning! It is so worth all the prep work :)

    Once again, watching one of your videos gave me a valuable tip. I never thought about displaying the MMSI number somewhere on the helm. I would have taken a minute to find it as well. The last big 'lesson' I learned was from your mishap of shutting the engines off when coming into the covered slip. I have dockhands tell me all the time "You can shut it off". NOPE! Not until I'm ready. Thanks again for the great videos. Your videos will be in my neck of the woods soon.

      @cruisingandromeda  Місяць тому +1

      Thank you so much for sharing that! We really appreciate the feedback . We often joke about the "You can shut it off" moment. NOPE is right! Fool me once.....Thank you for joining us :)

    We had so much fun meeting up with you. And it was nice to see that stretch of the ICW again, it seems so long ago but it has only been a few months. We are looking forward to heading south, wish you were our buddy boat and the pups could play some more. Hopefully after you thaw out you will make back to North Carolina. 💙😘💙

    Huge respect to you guys and also for sharing all of this. After watching the whole journey to date, the one thing that you had to begin was a story, a vision, a journey. It would be great to know where these are now aside from each leg. How are you finding the leap, the time from family, work and boat, how will you boat when you return, how’s it changed you. Of course you might not want to share that which is cool, it’s just those things in your early vids which made them so enticing. Keep up the great work

      Thank you so very much! We both appreciate this feedback more than you know. As we are coming closer to completing our loop we will definitely answer these questions, because you are right that we have changed and learned so much through this journey! Thank you so much for sticking with us! :)

      How much of a learning curve have you had to make ? Remember that Looper plans are written in the sand at low tide !

    Thanks for showing the disconnecting from water/electricity and casting off procedure, assuming that's the correct term, I had been wondering about that

    Another great video it looks gorgeous, especially now in the fall and upper Michigan when the weather starting to get ugly and the boat is put away .
    Is it my imagination or is the ICW easier than the Mississippi river system coming out of Chicago to the golf?
    Thanks again for the great video so happy to see you The Dog having a good time. Take care thanks again. Fred

      @cruisingandromeda  Місяць тому

      Hello Fred! Thank you so much! Tides were a big learning curve for us on the ICW. Bob says the ICW was easier for him, but I found the river travel very peaceful (except for our little incident of course lol) Ollie liked the slower speeds in the river too! :)
