I got my headlamps dried out and now I’m going to pull the front bumper so I can pull the headlamps and pressure test them like you show in another video. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge on these beautiful BMW’s, I own a 2013 535i with 71,067 miles on it. In the last two months my headlamps started getting a bunch of condensation in them and I never had that before, it caused her to start giving me the adaptive headlight malfunction, headlight aim, and daytime running lights alarms. After drying them out good and restarting her all those alarms went away. I’ve got to now pull the headlamp assembly’s on both sides to see where the water is coming in at and fix it. I would not have been able to do this as easy as I have without your video! Thank you for sharing your skills, I’m good working on things, but I get nervous when it comes to my BMW. Again thank you and keep posting the good videos!✌🏼❤💯

I worked on a flooded f10, tried crossing flooded road and of course got stuck in the middle when the engine ingested water. Luckily engine was fine, drained intercooler, removed interior and dried all carpets. Car ran fine years after that, if you deal with it right away nothing fails. Even after that, moisture is very dangerous if all water is not out.

Salut ! nu ma supar , intradevar de fabrica au threadlocker dar cu timpul, mai ales ca masina a avut umezeala si nici pe viitor nu se stie prin ce va trece masina asta , vaselina e mai buna ! Some advice on your repair of the rubber steering column boot, or well rubber in general, spraying WD40 on any rubber parts is a bad idea, in time the WD40 will make the rubber disintegrate, usually it starts by just swelling and soon after just falling appart. Use silicone spray instead to make things glide. I would replace that rubber boot you shown, It's a pain in the absolute bum to replace though. once it pops off its a giant pain to put back in general. I think a lot of people pop these off and spray some stuff down in the steering clumn to fix another common issue, steering creeeks, especially in cold weather, My fix is to spray silicone spray down through the boot without taking it off. saves the pain and this problem aswell. Great video as always though, fixing drowned cars is a horrible job. full respect.
Thanks for your advice 👍, I didn't use the wd40 on the rubber I have used it to lube the shaft for the nylon bush to easy slide back , but for that rubber piece to be affected by the wd40 will need to be soaked for a quite long period time in oil . If you respect the procedure and have the necessary tools nothing is to complicated 😀
Great video..Best guy for BMW for sure. . In my country you would be milionare in a year... We have bmw dealer and sefvise there is to connect computer and what it say thay tell you to buy new part from tham. Maybe 1 wire can be disconnected thay just look errors and dont bother do see the problem.. So id you want to be a millionare in 1 year, move to Croatia.
You should have checked also the sealing of the doorcovers. This is one of the most common causes for water ingress in these cars. I had the rear of my car (F11) flooded with water, even more than in your car. Came from bad covers in the rear doors. The seals harden out over time. BMW does this bad design since a long time (had the same problem in my E39).
You're talking about the anti-condensation barrier ( that is the name of that part ), but it wasn't from there , off camera I did several thorough checks including sunroof drains. The problem you say is not caused by BMW, on the contrary, that system is very good, but when someone who messes around where he shouldn't , and doesn't seal them back correctly, you will have problems with water like you already have experienced . That reusable sealant does not dry and it is an very high quality sealant !

Mate I have exactly same problem with my F10. Rear left side are full of water and many faults are on my dashboard. Any idea what I can do :(
