I'm here with my pair of Hampsteads on my lap. Quick suggestion to those who don't wanna shell out for some saphir shoe polish and creams. I used burgundy moneysworth & best to bring my ebay bought pair back to life. It arrived and the right shoe looked like the previous owner kicked a rock face with all his might. Took scratches out with 180, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, grit sandpaper, acetoned the pair and did a water dunk and deep clean (Toe box had mold in it.) dried on shoe trees and now it's almost looking brand new. All those tricks are all thanks to this channel.

Head Shaking WOW!!! Kudos to the owner who had the foresight to envision those shoes could come out really good if done right. and same goes to the elegant oxford who made the shoes even better than anyone could have imagined. you are the very best at that "burnish" or gradient look. I love that and will TRY doing it on a pair i have. FANTASTIC WORK.

What a difference! When you first said the customer wanted the lighter areas to match the weave, I was thinking, "Sacrilege!" But they look so much better now. While watching, I also had an epiphany about why I don't care for black shoes - they will never be any color other than black! Except for an extra shine on the toe, you can't really add a patina or color variation. Great video!
