You can look from the top and see if there’s a skinny black line through the card, if you don’t see a line then it’s not real but if it does then it is real

if your dealing with a japanese card, look for a black line between. They are also thinner and usually have a better and more vibrant print.

Alright, here’s the thing, i ended up winning a pack of 100 pc ex cards off Temu, I’m fully expecting them to be fake, I’m not gonna rip any because in the title it’s obvious they don’t have duplicates but I’m trying to learn the tips
I know for sure I have real cards that I can compare which is probably key
Even if they are fake, which again, there’s probably like a 1% chance they’re real, I’ll still end up keeping them
Also, you can look at the very top of the card and it should have a black line so you can do that instead of ripping it

I had a suspicon for years that this one primal groundon EX card (ya know those ones with a signature) was fake cause it wasn't holo and made noise when I rubbed my finger against it... so I ripped it today...and it had the black line on the inside

why is the fake cards looking much better than the real cards? it's shinier than the real card, it's colour is better, the back of the card looks great with gloss, texture is better. but the only thing it's bad is you can't sell or trade it.

Ok I have a Raikou and I trade my black Charizard for it and I saw it looked fake it had glossy back of it and I ripped and it took a minute but when I ripped it there was no black ink mark on it
I got all GiratinaEx and MewtwoEx and VirizionEx and Deoxys and Lugia Ex in my first card opening. All are real.
you forgot two more ways 1st check the prize if it's cheap it's fake you can tell by original prize
2st check the color of the red part of the ball

disclaimer : korean cards do not have a black ink line but they have a blueish cardstock when you rip one
You should of ripped it it would have made the other Charizard cards more valuable because there is one taken from the market making it more rare.

Tip:if you want to know if you have a fake card go to the right and look on the bottom on the edge and if there's a star or circle or any other shapes it's real but if it doesn't it's fake
