I hope you pass. I hope every single person watching this video passes whatever exam they are trying to pass. I described very obvious seizure symptoms for TWO DECADES to several doctors and got diagnosed with... PMS and migraines. In the early 2000s. In America. why.
Shocking how putting a *child* on 800mg of ibuprofen at a TIME did not stop anything. How weird. Who could have predicted that. I stopped taking it, of course. I didn't know anything about medicine, but I wasn't stupid. Migraines don't come with sudden, intense fear and half of your body just... collapsing for no reason. On one side only. "Migraine" is still my official classification, I think, but at least now one person recognizes dysautonomia (and the seizure link, after I've had literally dozens of concussions from passing out or falling.) One medication treats documented other issues AND is an anti-epileptic.
Funny how I haven't had many issues since then, huh?
I hope future doctors and physical therapists start to recognize that not every "bad headache" in someone they 'diagnose' as female automatically gets called a migraine. Maybe don't treat every headache like a case on House either, but don't just wave off certain symptoms as a migraine and "take Midol" about it.
These mini-lectures made what's happening much easier to understand for a non-med student. I'm sure you'll pass your exam! You'll do great!

The concept of "myoclonic atonic" is confusing, like how can the muscle jerk/twitch without tone.
Also what differentiates complex partial from abscence.
Complex partial is characterized by impaired consciousness and a post-ictal confusion.
Absence seizures are characterized by a very brief staring spell with NO post ictal confusion, and a 3-Hz spike and wave complex on EEG
In simple words: For complex partial: think of a person walking around, being able to open cupboards and fridges, doing routine things, without being aware what they are doing. There have been some cases where they get into a car. With absences, time basically skips. It is not the same as feeling like you missed part of your drive to work, but it is blinking and suddenly everyone is in a different spot.
