Here's a quick review of a 2012 62 plate manual Audi S3 Black Edition Quattro, I also do a 0-60 launch. As you know I'm a huge fan of Audi and I'm a lover of sports hatches so doing a review on this S3 was a pleasure for me. I've also driven a DSG version which I really liked but sometimes you just can't beat a good old manual gearbox. If you're considering buying an Audi S3, this quick review might be worth watching. I have to say I love your passion! Quite a lovely S3 you have! I'm currently driving '13 A3, of course not as fast as yours. But honestly, I am certainly very satisfied.
Re-map it twice, trust me I've done it to mine it wrecks the golf rs

How would you compare the ride comfort to , let's say, bmw e90? I want do buy an s3 but am a little worried about the harshness of the suspension. Thanks!
the steering is pretty numb but and from what I've heard its a little stiff but nothing compared to the RS models

good review mate, im looking at a 3dr s3 (preface lift) and a e46 m3 (manual) i would stage 1 the s3 as a minimum -300bhp (stage2+ costs fair bit) . What would you go for? m3 or s3?
Ah mate that's a really difficult one. E46's are my favourite all rounder ever. I'm a huge fan of them and they're now at a good stage of time to buy one as they will begin to slowly creep up. The S3's on the other hand are also extremely nice and Audi interiors are the nicest of all cars. I personally like rear wheel drive and I'm an M3 lover so I'd go with an M3. I'm not sure that's what you want to hear tho 😁
E46 if it's in good condition ie no rust and subframe been checked and s3 in a nice all rounder good for winter but look dated imo the pre facelift anyway

I know they're similar priced but they're very different cars. e46 M3's are my favourite cars ever so personally I'd go for one of them. I do really like S3's tho, can't fault them at all. If you want a bit more excitement, tune an edition 30 golf with a DSG box. I had one at around 330bhp which doesn't sound too much but it was absolutely mental.

its the 8p if youre referring to the model and you must of had some serious money to do that to a shitty scirocco, you wont see any of that money back when you sell it so jokes on you xD

That's what I was thinking I got a normal s3 and it's got a black roof liner, you would think the black edition would have it standard

you can get whatever you want, but i wouldn't suggest getting anything like it

nani_playz110 I'm getting an a3 2.0tfsi quattro s line as my first but I am 20, kind of the baby brother to the s3. Insurance is £1700. For the s3 is ~ £3k so I'll wait another year for the insurance to come down a bit before I take the plunge
Just bought one for myself but have to wait a few months for insurance, can't wait to get myself in it and get on the road
Unknown A im 20 insurance for 18 plate s3 in Scotland for me is 3k
Sorry mate it isn't a black edition, all black editions have the black headliner no option for white. Good review though

Agreed had black edition and had black headliner... In south africa the black edition was 195kw opposed to the standard 188kw. Absolutely brilliant car

The RNSE isnt modern, practically unchanged since 2003 :-( Shame the Android ones look so fake and cheap, just have to put up with the shitty RNSE.
