- Today we are showcasing Rahi MoC 2# - The Makika. This Rahi is native to the tropical regions on the island and spend most of their lives underwater. Their razor teeth make them a deadly threat to all matoran.
Our rendition of Makika's design was inspired by the original designs. holding an overall amphibious look, but with a more Gadunka edge for the head and for a total overall Glow in the Dark Rahi Moc. We hope you enjoy this closer look at the Rahi.
The fans who truly love a franchise are the ones whom keep it alive!
Incredibly well designed and it actually looks like something that could like on the island
I love these videos
Holy hell this is an awesome build! Your rahi upgrades are great, can't wait to see them on motion
I love it!
This is so cool! I am wondering if your are filming out side. Yesterday I was inspired by one of your videos and built a cute frog that I can't wait to animate! It bears surprising resemblance for its small size.
Hi! I may not be an expert, but I do know a thing or two about animals.
Considering what you've said of its behavior and habitat, including basing its tongue on snapping turtles, the makika seem like relatively stationary ambush predators. However, several aspects of their design seems to contradict this.
First and foremost, its build seems far too bulky and robust to be a sedentary organism like snapping turtles. If you asked me, that's the bodiment of a creature which chases down its prey without concern of approaching unnoticed and using its incredible strength to overwhelm them.
Next, though the spines undeniably add some cool factor, such a feature is unlikely to appear on an animal unless they, themselves, are subject to predation from greater threats. Which either means you'd need to make a pretty big rahi to reasonably pose a threat to these creatures, or they shouldn't be there.
Thirdly, and more importantly, bioluminescence is a very bad idea for a land-dwelling ambush predator. It does little beyond alerting potential prey to your presence well in advance of actually reaching them. The reason it works in caves or the bottom of the ocean is because light is scarce and animals flock to it. Not so much on dry - or, as the case may be, wet - land.
With that said, I understand it's likely too late to make any adjustments now. Regardless, I hope you pay mind to natural principles with any rahi designs moving forward.
I love this moc now I'm curious how he would hand the other master builder rahi
That is so cool.
6:09 aint that right 😂😂
