- This video details the vocal range Tarja showed on the End Of An Era DVD. Nightwish fans often say that the End Of An Era concert was Tarja's best live showing. I don't know if I would go that far, but it is certainly in the top tier. Tarja's lower register had improved immensely and her chest voice seemed to have gotten stronger as well. Although her tone was not as dark here as in the From Wishes To Eternity concert, it was still beautiful.

i love this video cuz this is my fav concert from NW! all my fav songs are there...and the Eb6 always brings me eargasim. and the song phantom of the opera from them brought me to listen to them...it means so much to me...i still listen to NW & Tarja solo careers.
i am so happy NW could still surprise me when tarja was gone and tarja keeps experimenting music.
tarja's head voice is the best among the belt and the low notes register
she sounded flawless in End of an Era. Now she is losing her ease. she has trouble holding the C#6 of Supremacy. she has much stronger chest voice but its still halfway there
@@despairingleonardo I've seen Tarja Turunen in concert once before her pregancy and twice after her pregnancy... And Although the two Last times I saw her were 6 years apart, the only moment when I noticed a bit of vocal changing was from the first time to the second, meaning: from before and after her pregnancy. But since then, her voice seems very stable, and it is still Amazing to be in her presence...
She transmits a Lot of energy and good vibes into the crowd and people have very different emotions troughout the entire concert... It can be very energetic, even agressive at times (I remember "supremacy", "dead promises" or "plannet hell" among others), but also at some moments can get almost emotional or spiritual (I remember her acoustic setlist, or ballads like "our great divide", "until silence", etc...). I mean, it is normal that any voice matures with time, and from what I've read and informed myself, in women's case, pregrancy causes many changes in the body and can affect not only breath support, but also hormonal changes may cause a deepening of the voice... Fortunalety for us Tarja seems to keep on training her voice and trying to improve her vocal technique, so I really hope that, even with aging, her voice maintains beautiful and healthy in it's natural evolution and maturation.
And yes, even with all her health problems during the "Once" tour, she sounded really at ease throughout the entire "End of an Era" setlist... it started with those high notes in the very begining of Dark Chest of Wonders (that no other vocalist sung after) and followed with more 15 heavy songs to sing (I'm excluding High Hopes of course)... After all these years it still remains Magnificient to listen and watch, I agree! Cheers! \m/

Tarja's tones and vocal colors are always exquisite but i too was more in awe of her earlier mezzo , deep , lower register..so mesmerizing...love you Tarja!!!!!

I miss her. I was a fan of might wish since I was born it feels like and now that id be able to go to one of their concerts Tara isn't part anymore. She is with no doubt the most versatile singer in the world
no need to despair, her solo performances are incredible and she performs many NW songs, still...
It still amazes me how she was able to hold so much stamina in this concert considering she was sick. This puts Floor to shame tbh

Not to mention some headbanging, not much but she still did a windmill in bless the child and other songs some regular badass headbangs. I wonder if she got headaches. Especially the bright lights outfit changes she did not wanna disappoint no one
