Water feels kinda overrated, a 20 elemental hitzone isn't that hot. Not enough to justify using elemental phials (those typically need hitzones of 35+, maaaybe 30), not enough to justify losing raw to use something like Ceadeus CB. Poison I did consider and even try out! But EX Deviants are so resistant to status that I thought just plain spamming high phial damage would work out better >_>;
What do you mean? You get the blue shield when the valor gauge is full. While it's full, you also charge phials pretty fast. Some combos are different though, I believe you can only do the charged A move from a Valor Sheathe (Y>A) or after the shield thrust, but not from idle like in other styles.
@@starchythepotato2877 the head has awful hitzone values, but when it's broken cutting damage does more. But with damage values at around 20, breaking his head is an absolute pain
How do you draw straight into axe mode? I'm coming from MHWorld. Currently in HR 8 star. Been playing with valor cb. And still don't knoe how to draw straight into axe mode. Any help is welcome. Awesome video btw!!!
in case this technique still eludes you for another week, the buttons to press are X+A+R at the same time. Works without filled valor gauge, too. (Also works in World ;) ) Cheers
@@mauricejames8969 I actually fired up MH:GU just to see if I could do it valorless :) So the button combinations should definitly be the same. World does have a lot of nicer timings, tho... maybe that is throwing you off? The best of luck to you in your hunts :)
I would fire the guy at capcom who thought giving this abomination a deviant form was a good idea. Uragaan is the bane of my existance, he is one of the most boring and tedious fights, he has a lot of hp and he just looks stupid as hell!

He's not using a blunt weapon and can't soften the head.
