Pretty darn cool!!!! SOLD! I've wanted a BigSky for YEARS but, somehow just couldn't see laying 500 bucks down on what would essentially be a toy. The more I find out about the RV-500 and its price, weighed against the BigSky, the more I'm finding all work and no play makes reverb a dull boy! Thanks!
Thanks very detailed info awesome play as usual. I already just purchased a used Eventide Blackhole, before realising that RV500 is on sale in my area $200 😆 Is it worth getting or already overkill to mix with Blackhole? Thanks
Love your playing. Very cool use of TAP/CTL to hold the chord while playing over it! QUESTION: Is ping-pong delay available on this unit? (I see nothing about it in the RV-500 manual, but there are probably a lot of options that are visible only on the unit.) Thanks!
Can I have like two separate reverb pedals? Like using inputA with footswith A to control that channel and inputB With footwitch B to control the second channel and have the tap control for hold function?
A very good demo by Tom especially the comparison at the end but im not convinced by the RV500 ...N im a great fan of BOSS products being a GT100 owner as my main unit N loving it so far... those reverbs lack warmth IMO i prefer the BigSky quality even if im diggin right now mostly into the VENTRIS Dual Reverb engine ...reallly analog feel like reverbs ^-6
Almost all digital delays have an analog dry signal path, they just don't advertise it. It not only sounds better but it's easier to make it that way. There's no reason to convert the dry signal whatsoever.
I find Tom's playing during the demo to be very inspiring. His touch, dynamics, and precision really make me want to practice!

I have got the MD-500 so far and love it :)

Did the price go up in the last two years because they are only $79 apart.

This just sounds like another Strymon.🤣 both just a bunch of weird effects. What happened to the reverb?
