- 1953 Chirs Craft Sportsman Utility. Put away into long term storage in1967, recently discovered in Washington state. This is a video of it coming out of its hiding spot where it's been for over 40 years. Original KLC engine, original interior, very well preserved boat.
It now resides in Oregon and is used on a regular basis.
40 years ? Must of been very good temperature and humidity controlled garage LOL !
Wowww , absolutel beauty
Looks to be in pretty good shape for sitting that long. Those old woodies were and still are so cool
Unbelievable I guess the the garage must have been a very dust-free environment you guys cracked me up !!
What a beautiful find! My aunt has a Century Resorter that stayed in a boathouse for many yrs before someone found it. Hope you are enjoying it!
I really have to wonder why it was hidden away for forty years?
Hello Randall Frank, there was a death in the family and it was willed to a Newphew that had "no interest in boats" and that's a quote. I know because I asked the same question the day I bought it. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
The Newphew squirreled it away and a local Chris Craft enthusiast heard about it over a bbq. After some further vetting out, the story and the boat were legit. This video is the end result.
That is a very sexy boat!!! especially since it was in storage for 40 years!!!
That is most certainly not a 54 hull... Late 40"s or very early 50's. Nice find... The straight 6 in that utility is a classic but not much power.
Thank you for the nice comments. We've enjoyed the boat regularly since digging it out of this garage.
youre lucky to find it in great shape i found a criscraft thet was sitting for at least 37 years or more don,t really know lady died who owned it new 1946 and a friend bought the house from the grandson and he was a tree hugger so boats were dirty to him so it went with the house and he tried to restore it but too rotted so chopped it up and sold the motor and nice brass chrome parts to a restorer i guess the garage had too much moisture in it
OMG I want one so bad.
Yea💥🌱
Sitting 40 years?? That’s a federal crime!!
Real cool. Sounds like my story to.
It does have that problem of ownership. You really should sell her to ME .
cool name cool boat, must have been the town accountant, or lawyer, or mayor who christened it
got a wiring problem, the marker lights are coming on with the brake lights
Eu adquiri uma 15 ft . motor popa . logo estaremos iniciando pintura e instalação do motor .
Nice Q tags on trailer too. Lol
That's a 1950 not a '54
Wash it up and turn the key.
My cup runneth over, Better not let BARRY THE CLOWN know about it in D.C. or he might look to give you a EXTRA TAX on it!...."FIRE BARRY 2012"
1950 not ‘54
Some thing fiberglass just can't compair to
hey, you don't need a new best friend who would help you enjoy that, do you? :)
