Michael Jordan 1998: 40pts Vs Rockets (Clyde, Hakeem, Chuck)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 31 лип 2007
- I had forgotten about this game until I stumbled upon it. This was MJ's last game against Clyde, Hakeem and Barkley (aside from MJ and Hakeem meeting during the 2002 season). The veteran gathering brought out some interest in Mike and on top of that, Barkley strongly suggested that he was going to win his last game against him.
Well we know what usually happens after someone talks like that.
MJ had answers for all three HOFers in this one. Each bucket by any of them was answered immediately by MJ. MJ decided to enter his zone and from then on, the game was reduced to watching his mastery. While the Rockets kept it close until around the 4th quarter, MJ calmly picked his spots and used his incredible basketball IQ to thwart the challenge.
What you see here is MJ's perfection of the game. Sure he still could rely on his athleticism but his knowledge of the game was so high that he only needed to use little tricks to get his shots. His game was so polished and refined that even at age 35, he could dominate on call. Watching all the legends in this game was pure basketball. And watching MJ pull out another masterpiece when the world was watching was even purer.

Michael Jordan's play in this game was simply artistic! If Picasso were a basketball player, this is the way he would play.

Picasso no, davinci seria la comparacion
In some respects Wilt and Kareem might have been even more unstoppable, but no one was as artistic and thrilling as Jordan. No one else provided the same thrills at both ends of the court. so they are my top three and Jordan is the goat.

those black jerseys of bulls were so awesome
Watching games like this makes me realize that MJ is something more that GOAT. There must be some level higher than GOAT. That is where MJ belongs.
This is the most effortless-looking 40 points I've ever seen.
Michael Jordan was simply impossible to guard defend or stop. His moves and skills were just Godly. The greatest basketball player to ever walk the earth. Nobody has ever mastered the game in so many facets as Michael Jordan, the most complete basketball player ever.
Lebron vs. Jordan, is this even a debate? lol MJ is an artist with a basketball. He perfected the game. There are no holes. No mistakes. He simply plays and wins. Half of the time the defenders are just watching him... his foot work, his body movement, his shot selection... man i can watch this guy play all day.
@keepnitreel 4me you cant beat the Originator. The JORDAN RULES still applies to those guys except JORDAN WAS THE 1ST SUPERSTAR THEY GAVE THIS NAME TO. But Wilt Chamberlain was the 1st guy they implemented this on but no one gave it a name sake until Jordan Bad Boy pistons etcetera etcetera
They have LeBron rules which is flopping master
The thing that this younger generation doesn't get is that being a great basketball player isn't just about athleticism. They always say that Michael Jordan achieved everything he did because he was the only one who was athletic in the league at that time. They claim that he would just be an average player now because everyone is athletic. Not only is their theory not true about his era because he played against everyone from Dr. J to Kobe Bryant, but the last 5 years of his career he dominated with his athleticism eroding. He won 3 championships while he was past his prime and then as a 38-39 year old man, he still put up 23 PPG, almost 6 RPG and over 5 APG. Those are stats that rival Kobe's career numbers and not only did he accomplish that in his golden age but he did it against some terrific young talent and when the league had gone to zone defenses. I wish that these kids today would do their damned homework before opening their mouths and bashing the G.O.A.T.!
How old are you? Who said that he was only one that was athletic when he played? Dennis Rodman, Charles Barkley, Daryl Griffith, Dominique Wilkins, Marques Johnson, Clyde Drexler, Shawn Kemp were just some players of his era that were just as athletic as any player of today. Basketball is a game based on skills, everyone has to be athletic to play Micheal Jordan was great because of heart, work ethic, basketball skills, and yes athletic ability.
Uncoordinated people cannot be basketball players. So all basketball players have a certain level of athletic ability. The ability to run, jump and shoot are athletic abilities. Great shooters are great athletes they are not any smarter than anybody else.
If you ever saw three great white players of the sixties and seventies: Rick Barry, John Havlicek, and Jerry West. I wonder if you would think that were great athletes?
Stuart Perry I think what +King Bee meant to say was something along the lines of physical fitness instead of athletic ability. I am not siding with anybody over the matter.
I haven't heard anybody say Jordan only thrived because of athleticism.
Stuart Perry Listen to what I said, idiot. I said that this younger generation says these things as a way to discredit MJ for his accomplishments. I'm the first to stand up and disagree with that which is why I posted my comment. You're preaching to the damned choir!
Damn!!!! I miss this era of basketball! MJ the goat!!!!
Another amazing thing about Jordan was that when his contemporaries (Drexler, Olajawon and Barkley) were fading at the end of their career, Jordan was still the best in the league. Barkley, Drexler and Olajawon were only a shadow of their former greatness in this game but MJ was still going strong.
I was just thinking that too
Great point.
And Jordan, Olajawon and Barkley are the same age.
I credit that to Jordan evolving his game. While his post game existed pre-2nd 3-peat, it wasn’t as developed and he drove to the basket more. I think 2nd 3-peat Jordan was the best post player in the game. He also took his off ball movement and mid-range jump shooting to a different level. That physically saved his body and when combined with solid fundamentals still allowed him to be the best in the league. Realistically, every full season Jordan played from ‘88-‘98, he should’ve won MVP but that would’ve been boring.
Olajuwon was not fading here! Barkley and Drexler were
this is one of my favorite MJ regular season games. He had such command of the floor that he made 40 look easy. At this stage he could take you to the hole any time but he didn't have to.
Doug Collins:
"I tell ya, I sit here & marvel at him..I had the opportunity to coach him for 3 years & to see how this man STILL plays the game, it's incredible..I don't know what else to say about the guy.."
LOL!!
I had those SAME sentiments at that time..
Simply amazing how awesome Jordan was at the age of 35. He showed he still had plenty in the tank and wasn't just a "fade-away jump shooter" like everyone in the league was saying back then. He picked his spots and when the opportunity presented itself he took it to the defense!!! Too bad we couldn't see more of his heroics as a Bull in 1999 and on!!!
It's amazing how explosive MJ still was at age 35/36. Still dunking, elevating really well on his jumpers. He aged freakishly well. I mean, he could still dunk at 50!
Arturo Luna Amen.
Dr J can still dunk too. He's like 60.
MJ's fundamentals of the game are freaking scary
Man....
His hade away jumper was pure beauty
Jordan was like a Ninja. His game was so precise and simple. No wasted time energy. Beautiful to watch.
Damn Michael is playing so smart against Olajuwon. like when he had that open drive, he knew hakeem would be there so he steps back and pulls up, just on the prediction that hakeem was gonna be there.. so smooth
Countless times, MJ had opposing teams all giddy on their bench and officials almost swallowing their whistles, literally, in awe. There'll never be another. GOAT.
Mike was so efficient... Smh... He's like 35 here lol... Before Kobe's achilles injury he had to work ultra hard for every bucket and he was like 33... Lebron is 31 and he busts his butt to score because he's not an elite isolation player... Mike scored in so many ways... And his midrange j was cash... #️⃣🐐
The commentator really detailed how fundamentally skilled jordan, how he anticipate double team, and how strong his upper body especially on how he make game looks so easy because of his shooting.
I was at this game. 8 yrs old - the one and only time I saw MJ in the flesh. The dude dropped 40 almost exclusively on JUMPSHOTs. 2 pt jumpshots. Who in the league today could even come close to doing that?
There is no debate. Forever and always the GOAT
I love the commentary when he said,
"Jordan made it so easy. Look at how easy it is" when Jordan made the step back and direct jump shot on Mario Elie.
Jordan was the master of creating space for a shot. His efficiency is crazy.
S/O to Drexler though; that fool was A1
When it comes to efficiency, George Gervin is the best at shooting guard... And he did while leading the league in scoring for 4 years. Iceman was great but Jordan is still the greatest to lace them up.
@@thinkbigengine4540 Over the same age span they were of equal efficiency. Jordan playing until 40 brought down some of his numbers. Gervin was done by 33.
"All you can do is just sit back, watch, and enjoy".
A thought.. when is the last time you have seen 8 Hall of Famers in 1 game? MJ, Pip, Rodman, and Phil vs Barkley, Drexler, Hakeem and Rudy?
Didn’t Kukic play?
@ 2:31 OMG at even at this age, MJ's first step was so deadly quick. MJ easily had the GOAT first step from any position. A lot of people don't realize that's what allowed MJ to dominate even at his old age, and also his low post game, jumper and footwork. The most complete player ever in history.
Miss those pull up jumpers. Jordan was the master of finding his spots.
how can anyone say lebron is better then jordan?? jordan even does the post interview better!!!
Alfredo Vedolla common sense because lebron is the one of the best players in the current era.
Mark Joseph one of the best doesn't mean better than MJ, because he's not
ArthurVandelay
right arthur lol
i think i watch old jordan games on youtube more then todays nba games.
u got that right!!
Who says MJ never had to compete with super teams?
Yea I hate when some people say Jordan played against weak competition.
Super and old. Too bad this didn't happen in early 90s.
Ok I hear you BUT..... Magic was old when he beat him and theses rockets are definitely old end of their careers
Jeremy Walker MJ is the same age as Barkley, Olajuwon and Drexler. Magic was 30 when MJ beat the lakers for his first Championship. MJ’s last championship ring he was 35 and was still the best during that time.
Bo Lewis facts
the greatest ever. 35 years old and was the mvp : )
The Greatest Ever!!!
legends all together, what a game !!
So smooth.. does a great job at conserving energy..
"There are some things you just can't teach"-----MJ (in a 60 Minutes int.)
thx for posting this. out of all the cool things that the internet (and youtube with it) bring one of the very best things is the fact that things like this are now archived forever.
Thanks for the upload!
Man Jordan is at the damn playground 😂😂
You know, it is amazing how Michael Jordan, who is vs the rockets against three popular basketball players, is amazing.
I am so lucky to have grown up and watching such great basketball and having MJ's games on VHS.
Thanks for post this game. It was a classic performance from MJ.
6:44 to 7:10 sums up why the older Jordan (post baseball '96-'98) is better than Kobe.
The younger Jordan 1984-1993 was a bit different (an no one can compare to this version of Jordan). But he was so good and so athletic that it didn't matter. Forget taking what the defense gave him - he just took whatever he wanted in those days. But when he got older, the fact that he was so wise and had such a polished skill-set and high basketball IQ more than made up for his loss of athleticism. He simply played a different style of game, taking what the defense gave him and dominating the league without even having to expend much energy. It's why he didn't take any bad shots, and scored easily and efficiently. The goat.
True. But then again, even though he lost athleticism, you see him pulling out athletic moves and dunks at 35 that guys do right now on their primes. That helps him out too, being a freak of the nature.
Perfectly written and 💯 truth
Retired or Injured MJ and Kobe will be my favorite basketball players
A to the MEN!
that jumper so clean his shot was what made him so tough to guard not to mention his nice little crossover and the fact that he was tall with hops he was built to be the greatest
MJ makes the game look so easy - combination of grea
t shooting , amazing footwork, incredible conditioning and genius basketball IQ. GOAT
great editing on this video (all yer videos actually...)! i love being able to hear costas, collins, and isiah comment on the game/jordan. hate it when people edit just so you see the made buckets, but then when you start to hear some insight from the commentators, it cuts off because the ball just went through the hoop. thanks man, your work is MUCH appreciated ....
Today's NBA is nothing compared to this
Nostalgia is a helluva drug lol
+Secondbest9966 I love MJ as much as the next guy, but there are some great players today. Can't look back and live in the past man. Kobe, Lebron, Steph, Kawhi, Westbrook, etc....are extremely gifted players. MJ was the GOAT, no doubt, but Kobe's right there with him. Steph is insane and the league has never seen anyone like him. Kawhi has some-what patterned his game after MJ--albeit, he'll never be MJ, cause the Spurs are not the Bulls and there's only 1 MJ. I hate Demarcus Cousins.
+pingKING94 you're being a prisoner of the moment lol
MrCalidan69 At age 36 no one is close to MJ's level except Kareem, Kobe's last three seasons was bad to watch sometimes
Basura de nba se juega ahora
Good writeup on the game. Thanks!!! You're one of the best on youtube.
MJ Perfecting his craft!! He's just too dam good
This is another reason MJ23 is a better player. What he does when he doesn't have the basketball and how he navigates to find his spot on the court is unparalleled.
That was what was so damn scary man, it didn't even look like the dude was breaking a sweat from what I can tell. I seen this game when it originally aired back in '98 on NBC, and like so many games in his career 'MJ' made it look so effortlessy and easy at times. I've seen plenty of explosive scorers in my time, but I've never seen a player who scored as easily or effortlessly as 'MJ' did. The cat just made it look so damn easy, i'm sure it wasn't but it sure looked that way.
This old-man YMCA ball is 10x better than the crap in the NBA today.
35 years old still looking that quick, strong and agile... especially compared to Hakeem, Chuck and Drexler, guys that came in the league basically at the same time as him. It's a testament to his athleticism and longevity that he still looked that good on the court when those other greats were breaking down around him. Goat sh*t.
Thanks. Yeah, I should have that game up sometime. I never thought about the first NBA game being against Washington. Kinda eerie like all the other bizarre factoids associated with MJ - like 23 being the points he scored in his first playoff game and 45 in his last. I sometimes copy my games for people but only if I have time.
this makes me think....maybe he really could've won 8 straight
The season after he retired the Bulls went 55-27 in 1993-1994, and made it to the Eastern Conference Semi-finals where they lost to the Knicks in 7 games. The Knicks went to the Finals. Just think what the Bulls accomplish with MJ on that team in his prime? Easily 60+ wins and yes another title or two for possibly 8 in a row. GOAT
That's incredible. Thanks so much. Being an Aussie, I couldn't see games like this back in the day. Now, with NBA League Pass, I can see all. I already had the ultimate appreciation for MJ but clips like this only add to that.
I was at that game! I'm a huge Rockets fan, but I'm an MJ fan, too -- so I'm really glad I was there. Thanks for posting the clips!
5:34.....had that been todays nba, the player wouldve cried and flopped like a dummy being thrown from a bridge..But, jordan just smiles.
+Dennis Johnston (NotHimAgain) so true...that's why i don't watch it anymore
Dennis Johnston Jordan cried to the ref even though Hakeem’s block was clean
rafikz77 easy block for Hakeem, as long as Kevin Johnson holds Jordan down by the forearm.
Now if you were actually alive to hear that quote live, you'd have heard PJ say MJ was the greatest ever in the next sentence so idiots wouldn't take that silliness out of context. Now, PJ also said he was only comparing playmaker roles since he's never asked MJ to be a playmaker. This is because he didn't want to disparage KB during the playoffs when he wanted to boost his confidence. (Cont)
"he has something for everybody.the officials , the players"
Bob Costas
What a sight. Look at all the legends in that game. MJ, Pippen, Hakeem, Barkley and Clyde.
I feel like I'm watching a video game!!!!
Yeah, in the beginning, I was also going to post videos of Wilt, Russell and other old veterans but the MJ stuff just took off.
He makes it look so easy. Watching this video as a basketball player makes you want to go on the court and pull those same mid range jumpers. This guy is a true master of his craft.
Wow each time I keep seein MJ The Greatest of all time make shots on point like that I jus laugh.
UN-BE-LIEVABLE!!!
Really still wish this was the Finals for 1998. The Jazz had a shot in 1997 and only did the same with a 2nd shot in 1998, losing 4-2 again. A Rockets/Bulls series would've been a battle of the two primary championship teams of the 1990s. Plus, Drexler and Barkley getting a shot at vengeance for 1992 and 1993 respectively. The Bulls would've ultimately won, but it would've been extremely entertaining to watch.
Trust me, The Rockets rarely played this well together.
No way anyone will ever be better. Mj was and is the greatest to play basket ball time will prove it. Its 2013 and no one close yet,
EVER HEARD OF WILT KAREEM OR RUSSEL . JUST CURIOUS . MAYBE YOU FORGOT THOSE NAMES
ryanr20091 In what way do you think any of these are better then mj? Points no way Kareem played way more years. Defense, again no freakin way. Wilt and Bill played when there wasn't that many teams and most of the players were much shorter and less skilled. If mj played during that time he would no doubt have every single record!!
Keith Glass no, he's not even a better scorer than kareem . that's suppose to be Jordan strength . he definitely cant fuck with wilt
ryanr20091 All I see you doing on this video is hating on Jordan. Wilt wouldn't score 30 points a game if he played against Kareem (For his entire career) Hakeem Robinson Ewing Shaq Mutombo or Mourning. Wilt couldn't do shit against an undersized Bill Russell, you really think he could fuck with any of those legitimate 7 footers? Come on stop the damn hating. Wilt had monster numbers because the lack of teams in the era and the players weren't as skilled. Use some damn logic man. You want to hate on MJ ok? at least come up with a stronger argument. There's a reason nobody has scored 50 points in a season. It's because teams got better and players got more skilled. There's also a reason nobody has averaged a triple double and avg 30 pts either. You'll never see those things again. But guess what you dumbass? Jordan has the highest average of all time in the modern era @ 37.1 PPG and he also had a 32.5 PPG 8 Reb 8 Ast average for an entire season. I'd take those two years over Wilt's or Robertson's. MJ did it in the golden age of the NBA. Not in the early stages of the NBA with 8 or 9 teams lack of skill and lack of size. Also Kareem and Wilt just couldn't win while scoring a lot. Kareem only won 1 time as a scoring leader. Wilt had to drop his scoring by nearly 10 points to win a title. Jordan won a scoring title every season he won a championship. Need I say more?
It comes down to this mj was just the ultimate of many factors. He was the ultimate athlete look it up 48 inch vertical leap. He was the ultimate competitor, he would get mad if he lost a game of cards. He worked harder than anyone else, in his college days he would put more time in than anyone. How rare is that? That is why he is the best and no matter who you put him against it wont be a challenge.
It's been 6 months since you enlightened me on the art of mid-range shooting. Ever since then, you're words have been spinning in my head everytime I play the game. And they have given me quite some good looks. In a way this whole message is just a big thank-you (no homo).
I used to watch Jordan when I was a little kid and imitate his moves in my driveway.
this was more like an all star game
Jordan 100x better than kobe, LeBron, and any others and future others probably
Remember that Kobe Bryant copied every Jordan move so I think that if Jordan ever existed we probably never see Kobe Bryant because Kobe Bryant is an imitation of Michael Jordan
@@poligonzo5300 LMFAO Kobe Bryant would be playing regardless
@Vegas Mitchell buahahahahahaha did you see how ugly drjay used to play if Michael Jordan imitated dr.jay Michael never accomplished anything in his career dr. J never had the accolades that mr. Jordan have, Michael Jordan set up the standard of how great a basketball player should be dr. J never set up that bar for anyone because dr. J never played defense dr. Jay was not a prolific scorer and didn't have Michael Jordan competitiveness Michael Jordan went above-normal like no one ever have done it before I think dr. J really didn't have that competitiveness
@@poligonzo5300 exactly but you can deny it was SOMETHING different about Kobe like he's 97 percent Jordan but that 3 percent was something else
@@highmeadows2030 he will but never like Mike 😉
Thanks Hoops. I like the rhythm you used with the editing also. Adding some tricks to your game just like Jordan. :)
nice game! Nice to see 5 Hall of Famers on the court. Thanks for posting
It's funny how Isaiah Thomas announce a lot of Michael Jordan games lol 😂😂 😂
Jordan man you just beat an all star team and you said it like was a breeze to win
This is great! I miss these days.
thanks for the video
Jordan's movement very smooth le bron movement is herky jerkey
Aaaaaand this is what would happen if Jordan met the Rockets and Hakeem in the Finals.
***** Oh, true I guess lol. People always think Hakeem and the rockets could beat up on Jordan and the bulls though, that's why I said what I did.
***** Pippen took the Lakers to 7 by himself?!? That Portland team was fucking deep, so deep that there was a "Too deep vs. Two deep" article previewing it, pretty much stating the Lakers chances depended on their 2 stars while Portland had more weapons.
Chris M An to this very day, I still cannot believe Portland let that lead in the 4th slip away. I'll never forget that squad. Rasheed Wallace, Damon Stoudemire, Sabonis, Pippen, Steve Smith, Brian Grant, Greg Anthony, Bonzi Wells, Detlef Shrempf, Stacy Augmon....Poor Jermaine O'neil couldn't even get on the court that teams front line was so loaded lol! To this day, the best collection of players(talent/depth wise) on a team I have ever seen play that Didn't win! Damn Shaq an young punk ass Kobe lol
People forget the Jazz swept the Bulls during the regular season in 1998. Also they swept a really good Lakers team in the WCF, while Jordan got pushed to the limits by the Pacers. The result? The Bulls took care of the Jazz in the Finals.
+darkvanilla187 your so nuts regular and final are totally different.
Can't believe this was posted 16 years ago! Here in 2024!! MJ23 still GOAT!
School was in session this game. He went into his bag! But with fundamentals! Against 3 HOFers too lol MJ’s game was so NICE. Beautiful to watch.
MJ was toying with the Houston Rockets. This is one of the many reasons that he is G.O.A.T! His finesse, power, mental toughness, grace, dominance. No disrespect to the 2-time champion Rockets, but if Jordan didn't leave. The Bulls would have won 8 titles in a row. The Dream is great, but they didn't play against MJ's Bulls for the title. That is a fact.
Isiah went through MJ 3 years straight, so don't gimme that "avoided" Mike nonsense. It ain't Houston's fault Mike face planted at midcourt vs Orlando in 95 and blew game 6 at home in Chicago to lose the series.....the same team they swept in the Finals.
AidenPearce huh?
AidenPearce the point in mentioning Isiah is that his teams still won 3 straight series vs Jordan's Bulls, not that "he" won them series. Didn't MJ play full seasons these years if that's the excuse used for Chicago for them losing in 95? What about Grant killing Chicago in the 95 playoffs? Did rust have anything to do with that? What about the fact that Shaq was a better Center than Ewing who his teams barely got by even before he quit, or that Penny was light years better than Starks?
Inferior team MJ played on?
Didnt Hakeem play on a inferior team to the defending champion heavily favored 1986 Lakers going in the road in only his 2nd year?
FuShengAlex don't matter because when saw what happened when he played the full season and faced Orlando again the Bulls swept them far as the Pistons the Bulls should've beaten them in game 7 when Pippin had that migraine and wasn't up to par I think that's the only reason they lost the other 2 season other than MJ the Bulls weren't ready Pippin and Grant hadn't developed yet they were rookies and 2nd players when they played them in 88 and 89
charlie davis "what happened" was Rodman arrived and Grant who killed Chicago the year before got injured. Full season my a°°, MJ in the previous rd before Orlando in 95 averaged vs Charlotte 33ppg/7rpg & 49% FG from the floor which included a personal career series high 47%. 3pt FG %.
There isn't any proof a migraine would've made the difference in 90....they were routed in game 7 vs Detroit and it was largely uncompetitive. "Full season MJ" wasn't enough then either. Houston in 86 with Hakeem (and Ralph) blew champions LA out the building with a team of drug junkies, and you guys cling to a "migraine"?
This is REAL basketball game. Not the weak shit we have today.
ARPRT im 27 and i remember mike on the DOWNSIDE of his career.and i can tell you that he is the best i ever saw.
Love this Houston flooring
this just shows how great Jordan and bulls were... otherwise theres no reason on earth why anyone could have beaten a combo of dream, barkely and Drexler..wow
ALL OF THEM WERE NOT THE SAME MAN . THIS WAS NOT THE 94 ROCKETS
ryanr20091 The Bulls would've won the 94 finals against Houston. MJ was just a different beast in the playoffs and rose his game to new levels. Don't give me that crap about the Rockets had regular season success against the bulls because that doesn't mean shit. The Jazz won 3 of the 4 regular season games against the bulls in the 2 seasons they met in the finals but we know who won both series. Now with the Bulls beating Houston in 94, I highly doubt they get back to the finals in 95 because they were a 6 seed to begin with.
basketball comes down to matchups . the rockets had the best center in the world and back then that's how you won titles . who was going to check hakeem for an entire series. you saw what he did to david robinson , so just imagine what he would do the bulls haaaa. that shit would be homicidal . hakeem was the bulls kryptonite. This is why the bulls never had success against us.
Rick Steck Great point! I never even thought about that.
Also another crappy center they lost to was Ervin Johnson on Seattle.
Rick Steck lol I guess by your silly logic Jordan was swept by Danny Ainge in 1986 and 1987.
7:00 A.I. approaching a triple double :)
Spot on.. you can always tell with these kids that only seen the game in 00's
Hoops, what can I say? You've excelled yet again! In my opinion, you are one of the greatest sports UA-camrs (if that's the correct term?) of all time - giving great "commentaries" as well as great edits of MJ games - what more can we ask for?
Mike and Scottie could have won at least 2 more...Thanks a lot "Crumbs" Krause 😒
I agree. That will forever be the most baffling thing in sports. How an owner could let arguably the greatest team in history, with the inarguably the greatest player in history, retire while they were still dominating and wanting to compete, is mind blowing.
Krause deserved to be tarred and feathered and dragged through the streets of Chicago for that.
They could have won 4 more, the 2 years Jordan was away and 2 more years when he retired in 1999 and 2000 and maybe 2001. If Pippen wasn't let go.
3 sll time greats on one team still couldnt stop him....need i say more?
they all were older
benny john and mike already beat them in all of their younger days...Charles had a go at him and I believe clyde had his chance as well...Didn't get that bulls vs rockets though.
Rio Rogers For all the people who want to think that Lebron is greater than MJ, they need to look at this video. I've never seen Lebron play as effortlessly as MJ did in this video. MJ's fundamentals are superb, whereas Lebron is just now learning about footwork in the post. If Lebron had game like this he would truly be the GOAT however he doesn't. At 6-8, 270 pounds, Lebron has the physical capability to be GOAT only time will tell.
benny john ignorance
Anderson A. Lol nothing but ignorance
This is the master of the game displaying his mastery of the game. And it's awesome to watch.
Wow I miss all the good ol days of veteran players in the NBA...Jordan so much fun to watch
This is something that KB cannot or does not choose to do. To use his wisdom in the game and just score easily. It hurts to see KB at his age now still having to try too hard on shots. He could have had better shots! (Given the right coach and system, of course)
Hope he realizes this and shows improvement in the shot selection.
it is very late for this to happen i must say. but keep dreaming
lol was Jordan even trying?
man, jordan is doing this at 35 years of age he is thee greatest
Great post, it's amazing that 5 of the "50 greatest players of all time" where on the court at the same time.
As a Rockets fan though, Barkley and Pippen never fit in to the system...
The Rockets were the super group before the Heat. Clyde, Barkley and Hakeem?
It was at the end of there careers
The Rockets tho older should of been better this year, you cant blame age, This year was great alot of great veteran teams ,the Bulls were old (Jordan 35 Pippen 33, and Rodman was 37!) Also the eventual Western Conference Champs Utah Jazz were old as well (Malone 35 Stockton 36)
so easy...
I definitely remember being 10 years old watching this game on a Sunday afternoon! With my black Jordan jersey I'd just gotten for Christmas! All the while not knowing my favorite team would be breaking up in a couple of months.........
Michael the best of all time, was a machine playing basketball
