@@jujubeanz009 in the same universe where he saves his backrow removal for snatch steal doesn't play all his big monsters in a deck he knows is filled with cards that steal them and smaller monsters and idk just sets more monsters for some defenses against monster theft? Im not expecting him to be a super sweaty pro. He just makes some bad or risky plays quite often. More than half his duels in this series have been won by lucky draws or unlucky draws on Rhymes part. Which tbf is a lot of how old yugioh works. But I still feel like he puts himself in bad spots often. I can't remember how this duel all went though so its completely possible he also had a really shitty hand or matchup I just remember one or two of his plays seeming unnecessarily. Love him to death but he either doesn't use cards at the right times or to early when they have little value. This comments also meant to apply to other duels not just this one.
@@jujubeanz009 As the other guy already said, plenty. Just look at the 2nd duel alone. 15 min mark. Brain control costs 800 LP to use. Had he used Pheonix CORRECTLY and dumped the pet into the grave then reborned it, he would have 2 harpies to attack with along with a boosted up pet. He would still have his equip which is an extra 500 damage leaving his harpies to do 4.1kk damage leaving him at 2.3k. Unfortunately for rhyme, while pet is a pretty trash card it was have been strong enough to end the duel at 2.6k damage. The duel LITERALLY ended right there and all it would have taken was some foresight to see that his opponent doesn't HAVE any strong defensive monsters in his deck and even if he did he could still attack with the 1800 harpy as he has an extra 300 AD to spare to end the game with the other 1500 ATK monster. There is no way at that point that rhyme should have won that game but Doto 100% misplayed. I don't mind watching Doto's duels because his luck is hilarious, but in terms of skill he's definitely lacking and they all know it too. These duels are just for fun.
Not only that but he started by setting two monsters rather than immediately swinging on Rhyme while his field was empty. It was a total throw to play defensively against that deck which he should have realized by the 2nd duel.

Harpies 1800 ATK each, face down is obviously some low def card but you can still ATK with a harpies anyway. Equip is a bonus 500 ATK. 2 Harpies on field boost pets ATK to 2600. Last time I checked, 2300+1500+2600 = 6.4k exactly so yes, Doto threw and he threw hard af.
This has been my absolute favorite Series. The plays yall have been able to do is absolutely hilarious and I love how this brings me back to old days when I used to mess around with my friends with just really gimmicky decks. Thank you both for doing this series and just having fun with it.
Doto lost 4 cards to swords of revealing lights, plus he straight up ignored all those change of hearts while looking at rhyme's hand with amazoness card

Mai's deck would've had a chance against Marik, but Espa Roba doesn't really use traps and has normal spells for the most part, made worse by turning the board around whenever as none of Mai's monsters are special summonable to at least avoid Brain control.
Its crazy how long Doto be holding his spell and trap removal. Every episode he holds his MST or Duster for SO long to a point when he cant get any value out of it. Doto draws great and plays meh but his heart be in the right place so its fine
His deck does feel like one of the strongest as even not having the strongest monsters, change of heart and brain control prevents the opponent from building monsters

@nameynamd9212 Honestly, Marik is a tough nut to crack, but Doto does have options. Arkana has DMA for backrow removal, and Bakura straight up punishes decks that take too long to set up like Marik's.
Hear me out Doto Ik it’s easy to criticize but hear me out: Go bac to 14:42 After playing “Phoenix Wing..” let’s drop “Pet Dragon” then use “Monster Reborn” on “Pet Dragon” & then summon “Cyber Harpie..” Pause* “Pet Dragon” effect gives him 300 for each Harpie Lady which you have 2 on the Field. Now u should still have “Cyber Shield“ in hand so equip it to any Harpie to gain 500 attack. So the board should be Harpie 2300, Harpie 1800, Amazoness 1500, Pet Dragon 2600! DOTO YOU HAVE GAME JUST BREATHE!!
There were misplays, but with the abundance of monster stealing, it really didn't matter(with the reliance on spells, it really feels like Arkana and another Espa Roba are the only chance against it, even causing major problems for Marik as much as he's being hyped).
I'm surprised Master Duel hasn't implemented a "Auto-Select" feature for the coin toss for players to skip the coin toss for a little "surprise" when you draw your hand. Love the content boys! Keep 'em coming!

Doto repeating his puns after they were ignored 😭😭😭 I really enjoy this series, Rhyme and Doto both make me really me want to play the game again and just troll with friends. I was hurt so bad when I saw doto's draw at 15:14. HE WOULD HAVE HAD THE MATH Even if Rhyme still got Jinzo on board, he would've crashed the two harpies with Brain Control. Doto would still have Chain Master on board to take out Jinzo. Sure, hind sight, BUT STILL.

Crazy thing is if doto played that right, he had game. 2 cyber harpy ladies, one equipped with the armor, chain master and pet dragon. Doto should already know that no monster rhyme has set could be more the 1500 def cause he played the deck already. That was 6400+ damage with the boost pet dragon gets... (99% sure that's how pet dragon's effect works) But if doto couldn't get game that turn it was gg. Rhyme would have just made it so raigeki would be his top card and wiped his entire board next turn, after stealing a monster for jinzo.
I just find it ironic that rhyme lost Mai by being bricked up with elegant egotist, and doto lost because he had no elegant egotist to flood the board with his harpies
if i remember correctly, at least in the manga, Mai implied that every card was laced with it's own perfume, meaning each different card had a specific perfume smell, which is why she could predict what card she drew. Is it realistic? Maybe not, but who knows.

The real issue is that each individual perfume sprayed on each individual card would merge with one another and become a unified (aromatic) mess (especially since cards a rubbed aginst one another in the deck, plus when shuffling as well, meaning the perfume from one card would rub off on another, etc). It just wouldn't work, but hey...anime logic.
