Tbf, Bakura DID use dark sanctuary against Yugi in the battle city finals. The issue is that the real world version was hella buffed to make it more playable.

Also, he came pretty close to defeating Marik. Then again, Joey did too so maybe Marik is just a jobber. Tl;dr Bakura has alot of wins, but alot of them are off-screen or not normal duels (like shadow games).
