    I excluded Roman's Score for these chairs from the videos to keep it shorter, but if you are curious, here it is:
    Alienware S5000 / Vertageat SL5000
    Ease of Use = 3/10 - due to cleaning, messed up assembly, cheap parts, and tough control lever, and that lumbar support.. ugh..
    Task Performance = 8/10 - ok armrests, ok recline angle, bad wheels, good comfort for skinny people
    Build Quality = 4/10 - the gas lift started to deflate during the video process...
    TOTAL: 5
    Noblechairs: Hero
    Ease of Use = 9/10 - good PU leather, a lot of space on the chair.
    Task Performance = 5/10 - you need to be a giant to sit in it, too hard, lumbar barely there, no pillow, small recline angle, horrible hard armrests.
    Build Quality = 6/10 - arrived damaged, cheap armrests for this price.
    TOTAL: 6.7
    SecretLab: Titan
    Ease of Use = 8/10 - wheels need improvement, pillow keeps slipping away
    Task Performance = 8/10 - on the harder side, yet too thin cushions at the edge of the base, cuts off blood flow.
    Build Quality = 8/10 - needs better wheels, squeaks, pay more attention to details (lumbar knob cover), needs a better pillow.
    TOTAL: 8
    CybeArt: Apex
    Ease of Use = 10/10 - great recline, great OEM parts like on other chairs, easy to clean
    Task Performance = 7/10 - great grip around the body, seat base may appear too short for people over 6.5ft tall, feels shaky when fully raised, recline angle is too deep may lead to injuries by fall.
    Build Quality = 7/10 - the lumbar knob plastic shows internal pins, squeaks, feels shaky when fully raised
    TOTAL: 8

    Great review of comparing different brands. I think Cybeart is on the right path. If they keep there price competitive compared to the others and all while keep that quality. They can be on a serious contender for the top spot. That being said, there new model Lord of the Rings is one sweet design.

    • @RomanDoes
      @RomanDoes  Рік тому +1

      Cannot disagree! Cybeart is definitely on the right path, their main obstacle is their size and financial capabilities, but in a few years once they are fully available in all major markets, they will own some decent marketshare

    I think it all comes down to preference. I had a Secretlab titan chair but it did not please me as I expected, the materials were not premium and the colors were not as cool as I saw in the pictures online. Then I sold it and got the alienware s5000 and since then I am much more pleased, the alienware is a bit expensive but the design is much cooler and the material is indeed premium.

    • @RomanDoes
      @RomanDoes  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, you are right about personal preferences. However, Vertagear has cheaper materials and lower quality craftmanship. I doubt they improved in 1 year.

  • @cammava

    in the uk the noblechairs is the cheapest option afaik. its £350 compared to £500 for the secretlabs. at that price difference which of the 2 would you pick?

    • @RomanDoes
      @RomanDoes  3 місяці тому +1

      That's a good point! I'd say Noblechair is not worse than SecretLab. So I'd go with cheaper option, they are made of the same parts anyways and though it has smaller wheels, you can upgrade them yourself anytime in the future at low cost.

    • @cammava
      @cammava 2 місяці тому +1

      @@ImlegaliSwear there are definitely some drawbacks compared to the others, BUT they don't really justify paying double the price for the other chairs tbh. At the tube of recording the noblechairs was the most expensive, now it's the cheapest. I did get the noblechairs hero st in fabric and it's great. No issues. There are some small things that the modern secretlabs have that set the chairs apart, but when the chair is less than half the price, those small differences are not at all worth the money imho.

      Small channels get less attention 😃
      But fine, we are getting there step by step.
      Price in North America for things like this is always high as it's considered to be a luxury item. I find that back in Europe there are more brands to choose from and that's why prices are lower.

    I bought all Alienware gear to include the chair. Chair is decent but the lower back pillow needs to be a little stiffer because it provides very little support. Its too squishy and constantly needs raising on my lower back. so the support pillows aren't the best. The plastic holes in the chair back....I have to ask why? Why did they think that was a good idea? Those holes provide no use to the chair. None! Maybe looks cool??? The pillow doesn't use it so Im lost why they would ruin a chair putting those on there. The head pillow is ok I use it when my neck is tired and i want to lean back.

    Nice video. I noticed in last 2 vids of desk and chair you tend to provide a lot of details. I got 2 chairs from Cybeart - Batman and Wonder woman and I am pretty happy with it. In the market for 2 nice desks now lol. Any suggestions?

    • @RomanDoes
      @RomanDoes  3 роки тому +2

      I am all about DIY where possible, so with the desk, I would do it myself with good heavy top from Ikea and sit/stand desk with memory setting from one of the good brands. If you live in Canada, there is a company called Prime Cables, and they do really good frames. I have of these since 2017, well priced and reliable. Overall quality is great.
      I also realized that all these sit/stand desk companies like Autonomous AI, are all doing same gig like the chairs companies, they buy parts from the same manufacturer and just put their logo on it with some minor differences. 🤷‍♂️
      So yeah, for the desk, do Ikea man, its best dollar/value ratio, specially if you buy their more premium parts

    Seems we are at the various brands mercy, asking for arm rests thay do not hurt your arms, or seats that have been tested properly which still have wrong stiffness cusion in the wrong places....
    So just pick the best of the worst basically lol 👍

      No complaints of back support or any "ergonomic" stuff, just learn how to stand straight 😅
      Joking but yes, I'm still looking at what chair to buy! Asus netted one is nice, but has 1 year warranty hmmmmmmm
      Noble is nice, but arm rests are solid and they only just releasing a flat cushion for the base which is extra and a pretty no brained (how did they not release with it?, rush the sales revenue that's how...).
      Secret labs are a hype train.
      Herman Miller exist to extort big companies selling them a dream of employees being "looked after" as they sit 8 to 10 hours a day.
      And here we are!!! 😅
      I'll probably go for the noble, but dream about a perfect chair!
      Is there actually a perfect chair like wtf??? 🫢

    • @RomanDoes
      @RomanDoes  9 місяців тому +1

      @augustusmaximus891 honestly, I'm using one of the higher end ikea office chairs and it provides better support than any of those 4 we looked at, just no fancy graphics. Noble is practically the same as Secret Lab in terms of parts, so when choosing between two it's all about graphics at this point.

      Alienware has very narrow base, but! this is not why I would avoid it. Main reason is the quality and you are overpaying for branding. I am 6.3, 220 pounds. Not too overweight, but have a few extra pounds here and there. I could fit into Alienware, it was tight, but comfy, like a sport car seat. However, it just falls apart and materials are on the cheap side compared to the other brands in the video. Noblechair was too wide though, so I would choose one between Cybeart and SecretLab. I have not tried SL's new line of chairs, they made some improvements, and look neat. Just bear in mind, if you have to return any of these chairs except for Dell, you have to pay the return shipping, and it's not cheap.
