It warms my heart to see that my people have been kind to you. We tend to get a bad rap at times, but deep down the people are kind and caring . Continue safe travels mi amigo! Om yo!
Your videos are amazing. I’ve watched 100’s of bikepacking videos, and yours are some of the best I’ve seen. I’ve bikepacked parts of the GDMBR and the route you took in Oregon, the Oregon Outback, as well as I rode across the US in 2022. You are living my next bucket list ride, and I greatly appreciate your documentation of your trip. Your photography is both amazing and inspiring. Thank you! 🙏 As another “famous” bikepacking videographer says, “No Flatties, No Whammie and no more Crashies”
I love the absolute happiness that you radiate, it is very contagious, congratulations for that and for the quality of your videos, I hope the knee has already healed!! Enjoy the trip and don't stop showing it to us, thank you very much for that!
Great video. Could see the fall coming as I watched the video. Glad you're ok though. The first fall in around 5000 miles of cycling is impressive. Stay safe.👍
Go, Dan, go! And thank you so much for taking us with you! About the bees- no nest, just little blossoms in the tree. When I lived in Todos Santos down there, the mango trees hummed when they bloomed, so full of wonderful pollinating bees they were! Ryan Van Duzer did some Baja Divide videos. At first he railed against the sand, etc…, but later learned to surrender to Baja’s slow pace and just enjoy. Hey, if your guts are upset in a sort of food poisoning way, get a papaya, slice it in half, dig out a spoonful of its seems and swallow them whole with water. Local wisdom was they they killed whatever organism ailed you. Worked for me friends and me. Also, be sure to carry electrolytes (available at any pharmacy down there) because they help with abdominal cramping too. Don’t forget to enjoy the papaya after you swallow some seeds! Yum! Slice a banana into the space where the seeds were after you scoop out the tea of the seeds, and then sprinkle crushed macadamia nuts over it all (if you can find any). Divine I tell you!
Dan, great to see your videos. You are doing great, keep it up. I can see that you are truly enjoying your journey. And I am glad you are encountering great nice people. Be safe!
С большим удовольствием я посмотрел твой фильм. Природа в фильме очень сильно отличается от того где я живу. Мне было интересно. Удачи тебе! Больше интересных дорог и меньше падений ! )))
Brilliant video again Dan. Again very positive no matter what you encouter. You make one wish they had the courage to do what you do. Keep safe and keep enjoying. Look forward to the next one
Several weeks ago now, I spotted you on Highway 1, Dan, near Santa Cruz, CA. It was shortly after stumbling upon your channel. Sighting you randomly was a hoot. You do great work, lad.
Just loving your videos! Your positivity speaks volumes - I’ve unsubscribed from some channels where whining and complaining were more important than the journey. Safe travels - can’t wait to see the next video!
You're so optimistic Dan! Even after a crash and a hard day, you seem to have this way of always looking on the bright side. Really enjoy your videos mate. Following along from Australia. Cheers
Nice trip Dan, it would be amazing that you show on video how you interact with humans, is nice to see the landscapes and how you hit the road, but also meet the locals and what they think about you and your adventure.
The photo, the sunsets, those tacos(not the bad one) the music. This episode was beautiful and peaceful. Until the crash. Ouch. I know that feeling. Take care of yourself! Keep bringing the best trip on youtube!
I surely do enjoy your videos, going through them episode by episode. Would like to do some bikepacking. Did ride across my state with a friend and 4 horses, 2 for pack and 2 to ride. Have always love the wild and the feeling of civilization after spending time in wild. Amazing. Enjoy, take care.
Kudos, Dan, for braving those rough tracks and getting through with only a couple of scrapes. It no doubt helps that the beautiful country and friendly, generous people help you get through the rough days as well! Keep pushing on, man!
Another great video Dan. I love your positive attitude throughout. And Baja looks incredible. I've been to Mexico a couple of times and likewise have always found the people to be so friendly. Derek in Ottawa.
Good morning from Lake Tahoe Dan! I hope you're doing well and enjoying your day. It was really nice chatting with you on the Tahoe Rim Trail a few months back after your night spent at "The Bench" overlooking the lake. My Border Collie pup Ollie and I were on our way up to the bench as you were on your way down. Grateful to have met you and thank you so much for sharing your amazing adventures with us all. Ollie, my wife and I are always excited to see where you are and what kind of fun you're having. Have a blessed day and thanks again Dan 🍻🌮🌮
Dan, we so much enjoy watching your show. Thank goodness you didn’t get hurt during your crash. We absolutely love your content and your positive attitude. Keep going and please be safe. You’re a beast!
Must I look forward to you on the road video reports. It is easy to see you do a lot of extra riding with all the self video, and it does make it more interesting! Really like your music choices, not so hard on the ears. Keep that great attitude, safe travels, Tom
There’s not much I can add to these comments but to let you know how much I appreciate your video efforts and I’ll be looking forward to seeing the next episode. Thanks Dan! Have a safe journey.
We have been enjoying every one of your episodes. Both learning about and seeing your journey has been inspirational. You obviously have a knack for capturing the videos but also know how to select the right scenes and arrange each episode. The Baja looks majestic however quite challenging to ride. When you had your fall you mentioned that it could have been quite serious particularly as you were on your own. I very briefly thought - no you're not on your own as I was right there! Well done. We are looking forward to you next episode and ride safe. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Just finished reading Thunder and Sunshine by Alastair Humphries (around the world by bike) and quite sad it’s finished ….. And then up popped your new video!! 😊 …. Soooo happy now! Love watching your journey Dan ….Thanks for the smiles and miles 🙌🏼
Dear Dan, thank you for sharing your voyage. Your always positive attitude, openness, and friendly personality is really inspiring. I’m doing a lot of bike touring myself, but mainly in Europe. Keep up the great good work. Best, Raoul
You're creating a fabulous series Dan and your unwavering positivity is an inspiration. I felt your pain when you tumbled. Great to see your subs steadily rising. People are appreciating zhe effort it takes to do what you're doing.
I want to appreciate the longer video and increased use of POV on the trails, please do more of that. I'm a bike rider and that gives me a lot better feel for what the different trails are like. I also know video editing is a lot of work so thanks for doing that.
Your dedication to the shots is INCREDIBLE!! 2 miles away up a hill…just to come back to get the camera and do it again. I admire your work. Cheers from Canada!!
I soooooo enjoy your videos, Dan! I’ve never been to that part of Baja and I can’t wait to go. You always have the most amazingly wonderful attitude and it’s so inspiring. Keep on doing what you love! I hope you have a great time and see you next time!!
Thanks. Another fantastic video! Nice to see the hospitality you received. If you hit the pedals hard, you might catch up with Greg and Victoria 😅 I also watch all the ads on your videos. Not sure if your channel is monetized though. UA-cam got quite annoying lately with lots of unskippable ads. If it weren’t for outstanding film makers like yourself, I would abandon the place.
Another fantastic video Dan. Love the cinematography. It looked very isolated. You were lucky 🍀 with the crash. So looking forward to the next video. 🚴🚴🇮🇪
Keep pedaling! I laughed out loud when you said you were camping next to all sorts of weird vegetation, camera scene shows a huge cactus hahahhaa. This is exactly how I feel when I visit Arizona and see all the southern vegetation creeping up from the hotter areas. Thanks for sharing your adventure, I hope you find a new back tire! That fall didn't look fun but it went well as far as crashes go
This series is such a treat to look at. You are courageous and have a lot of talent to provide quality video with a really good mixt of comment and image. Keep it up and hope you stay fit without injuring yourself. I cant wait to see the following episode. Deep down I feel and know that you have what it takes to achieve your goal.
It warms my heart to see that my people have been kind to you. We tend to get a bad rap at times, but deep down the people are kind and caring . Continue safe travels mi amigo! Om yo!
Thank you, Dan, for allowing me to live vicariously through you. May God keep and protect you. Well done, darling.

Thank you so much!! You've gotta go do the baja divide it's unbelievable!
Keep going Dan! You're taking the trip I always wanted to (and still might one day). You're a model of optimism and determination.
Thank you!!
I love that the last line of this video is “hard-earned tacos”
Fantastic videos Dan! Thanks for bringing us viewers along your ride
Thanks :)
Absolutely nailed the music as you picked your way through the technical section, before your fall!!!!
I love the absolute happiness that you radiate, it is very contagious, congratulations for that and for the quality of your videos, I hope the knee has already healed!! Enjoy the trip and don't stop showing it to us, thank you very much for that!
Thank you so much!!
31:54 - was that you drinking tap water? That's brave. Great trek, Dan. Really enjoying the regular updates and your positivity.
It was at a ranch and they told me it was safe! Must've been connected to a natural spring up there somewhere!
Brilliant. Cheers Dan. Looking forward to part two. Have fun and stay safe.
Fantastic viewing. The best thing about watching is that I have flights booked for BD in November. Can’t wait
It's always a wonderful surprise to see your monthly posts. Glad you survived the fall without any serious damage. Hang in there and stay safe! ♥
Will do!
I was just thinking about the conditions of your tires after such a long way right before you crashed. Glad it wasn't a major crash.
Great video. Could see the fall coming as I watched the video. Glad you're ok though. The first fall in around 5000 miles of cycling is impressive. Stay safe.👍
