Why all are measured in diastole even the annulus and why all are measured free edge to free edge not leading edge to leading edge for the above the annulus structures? Could you please put a link or reference for the new guidelines you mentioned? Many thanks
I follow the British society of Echocardiography guidelines and all echo labs are different... www.bsecho.org/ here is the link to the society website! Here we use inner edge to inner edge and the diameter doesn't change much in systole and diastole for the aortic measuments so you can measure it where you can see it better
We must measure aortic annulus diameter in MİD-SYSTOLE, other measurements are true. Additionally, measurements must be leading edge to leading edge… thanks for your share
Every country has different guidelines, here in the UK we work inner edge to inner edge... Just use this videos as informative and follow your country guidelines
Hello, every guideline is different... always check and follow your country guidelines because they differ in various things. Here in the UK we use inner edge to inner edge.
Hello, that's according to the ASE... I live in the UK and work under BSE guidelines where we measure inner edge to inner edge. Always follow your guidelines and now you know every country has their own guidelines to follow.
@@the_echo_ladyBut since we are all the same human being everywhere, the measurements too should also be the same and not vary in these parameters isn't it?

Annulus: inner to inner, the rest is leading edge to leading edge…

gracias! corto,sencillo y util!!!!!
Gracias! Estaré compartiendo más cortos como este!!!
when should it be measured? in diastolic phase?
Now the new guidelines suggests should be measured where you can see it in the biggest diameter...
I read during systole . But I don't see actually any important difference.
Where is aortic root?
Sinus of valsalva measurement
What are the normal values of those measuring ?
It's different in every country, depending on what guidelines are used on your echo department
Gracias!
De nada :)
Gracia!

Aortic measuremets (except annulus) should be performed FROM LEADING EDGE TO LEADING EDGE
