I unknowingly pitched a tent on an ancient battle ground back in 1989. I was woken up with the sound of a battle it was the most horrific sound I have ever heard In my life and it lasted for hours. I was literally petrified to the spot, holding the zip of the tent down. It was only after that I found out that it was the site of a horrific bloody battle. It was nothing like what you see ane hear on films, it was gut wrenching to listen to.
You poor thing. It would have been great if you could have recorded the sounds. I know you would be accused of fakery but there would have been sounds that would be very difficult to replicate. I don't want to freak you out, but did you hear voices?
I lived on an ancient battlefield that was undiscovered. I contacted Neil’s former associate, the celebrated battlefield archaeologist, Prof. Tony Pollard, as I had his mobile phone number. Unfortunately, being 2015 it was during the bicentennial year for Waterloo as well as the 600th anniversary for Agincourt and Tony was very much tied up with these events. So, the huge battlefield I had discovered was, and remains, undiscovered. I should point out that Tony knows be by a different name as I used to be a musician and changed my name 30 years ago in order to rediscover my privacy. Being that I have had quite a lot of what we call paranormal experiences, I found myself getting one or two at the site. These experiences are not just very real for me. They happen to lots of us. Mostly we prefer not to discuss them as they leave us open to ridicule. Therefore, I prefer to keep them to myself. The battlefield itself was something I realised I was on only 5 days after I moved there. Over the years I discovered that there was no longer any doubt that the site was where a genuinely huge lost battle had taken place on 30th June 1307. 1307 is more than a fascinating year in Scotland’s history. It is coincidentally the year that the Knights Templar genocide took place. Coincidentally, it is the very same year that Robert Bruce is funded with enough money to raise a huge army with which the fight for regaining Scotland’s independence commences. Without any doubt, the two events are more than coincidental. There is another battle site from the same war that was discovered due to two people having the same experience as you did, very near Roslyn, near Edinburgh. It was archaeologically searched and something like 16 truckloads of human bones dating from the same period were found to in the ground there. At the time of trying to get Tony Pollard interested, I actually asked him if he had any paranormal experiences on battlefields to which he confirmed to me was indeed the case. So, I believe your statement and commend you for coming forward with it. I cannot blame those who cannot accept these things, though, as I would also be struggling to do so had I not had a long life peppered by these inexplicable experiences.
As an avid reader all my life, I suddenly stopped at the start of lockdown. Not picked up a book since, or had any inclination to. It's as if the story unfolding around me was so deep and heavy, I had no room for anything else. Perhaps this book can rekindle my love for the written word. If not, you deserve the royalties. Good man, Neil, great thinker and orator. Love to you and the better half...
I know exacty how you feel. I've been in a dark place ever since this debacle kicked off. Nothing is a real pleasure anymore, books, music, fresh air all tainted by this foreboding globalist, psychopathic atmosphere. Just leave us alone to get on with life.
Probably you did then have room for SOMETHING else (as did I), but not for just more of THE SAME - as the posted above makes clear. [I stopped watching "Ancient Aliens" and "The Walking Dead" during the pandemic - for those very reasons] Covid came from a l*b and of course is a sign of humanity's great 1 John 5:19 capacity for evil at the top, in the organising systems - we have been seeing many other such signs in the awful 2020s End Times. What I personally had room for during the lockdown (if by a very circuious route) was the Holy Spirit bringing me love and truth and meaning and discernment (the capacity to tell good from evil). It gives joy and resilience and true meaning even in the midst of all the bad stuff. I am eternally grateful (in every sense) Is that not EXACTLY what we need in these times? Neil's book might tell us the deceipt and distraction and disruption encapsulated by the (yes, truly-existing) dark forces opposed to our beloved Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In which case, Neil would be like Robert Kirk before him (and maybe even Doctors Hynek and Vallee, paradoxically) in reminding people believing they are safe in secularity and science and suburban living that the alternative to Jesus is not theirs, but the aforesaid 1 John 5:19 scenario going unopposed. Nature abhors a vacuum. But you might well get (MUCH) more from a read of The Holy Bible - completely free online in all possible versions!!!
As a writer, your new abstinence from books is echoed. It has not been easy to write! What world is one addressing? What values can one assume still exist? What remains relevant in the topsy turvy chaos in which ALL the history is up for questioning, and even human life is no longer sacrosanct? The wars we rejoiced to think were forever gone never went...
*Imagine the guy walking in the rain - soaked to the bone* Eventually he gets into the village and downs a few whisky's to steady his nerves. He tells of walking along in the night - when a man in a car offered him a lift -- to which he said thanks. *About a mile down the road - he turns to ask the driver something - only to find himself back in the rain - with no car to be seen*
Imagine if a person walking in the rain went missing, after accepting a lift from a stranger? Not in a sinister or malicious way either, just never seen again. Maybe somewhere, somewhen that also happened, if all the fundamental forces of space and time are linked then maybe people quite literally fall through any gaps.
Neil you are one of THE most charismatic, interesting and articulate people I have ever (not actually) met. Although over the past few years, I feel as though I have. I’m sure you get this a lot. Since I will unlikely ever bump into you, I just wanted to share this now 😊 Bless.
Im just a normal bloke...nowt special....Im 59 in November and in my life time I have had so many paranormal experiences. I have twice been in a time slip....I was actually in a past time but didn't realise it for about two hours (its a long story) and I actually saw an empty room fill with furniture and had a family sitting in there living their life ( for a split second) Then a spirit/ghost stepped behind me and I got such a fright I ran away. Iv been visited in my sleep by dead people. (I didn't know one lady was dead until the very next day but she had a message for me) Iv had apparitions appear (of a little girl once) Iv had a Cast iron table that was so heavy I couldn't lift it, Dance on its legs...so many others.....There is another side to this life....We are living in truly Evil times now but Good will return....Darkness can not hold back the light....I genuinely feel sorry for Tony Blair, George Bush, Boris Johnston and so many others because they will all have to die some day and God is waiting for them.
What if all of us have a role to play. What if from their own perspective they're doing what's best for the collective and although the process to get where they want is evil the end result is the prosperity of the collective? How do we decide you're the evil one when someone had to be cast in that role for good people to stop them? Good people are not really stepping up now are they? Does that mean we're all evil because as a society we're allowing evil to rule and prosper? In theory communism is the best system devised but in practice it simply doesn't work. Capitalism only favors the best and brightest. Are both good or evil? We're functioning within these systems and it seems we're at a point both are failing? Are we evil because we support and function in these systems? And then from whatever your view is we judge and then throw in deity and souls or apparitions. I'm having a tough time with this okay. I'm really glad for those who can see the path because I feel lost in the woods.
@@mariuskruger2476I loved your comment. Hopefully this may give you some comfort. I think we volunteer to come here, it’s a tour of duty. I also think that we sign up to go through a time of great tribulation, and also to see the end of things. That this reality starts off quite well for us but gets very bad towards the end. I think it’s all part of the process, the program. So don’t worry - everything is planned. This is a classroom not a courtroom. Do your best and learn from the experience. Best,
I think we have free will. So, to put it simplistically, those who choose evil over good will pay the price for their choice to pursue evil deeds. Those who have made efforts to 'be good' will continue to evolve on their journey. It's more complex than that, but paring it right down to basics seems to reveal a good versus evil scenario at play. This is just my opinion, and what do I know? lol! And what if people are born evil? Do they still have a choice? It's a can of worms! All I know is that if i do a good deed, the resulting feeling of wellbeing I experience confirms I'm on the right path.
My dad lived in London in his 20s. He had a small bachelor flat. One night he was lying in bed facing the wall when he felt the mattress behind him bend down as If someone was sitting or lying on it. He said he lay still but started sweating with fear. He slowly looked over his shoulder and saw a man fully dressed and wearing a Top hat lying on the bed. My dad slowly moved his legs up into a foetal position and put his feet against the wall, and pushed back with all his strength. This ' man' fell off the bed and landed on the floor with a thump. My dad quickly sat up and looked over the edge of the bed on to the floor but there was no one there. He moved out of that flat as soon as he could!!😮
A story told twice when the person was in bed at night! Huge red flags here, it was at night, you're father was in bed, he could have been dreaming? Why do you believe it to quickly? Ok we quickly ascertain that our parent wouldn't be lying to us and making up stories. Would you ever contemplate a rational explanation for that? When I was a child I dreamt that I got my dream train set for xmas, I was so overjoyed in having such an expensive train set, I so excited that I woke in the middle of the night and played with it in my room for a couple of hours. In the morning I woke up and was shocked that I couldn't find my new trainset and thought someone had stollen it. I was so disappointed, I went to my parents to tell them and instantly realised that it was all a dream, yet it managed to make me feel rotten throughout the day believing I had the most wonderful train set in the world only to discover I had been dreaming.
I've had weird things happen to me, but never tell anyone about it because I know if I do, people would think I've gone a little crazy. So I keep it myself as I suspect many people do for the same reason
I used to own a small 3.5 acre woodland. I'm 73 and lifelong Quaker. One autumn Friday late evening. It was rapidly getting dark >> it was 5.30 and it started to rain. I saw a young man >> about 18 / 20 walking around. Highly spooky. I said it was a private woodland belonging to me. I politely said to him that I'm leaving and he can follow me out through a gate. I said it's only a 5 minute walk away. He said nothing and we walked next to each other. He said a few sentences but it was kinda gibberish. When we reached the gate he stopped and said "I've got to go back". I I said, "no, this is the way out". By now I was getting nervous. I relented and held out my right hand to say goodbye. His hand was red hot burning. Just like picking up a hot plate. He started to walk back and just disappeared within seconds. I shook hands with a young ghost.
Very interesting.. essentially shook hands with a ghost. You know, it has been impossible for me to dismiss these stories. When I was 9 I was being systematically drowned by a neighbor in their pool then was knocked out as I fought back .. I left and was floating above my body that had been dragged out of the pool and I was resuscitated … I am not very happy that I was resuscitated for reasons I will not say and that was 55 years ago .. but it makes me wonder what the circumstances would have been for that young ghost to have walked around with you then have to return .. I think it is cool that you shook his hand though it was hot
I've been seeing ghosts since I was between 2 and 3 years old. It always gives me a chuckle when people say they don't exist. And they have never been nasty, possibly because of my laid back response to them.
It's the belief of them being dead people between here and elsewhere that stops us from understanding what they really are, and believing they really exist. Fighting over the existence or the non existence of dead people stuck somewhere, appearing or not appearing, is a total waste of time, if they aren't dead people stuck somewhere. Just because the explanation given is complete nonsense, it doesn't mean they don't exist, just that they don't exist as we thought.
But what do you expect them to say OH! wow I totally believe you that's amazing? The fact that it is only you seeing the ghost would suggest to me that ghosts are inside ones head.
@@KaiStewart-n7b You are no different than a radio accusing a television set of hallucinating, because the images aren't real and you can't see them. Any suggestion that the voices you are hearing is a preposterous one. @pheart2381 isn't the only one seeing the ghost, and everyone who sees it sees the same thing, or a very similar version of it. You are just refusing to accept that lots of people see it, because you don't.
I had a 'time' experience in 2018., I was at work, on lunch duty at school. I, and the other lunchtime supervisors were on the playground and I remembered i had to pop back inside to quickly do something, the time on the clock was 12.50. I finished but felt like I'd been way too long and came back through the hall to go out again ,looked at the clock and it said 12.55. I stood for a second and couldn't believe it, I knew I'd been WAY longer. When I asked the others if they'd felt anything, they looked at me like I was mad saying erm.....no so I left it alone. The next morning I opened You tube and there, staring me in the face was a video entitled 'Missing Time... Thousands Missed Time Yesterday!' BOOM!
I research and listen to podcasts. Ive seen everything i knew slowly come to light. A heavy burden when you know and other people have no idea what youre talking about. Neil is going through the great awakening and his reaction is priceless. We are in strange times and it is unworldly. A spiritual battle. 🙏
This is nothing new, folks. This, Murder by Government is a natural state, of the most Unnatural belief, that ANY MAN IS FIT TO RULE ANY OTHER MAN. As long as the people who populate this planet, continue on, UNDER the idiocy that there has been any mortal man who is fit to rule Mankind, or any human fit to rule humanity, "Government" will continue to Murder, Steal from, and Rape this World. Ask yourselves, who IS the Enemy?? Is it your Pride, which will not let you see, that you HAVE BEEN FOOLED? Prayers for Eyes to Open, and Ears to Hear.
Bought two copies of the hardback last year….was a great read. And a great cover. I’ve had Many strange experiences myself. We don’t know what we don’t know.
Sweet... Congratulations - I will enjoy this - my Dad, still tentatively with us, had quite a few spooky experiences as a youngster and young man - he was/is one of those who could See... Thanks, Neil
I was in Wales on a trip carrying a heavy rucksack and struggling, when I looked up and to my left seen a beautiful lady in a long red cloak. I turned to the others to say 'look at that lady, but when I turned back she was gone. I've always wondered.
I met an elderly man atop a Welsh mountain early one afternoon. He told me how he had died that morning and watched as the paramedics brought him back. We said goodbye and he walked off behind me. I felt strange so I turned to look after him and he'd gone. I should have been able to see him.
Brilliant comment. I think some souls are tricked or mistaken into thinking they were brought back or resuscitated when actually they weren’t. I once was shown a picture of a horrific accident with two shining figures leaning over and comforting.
@@darrenscrowston9386I was systematically drowned by a neighbor in their pool then knocked out in the pool .. back when I was 9 years old … I would have preferred to NOT have been resuscitated as I had already left my body and was viewing it from above .. your comment was quite insightful
My Dad told the story of hearing a man he knew who walked on 1 leg and a peg leg. He heard his unmistakable steps coming up the road, and when he should of come into view, he didn’t. And it was then my Dad found out the one legged man had died 2 months before. These kinds of stories are too common to not have some truth.
I remember reading about Borley Rectory one hot summer in the garden - I was shivering! I had goose pimples just listening to your story just now! Then again a visit to Maiden Castle (Dorchester) one year, the children were flying kites with their dad and I wandered down to the southern part. The hairs on my back, neck and head just rose - weird sensation! Stepped back and it had gone. But a few childhood issues with uncomfortable feelings in my grandmothers house - not all of it - were confirmed at my dad's funeral when my uncle said the house was scary. We compared notes and yes. That house had something wrong.
Bought the book and enjoined it! Have had my own stories about this during my life and yes we live in a strange world. Speaking about it can help to understand it all better. Greetings from the Netherlands. Have been travelling a lot around England/Scotland/Ireland and loved it! Thank you for your messages ! Love to listen to you!
My dad used to drive miles with his job.He told me how he saw a pile up on the opposite side of the motorway. He looked into it and there hadn't been an accident that night but one a year previously.
In an effort to find an answer and not to take anything away from your Dads story, but could he have postponed the memory? Seeing an accident can be extremely traumatic and Post traumatic stress syndrome can do strange things to the mind. Had he seen it in the future that would be much less explicable.😊
Yes, I absolutely believe you. Something if a similar nature happened to me any years ago. I was driving through the Karoo in South Africa and came across an accident. I was alone so reported it to the police in the next closest town. They said this accident happened 2 years previously and they had many reports of it since then. My feet are very firmly on Terra firma but I know what I saw. Weird isn't it?
I lost my husband New Year’s Eve 2022. The following December I was so depressed I could not handle the Christmas lights. I stayed in my room the week of Christmas, just ignoring the world. On the morning of Christmas Eve I was laying in bed with my legs dangling from the side when I felt a warm hand grab my ankle and shake it. There was no one there that I could see, but I felt his presence and the grip of his hand.
As a rational realist, I’ve had a couple of very convincing experiences - both on visits to Scotland, as it happens 🙂 Thanks Neil - I will be seeking out your book 🙏
As a child i accidently summoned something using a ouija board She communicated with me what ensued was a few crazy years I would never use a ouija board ever again Although as someone once told me it wasn't my use of the ouija board that summoned it It was purely the intent to do so a ouija board was not needed so be careful ❤
Opening a wider Communication from fear (masked in normalised self-image) will always set up an ego-alien encounter. The Holy Spirit of an integral discernment arises from the wholeness of being that undoes guilted fears along with the wishful or ungrounded sense of self-imaged Getting. Learning not to let the mind run a head is to regain a real relationship - else a head runs amok.
You are correct. I started doing it at boarding school in the mid 1960s and it opened a portal that has never quite closed ever since. My experiences are pretty rare these days but I have concluded that there is probably as much equally good energy in the ether as there is bad. It seems to the law of the Universe. I therefore think it likely to be not just restricted to our lives within our mortal coil. Fortunately, despite many varying experiences that are inexplicable as anything other than genuine perplexing paranormal experiences, I have not had any bad experiences. Just the same, I wholeheartedly agree with you as to being beware of Oijah Boards, etc. They really do connect to energy that we have no control of. They can open portals and bring nefarious energy into our lives and that energy is almost certainly from what we see as deceased human beings. Just as here in this life, there are some truly ignorant and wicked souls out there. We do not understand how or what is going on when we activate this energy through messing around with the occult and/or Oijah type boards. My advice is to lead as positive a life as you can and stay away from things that we can neither understand nor control. I’m also not ever going to play with Ouijah again, not really because I fear it so much as because it is very real and I may just have been very lucky in not contacting nefarious ill-intentioned energy, for want of a better explanation.
I played around with a ouija board with a group of fellow students at university. The glass started flying around, which frightened the females in the group particularly so we dispersed and went our separate ways. Later that evening, I played with the board in my room, asking it questions. At some point I blanked out and found myself in the corridor with no memory of going there. Later that night, I felt a huge force on my body which was so strong I couldn't move a muscle. For months after that, I would feel a force tugging at my bedclothes and would have to cling on to them to prevent them flying off the bed. Needless to say, terrifying experiences. I strongly advise anyone against playing with a ouija board. Don't be fooled into believing it is harmless fun even if you are sceptical about the paranormal.
I bought this book in hardback. Fabulous read. I have had some encounters, nothing tangible save overwhelmongg feelings of dread and objects going missing but reappearing in odd places. All of these were at the same place and other people were party to them but didn't really admit to it.
Love it! In the theory of Quantum Physics, energy cannot be destroyed. We are energy in motion. When the body dies, the energy and frequency of who we are doesn’t! So why do only some people have experiences of seeing/ meeting those who have died? Fascinating! I love the way Neil narrates so I am now going to get that book.🤩
I was in a small antique shop in Australia checking out the items displayed, had the sensation someone was behind me wanting to get past, I turned around, no one was there but an old dress on a stand was giving of a "vibe" that I have never experienced before or since, nor want to ever again.
I was about 5 years old (1980), heard a noise, a crying/whimpering coming from my mothers bedroom, I pushed the door open, there was a lady I did not recognise stood looking out of the window, I said "hello", she turned to look at me but never said anything back, after about 30 seconds I backed out of the room and ran down the stairs to find my mother in the kitchen, I asked who is that lady in your bedroom, "what lady she replied", told her what I had seen, she asked what the lady looked like, I said she had a long blue knitted cardigan, curly short hair, my mother looked shocked, her mother my grandmother always wore a long blue knitted cardigan, she died when I was 2 months old, I never met her, nor was the any photos of her about the house in the blue cardigan, spooky..
Science cant define reality, but scientists can hold that their best models of reality cannot account for anomalies that are then at the least excluded from scientific currency of discourse, when the models operate as moder-day idols in which stakeholders of the established order are deeply invested.
I've experienced paranormal phenomena during my life. The latest was the most potent form. I was staying at the Shroppie Fly pub upstairs (not drunk - I was a kid!) I was sitting on the sofa and all the curtains were shut. Was about 1am. Something poked the curtains from behind - the curtains right next to me. I initially looked at them and wondered what was happening. While I was looking at them, they were poked again but very hard. The sound was very distinctive and the curtains were poked out quite far... The window was totally sealed, so there was no way any air currents could've got in. There were no animals there (cats/dogs), not even mice. It was the most bizarre and direct experiences of the paranormal I've had. Previous to that, I used to live in the Dowry in Nantwich. My toys would always move during the night and be in different places to where I put them in the morning, so while paranormal, it wasn't direct observation of something moving, just the aftermath. Anyway, thought I'd share my experiences.
Hi Neil. the strangest story I heard concerning Someone being given a Lift was of a Motorcyclist heading for Bristol on the A38 I think it was and as he got to Barrow Tanks Water Reservoir Turn Off, on the Junction, there was a Young Woman Thumbing a Lift, so he stopped, asked where she was heading for, and told her to hop on the Back, and when he got to her Destination and pulled over, she had gone, and panicking that she may have fallen off, went back, couldn't find her, so called the Police to help search for her. Now I can't remember if he was immediately told, or it may have been one of the Police in the Car that turned up to meet him, but apparently the Young Woman had been killed in a Car Crash and frequently turns up seeking a lift from passing vehicles. So whilst Spooky, I can imagine the relief of the Motorcyclist on hearing that at least she hadn't actually fallen off the back of his Motorbike. 🤔 Best Wishes. Bob in Wales. Having had very frequent visits to the Other Side, thanks to Drowning every night in my sleep due to excess Fluid created by my Beta Blocker eye drops, after so many NDE's, nothing Surprises me about the Spiritual Side any longer tbh, and frankly, I got so Pissed Off after being Constantly sent Back, I finally got Stuck in to searching for something to get the excess fluid Creation under Control, and even today over 25 years later, still have to stick to a regime of 2 Cigarettes, morning, afternoon. and evening before going to bed to keep my Sinuses under Control - side note, they got me through Covid ok as well, killing enough of the viruses in my nose throat and Airways, assisted by lots of Vitamin D3, Beta Carotene, and Indian Tonic Water, with or without Gin, forcthe Qyinine. So still here just about 😊 Best Wishes. Bob. 👍
I can think of many reasons for having those experiences with ghosts and the supernatural. To be shaken awake to the fact that this is temporal. To realize that our state of thought and especially emotional, is always one of the contributing factors. And lastly ones behavior in this life wether it's evil or good can give us a shake to assess our own ways and paths in this life. Personal experience with both ghosts and the demonic warfare have given an indelible stain upon me and now as im old im grateful to have the right armor on my heart and head. What a wonderful and blessed marriage you and Trudy have. Id give as well as most of us, a marriage of 38 yrs and still have lov of a lifetime. Bless you
I was always interested but skeptical in the paranormal until I witnessed poltergeist activity in an old hotel in South Devon back in 2008. Fantastic to hear one of my favourite commentators and posters on social media has written a book on the subject, can’t wait to read!
I bought your book some weeks ago to set aside as a Christmas present for my daughter who loves paranoia and spooky content. I can hardly wait to give it to her! Every time something odd happens in the house, we all always blame The Ghost. It’s just become an acceptable reason for finding things in odd spots and such like. Our ghost has a sense of humour.
The story about the man in the car who suddenly wasn’t there, reminds me of a similar incident in London about 15 years ago. I was a guide on double decker open top, sightseeing buses in London. It was the winter season so it wasn’t unusual for the tour buses to be empty like the one I was on but they still ran them stopping at various stops en route. We stopped near the Theatre Royal Haymarket and a young woman got on. & went to sit upstairs on the upper deck. Every time I have told this story over the years it seemed what she looked like has become more hazy, so much so that in the last few years I can only now remember scant details how I described her & without any degree of certainty. I think she was dressed quite ‘gothically’, a look that always appealed to me, as in dark layers & long skirt but can’t remember her features other than she was young, nor can I remember what she sounded like. When only one person was one which wasn’t uncommon in quiet season I would ask whether they’d prefer me to be on the microphone or to talk off mic to them personally. I didn’t wish to make anyone on their own feel uncomfortable. She was friendly I remember that & wanted to ask me loads of things as we passed down through Trafalgar Square & a long slow moving traffic on the Strand, it turned into quite a pleasant & engaging conversation about history. Eventually we reached the Aldwych and another stop & I remember I always liked to talk about the other theatre Royal that London has, the nearby Theatre Royal Drury Lane, coincidentally the most haunted theatre in the world. Funnily enough I later worked there in hospitality & had a strange experience with multiple champagne corks popping by themselves, but that’s another story! After quite a number of minutes of the bus being stationary at this stop & me & the young woman talking, I thought I better check everything was alright with the driver, so excused myself & went down the stairs to check. Sure enough it was just the driver chatting to a bored member of pavement staff to kill time. The sightseeing company ran these buses on a half hourly service this quiet time of year for anyone wishing to hop on & hop off. So satisfied all was well I returned upstairs to my passenger only to find she wasn’t there! I had only been barely a minute away. I looked down, surveyed the area, but no sign of her. Surely she hadn’t jumped 14 feet to the ground and the only exit was by the drivers cab where I had just been. Over the years of telling & retelling this story I exhausted rational explanations for this when quizzed by anyone I told it too. I’m still not sure it was supernatural but it was certainly an odd occurrence.
We grew up in Hertfordshire, lived there all our lives; we tragically lost our home because my partner became too ill to carry on work. We were 'forced' into the private renting world. We thought 'why not move to the Southwest as we'd enjoyed holidays there'? We ended up renting a place on the isle of Portland - we very soon became aware of a very negative feeling of unrest, jarring? We then moved to Weymouth, that was the same! We 'ping - ponged' around Weymouth for a number of years with this toxic feeling following us all the time?! Lastly, we ended up in Wareham - even worse! We found out about all the military history around that area, especially Wareham! The walled Saxon battle ground to keep out the Roman invasion! We feel so much unrested spiritual toxicity that it has actually made us ill!! (you can almost actually still hear the cannon fire - a lot of blood was shed!) They also manufactured/mined cordite in Wareham for WWII! Thankfully we are finally 'escaping' back to Hertfordshire!! Hope we can recover!!
I always remember being in the Navy in the 80's. We had a tour of Waterloo. Then taken into the trenches of Sanctuary Wood ( I believe it's been tidied up a it now) We were all in a happy mood having had a few beers in Waterloo. That seemed to change dramatically as soon as we got deeper in. Through the undergrowth you could see old shattered tree stumps, rusty barbed wire, pieces of equipment. Even the biggest gobshiittes went quiet. We all came out very sober and quiet. We then went to the small museum and saw some of the photographs and exhibits. Mangled bodies amidst the the shell torn wood, a whole gun team hanging in the trees. As a child my family moved to Shropshire from London. Family walk. Came across an old oak tree. Dangling from the branches were magpies, crows and mice etc.Swinging in the wind. It was not far from a fresh water spring. As a 6 year old and a 58 year old I still think this was haunted, some locals believe it was a hanging tree for criminals etc. I also served at Faslane submarine base. Glen Fruin, site of a clan battle. A wind blown place - lots of atmosphere. But on another note, I was in the Sealed Knot. Been to the pub after a battle reinactment. All in civil war uniform. Dark and foggy night. Two cars came by at different times Must have seen us. Braked hard. We all dived into the undergrowth. Both cars sped off 😂❤
I'm always looking for an author whose books I've not yet discovered but have an inuition I would enjoy. I think I've finally found a new one to keep me busy through this coming winter. 🙂 So happy I stumbled upon your video! And, btw, your accent is very enjoyable to listen to! So, thank you for that as well! 🇺🇸
Maybe the driver was being delayed for a few minutes on purpose. If he had just continued maybe something would have happened to make him have an accident. His gardian angle was watching over him.
precisicely , subtle temporal engineering , a slight delay to "undo " a future tree falling or truck loosing control in his path to shift the event so he has time to brake and avoid an accident is a very good explanation for " guardian angel" type saves , perhaps to change the future ? or adjust Gods garden? fascinating topic...science meets religeon...
As a young lad my brother and myself and a friend had a paranormal experience one night in a 16th century hotel in the Lake District which is vivid to this day and the happenings were bizarre.
I’m not a believer in religion or an afterlife, but you do hear many many stories similar to this and often from completely rational people. It leaves plenty of room for thought🤔
There’s certainly an afterlife. Or, a beforelife - to be more exact. I was there the other night and spoke to a beautiful soul that used to be the comedic actor Windsor Davies. Sounds lunatic as I type it but there y’are.
Something, an energy or force pushed me backwards in a church yard friends saw my face and that was enough, I was the fearless one and my obvious fear rattled all....I've never forgotten it, or told anyone. It was very real and very powerful.
On a gloomy, overcast day at sinister Hermitage Castle I convinced my wife and myself that the black leather-clad figure who appeared in a doorway was Black Douglas. No such luck - in fact a German motorbiker from Hamburg, up for a spot of fishing!
On family camping trips to the Scottish Highlands strange weird stuff would happen our pet lab would often sit and stare as if somebody was close to the campfire ..pebbles often found on car roof and in places unexpected..my dad used to attribute these happenings to fortean and mystical events triggered by the mountains its almost like the mineral's were a repository for the paranormal i remember seeing a figure in clan regalia on a bridge over the river Finnan near Crainlarich.. which just faded away .. apparently this figure has been seen many times in this location ..all very weird and spooky but also fascinating

Just ordered it Neil, had it on my list for a while .
Good morning, Neil i have had lots of experiences with the paranormal. My Dad came to me when he passed away, and it helped me over a hard time in my life. I will buy your book.
I look forwards to buying Neil's book. I once had an experience that no one has been able to offer a suggestion to me about what happened. It was back in the 1980's and I have been unable to forget it. It frustrates me that I still can not imagine what it could have been.
💐💐💐💖Neil, ill buy your book even though i dont believe in the paranormal and i think its disrespectful to believe in ghosts. Your loving Granny does not become a scary spectre after death, thats a horrible way to think. I dont mean you Neil, but that is a trope in scary stories, films etc. Both my Grannies were insensitive snarky snobs but they are not ghosts. But I do believe in the power of BELIEF in the occult. We know that THEY take a malevolent delight in flagging up whatever nasty new initiative they are launching with significant occult symbols and markers that pass most people by and those that notice can be dismissed as 'conspiracy theorists'. Its odd that the same people who are happy to believe in ghosts (and angels) are happy to dismiss real actual occult symbols as "the realms of fantasy". PS. I do accept the reality of 'atmospheres'. Ive encountered 'atmospheres' and i get why no one wants to sleep in the 'haunted bedroom' at Breamore House!
A friend gave me a hard backed copy of your book last January on the occasion of my 81st birthday knowing I am a great admirer of your work and oratory. I love the stories and identify a lot with Scotland having grown up in Northumberland and frequently visited your beautiful country and of course learned Scottish dancing in school and also how to understand the Glaswegians who ritually spend summer holidays in the seaside town of Whitley Bay where I lived. I have had several 'spooky' experiences one of which was waking up in a Devon farmhouse hearing the sound of children crying and 'seeing' a group of men all wearing black and white clothes and their leader, a tall red bearded man meeting in another room far away from the crying children. My then husband, fully awoke me and we both agreed I had experienced a bad dream. However, when talking to our host, we learnt that this farmhouse was the secret meeting place of some of the Pilgrim Fathers. I still can't quite make sense of this, but I know what I experienced.
Whilst I was at the computer early morning approx 2.30am I'm writing an assignment, I hear voices behind me in the room. I turn to see a group of Victorian kids between 13 and 18 years old walking through the walls of my house, laughing in mischievous manners on the edge of a field setting in time. They passed, a few seconds later one of the youngest lads ran back into the room, looked at me, smiled and ran off to be with the others. They looked stuck in time
I briefly saw a ghostly figure one night when I was about 15, so 55 years ago. He was standing by the side of my bed and I could quite distinctly make out his features and clothing. The following day a friend of mine was going to give his aunt a hand in her cafe and asked if I'd like to come along, even though I'd never met her before. Whilst we were on the bus travelling to the cafe I told him about the ghostly apparition and described its features and clothing. After a couple of hours of washing up etc my friend's aunt cooked us some lunch and as we ate, her husband appeared for the first time asking if she needed anything from the shops. I looked up, stopped eating and froze as I stared at him. My friend noticed and asked what was up so I nodded towards his uncle. He immediately realised that this was the person I had seen in my apparition, exactly as I had described him, right down to his pencil moustache, blue quilted zip up jacket and grey cap. How spooky was that?!
I will be buying your book Neil Oliver. I love anything paranormal and have experienced things that cannot be explained. I was fascinated as a very young child; it was just intuitively natural to me to think about things that no one else did. I was told to be quiet and stop talking nonsense.
I have constant paranormal activity here where I live. I'm not sure why, I've lived here for years, and it just recently started. It (or whatever) bothers me when I sleep and seems to not want me to sleep night or day.
I saw an old lady in a gown sitting on a chair knitting in my brothers room when I was younger. I was absolutely frozen for what felt like hours. I don’t blame people for being skeptical but it just takes an experience for them to completely change their mind.
Wonderful! I’ll definitely get a copy of this book. I am an avid reader and lucky enough to have a library at home so will add this to my collection. I love books like this ❤
Hello Neil,I remember my dad told me years ago when he was a van shop salesman traveling from Kilkenny to Dublin in the 1950s about a man who put out his hand for a lift to the Kilkenny border. As he turned around to tell him it was his stop he was not there?. The van was locked at the back?.
These phantom hitchhiker stories are great. There was a brilliant one in Arthur C Clarke’s Mysterious World book, written by Simon Welfare and John Fairley. In it, the lorry driver had the hitchhiker in his cab for a good long while, turned to say something to him and he wasn’t there. Couldn’t have opened the cab door. It’s like the Betty and Barney Hill story, you can’t explain these things away - you either except them or you don’t. Only if they happen to you, can you live without the doubt which is caused by the mechanics of this dense-matter, linear reality existence.
Neil Oliver national treasure

@@aion5837good laugh story right?
@marcusgotts2938
Ah, the battle of Glastonbury and those funny cigarettes on an empty stomach.
Literally turned to stone . . . I don't think so.
I've read the book and I can thoroughly recommend it. And, no, I have not been paid to say this! Great stuff Neil.
Lockdowns are a story within.
Don't give up on what was done to us, lest we forget 😢
I know exacty how you feel. I've been in a dark place ever since this debacle kicked off. Nothing is a real pleasure anymore, books, music, fresh air all tainted by this foreboding globalist, psychopathic atmosphere. Just leave us alone to get on with life.
Tony I was the same but I started listening to books in an attempt to stop my brain from overthinking. Slowly my love affair with books has returned
Probably you did then have room for SOMETHING else (as did I), but not for just more of THE SAME - as the posted above makes clear.
[I stopped watching "Ancient Aliens" and "The Walking Dead" during the pandemic - for those very reasons]
Covid came from a l*b and of course is a sign of humanity's great 1 John 5:19 capacity for evil at the top, in the organising systems - we have been seeing many other such signs in the awful 2020s End Times.
What I personally had room for during the lockdown (if by a very circuious route) was the Holy Spirit bringing me love and truth and meaning and discernment (the capacity to tell good from evil). It gives joy and resilience and true meaning even in the midst of all the bad stuff.
I am eternally grateful (in every sense)
Is that not EXACTLY what we need in these times?
I bought & read the hard back version last year within 2 nights
A great read
wow 2 nights good going
*Imagine the guy walking in the rain - soaked to the bone*
Eventually he gets into the village and downs a few whisky's to steady his nerves.

The devil is holding the door open, he’s just awaiting them
Loved reading what you have written.
He moved out of that flat as soon as he could!!😮
Eeeek scary!😮
Some are ok - like writing to invisible people on a screen ;-)

Ditto -oops used a term from the movie Ghost .. but seriously I have too ..
I said, "no, this is the way out".
The scene has been set!. An enticing read to be enjoyed, I'm sure. Thanks.❤

I've lived in 2 haunted houses. My memories of the things that happened are as fresh in my mind today as they were when they occurred.
For all this man does for us all, this is the least we can do. Just ordered up a copy. Look forward to reading it.

A definite buy for me! Can’t wait to read this! Culloden? Glen Coe is supposed to be haunted.
Bought the book and enjoined it! Have had my own stories about this during my life and yes we live in a strange world. Speaking about it can help to understand it all better.
@Ln-cq8zu No accident recorded in that spot for a year. So that rules out your sceptical theory.
There are a lot of stories like that from 9/11.
How wonderful! 😊 Sounds very comforting, too. I love when they visit.

The “wee black car of Skye” story is a belter.
As a child i accidently summoned something using a ouija board
She communicated with me what ensued was a few crazy years
I would never use a ouija board ever again
Although as someone once told me it wasn't my use of the ouija board that summoned it
It was purely the intent to do so a ouija board was not needed so be careful ❤
Looks like an interesting read. Cheers Neil.
The tale of lone pedestrians out in bad weather who disappear is a common one. I will probably buy the book.
I was in a small antique shop in Australia checking out the items displayed, had the sensation someone was behind me wanting to get past, I turned around, no one was there but an old dress on a stand was giving of a "vibe" that I have never experienced before or since, nor want to ever again.
I believe we all leave the essence of our lives when we move on..........perhaps like a good perfume, some remain stronger for longer.
Beautiful.
Yes we are essences that create beauty or evil 👿 but the aroma is always there
I was about 5 years old (1980), heard a noise, a crying/whimpering coming from my mothers bedroom, I pushed the door open, there was a lady I did not recognise stood looking out of the window, I said "hello", she turned to look at me but never said anything back, after about 30 seconds I backed out of the room and ran down the stairs to find my mother in the kitchen, I asked who is that lady in your bedroom, "what lady she replied", told her what I had seen, she asked what the lady looked like, I said she had a long blue knitted cardigan, curly short hair, my mother looked shocked, her mother my grandmother always wore a long blue knitted cardigan, she died when I was 2 months old, I never met her, nor was the any photos of her about the house in the blue cardigan, spooky..
I've had several experiences that science tells me are impossible.
Perhaps current science is behind.
Sadly - this is people, not science.
Science doesn’t have all the answers. In fact, in most things outside laws about thermodynamics it has absolutely zero answers.
Science cant define reality, but scientists can hold that their best models of reality cannot account for anomalies that are then at the least excluded from scientific currency of discourse, when the models operate as moder-day idols in which stakeholders of the established order are deeply invested.
Nice one Neil, glad you're on board. there's something in the air. Definitely is
I've experienced paranormal phenomena during my life.
Love this Neil. I've heard several similar accounts. Truly the world is more than we know. x
I just bought it...i had no idea. Shall look forward to reading it.
Hope we can recover!!
i think we've all been down the unable to be explained road in one way or another, i know i have as have many of my friends and relations.
Got all of Neil's books and read them often.
I always remember being in the Navy in the 80's.
We had a tour of Waterloo.
Then taken into the trenches of Sanctuary Wood ( I believe it's been tidied up a it now)
We were all in a happy mood having had a few beers in Waterloo.
Two cars came by at different times
Must have seen us.
Ok will try to get it, my daughter has had a few experiences myself one, can’t dismiss anything in this wold relating to the past. 👍😀🌺
Neil, I have the hard cover of your book! Great reading your work!👻
Belief in the unknown and unknowable indicates someone I'm right to listen to. God bless Neil.
Thanks for the reminder about the paperback. I wanted that but had forgotten. Off to get it now.
I've had encounter's with the paranormal that I never imagined possible ! Love a ghostie book !
I've just bought your book on Kindle and downloaded it on to my e-book reader. I'm really looking forward to reading it. 🎉
I was an avid viewer of your "Coast" series of documentaries Neil. Riveting and informative !!
Just downloaded this on Audible! That's my weekend sorted, thanks Neil 😊
There is Life after Death.
Only though Jesus .
There is life before life too
@@phillipcarter8045that’s totally and completely true. Border control.
Evening Neil ✌️
Ta very much, brother. I'll order the hardback tomorrow. (closed Sunday).
Gabriel of Norway.
7:08 Haunt me, ok, just don't 'ghost' me lol
I'd love this in Audible format, sadly I don't have the attention span to read after doing my thesis. Scratch that, there is an audible version.. YES!
I would only hope it's Neil's voice on the audio book!
I have had a few wonderous journeys driving up the A9 to Wick, magical journeys
I have the book too, and definitely recommend anything you have ever written.
Did you purchase or bring any new objects into your house recently?
I saw an old lady in a gown sitting on a chair knitting in my brothers room when I was younger. I was absolutely frozen for what felt like hours. I don’t blame people for being skeptical but it just takes an experience for them to completely change their mind.
Wonderful Neil. You have to do a evening readings.
There's things on this planet we don't remotely understand. All we can do is be decent and open.
I have this book on audiobooks, love the fact Neil narrates in his beautiful voice accent . ❤ love south coast England 🏴.
Love books ! I have had experiences! I am a believer .. OMG! I got chills when you said he is not there the first time! Chills! I hear it and get it!
A lot of people are afraid to come out of the 'groupthink safety net.'
"Enjoyed it". I should have said😅!
Thoroughly! 😉
I’m a massive book worm
I shall buy your book Neil.
