- Lakers are currently searching for the next head coach of the organization. Lakers Nation seems mixed on who the Lakers should hire and hopefully they hire that head coach quick. Lakers News came out that Interviews for the vacant head Coaching spot will begin next week.

Jeannie and Rob are too scared and fake to hire Mark Jackson. They screwed up with Jason Kidd. He had some trouble in the past and instead of hiring him outright they acted PC and made him an assistant...and we saw how that worked out when he left. They same mess with Lue and the SAME with Jackson...he deserves another chance,but the FO are worried about what everyone else says.
Sorry, brother but Adelman and Nori are different than Walton. The Golden State at the time he coached, coached themselves. He wasn't proven. Ham was different due to not wanting a vet coach and people forgot he was a former player. He was never known for his basketball acumen. Adelman 's dad was an NBA coach and probably has a lot more understanding than Reddick.
Jackson is indeed the best at X&Os, but he will end up being a cancer for the team. He is a difficult character to deal with, according to prior accounts. Don't forget, we have 2 Alpha in LBJ and AD on the team. Plus he is kind of banished from the NBA due to his personal issues if I'm not mistaken.
IMO, to be avoided.
Pat Riley and Phil Jackson was very respected head coaches by the lakers

Adelman or the Timberwolves assistant coach. We need someone who is defense oriented and can run a team oriented offense similar to what the Nuggets & Timberwolves run. Grab JJ as an assistant coach so he can get his foot in the door.
Sorry but don't want to be chasing the flavor of the month..Let adleman or Nuri go someplace else. LA isn't the place for rookie head coaches not named crazy Rondo way way too much pressure and noise...

@@hilamadventures4060 outside of atkinson everybody else is a rookie head coach so who cares? At least Nuri & Adelman have coaching experience at the NBA level and know what the HC job entails.
A combo of Kenny JJ and Adelman would be ideal. If we can only have one I would go with Kenny
We don't have enough size at the "big" positions to win a championship. The new coach will only be successful if Rob gives the coach a Roster with several bigs. We need to send some scouts globetrotting to find us some bigs.
What bigs. Name 2 starting quality NBA centers with size that are available by trade or free agency. Just 2 possibilities?

@@LeadfootLou yeah. Denver knew about Jokic and drafted him. The same with the others. They didn’t find them in a Cracker Jack box. It took years for Jokic to be a starter you want someone now right? Someone that will get Lebron his championship? They already have scouts, the problem is the Lakers never develop anyone. They have traded away or let go an all starts team worth of talent in the last 5 years. They won’t remain patient on a raw rookie. So again, name 2

Rob gave away Drummond who wanted to return, same for Howard. the last 2 summers didn't even go look for a legit big..Hayes is a project. Sadly we don't develop players like we should and now that Handy is gone....
I don’t think its fair to judge Charlotte’s past head coach, because they were a playoff/play-in team for two years when Lamelo Ball was healthy. Can’t blame the coach for a team being trash due to your best player not being able to stay healthy.
Keep the pick and Draft Zach edey. He improves drastically every year and could be a monster in the league for 25 minutes a night
Lakers have proven they scout well then draft terribly..Zach could be there they will draft a guard who can't shoot.
Ty Lue or JJ with Atkinson as lead assistant, wouldn't really consider the others. Possibly Atkinson with JJ lead assistant, but I think JJ would be better as coach as he would be a long term answer as coach, could learn from the assistants
@@WavesBland26 I agree, I would take someone with experience any day, like a Budenholzer or Ty Lue, I would be trying to convince Ty Lue to switch LA teams. Budenholzer No longer an option and there's no other good established coaches available, I honestly believe the front Office doesn't know what they're doing as they're wasting lebron's final years with a rookie coach

I would hire an assistant coach from a good system (ie: Micah Nori from Minnesota) over someone with NO coaching experience (ie: JJ Redick) every time. The Lakers are not in a position to experiment or take risks.
Being an assistant in sleepy Minnesota with no media followers isn't the same as being the top dog In LA...
Coach Ant & Kat ain't the same as coaching LBJ & AD
The need a coach who can navigate all those things as well..

They just didn’t get no bench production outside of Taurean Prince. That BS coaching Darvin Scam was doing lost the locker room in the season and playoffs.
They should get jj Reddick and get frank Vogel for defense...and get Phil handy and Terry stout

Why continue to consider prospects that have little or no coaching experience? This is a major market franchise with high pressure and high expectations ! They need a proven leader ! Aren't these impulsive ideas short of that, foolhardy? I am not sure how well the clutch sports alignment has worked out either. All this has to pass across the front office and their moves and non-moves might be considered questionable too, in terms of focusing the lens to build a results (not excuses) oriented, competitive-in-2025 team.

Lakers should go all in on the circus. They should hire JJ. Trade their pick down for 2 late 1sts and pick Bronny. Sign Porter Jr to a min. Sign Miles Bridges to Room level exception. Resign DLo 4 years 80 mil. Trade Rui and possibly Vando for big that could play both the 4 and 5
