How to play the "Disengage The Simulator" riff by CKY | RIFF OF THE WEEK

If you could tell, we're really loving the throwback tunes right now so we're back this week with this awesome riff, "Disengage The Simulator" by CKY.
So grab your axe and get learning with Arran, who has also featured the tab for the riff in the video which is super handy! For this song, you'll need to take your guitar down a whole step in tune, down to D-A-F-C-G-D. The riff itself has quite a bit of bounce to it, so make sure you're feeling extra jaunty when playing it!
This is such an infectiously good feeling riff and will definitely be stuck in your head for the rest of the day, sorry not sorry!

These tabs are the best I've found. Anytime the 2nd fret is played on the E (D) string, it sounds way better if you play the full power chord.

I was making that riff much harder than it is…I’ve been playing for a really long time and have just been recently going back to learn some riffs that I like and realized I never sat down to figure out. The bouncy thing and the bass mirror on the recording made me feel like there was something I was missing, but I was just adding in too many notes. Slainte!
