Snow falling outside, watching the squirrels playing in the trees, Christmas coming soon, and this song on the hifi in the living room. Memories from the fall of 1969.
Amazing that they had been together as a band only about a month when they recorded this album, and they were so young! I hope you continue to go in album order. You'll definitely hear more "hidden gems" along the way, and it's interesting to get a sense of how they progressed through their 12 years together as a band. Thanks for another excellent reaction.
This hit me, too - I got this album late, so I was in college in 1983 and I wore the album out. I have to say, when you are speaking to Led Zeppelin fans, they already recognize how you felt about this song being one that gets you going. Have you ever heard of The Rain Song or In My Time of Dying? Probably not, but they can get you, too!! Also, Over the Hills and Far Away - Seriously, this is why LZ rules. Their whole catalog is high quality.
my favorite LZ album - amazing all the way around. They'd been playing together for only about 2 months when the album was recorded. The album was recorded in about 36 hrs. Thanks for the reaction.☮
Such a fantastic song and one of my favorite LZ songs. They knew had to write great music. Not sure why it may not be as popular but since I heard this when the album was first released it hadn't occurred to me that it wasn't well known. I think the organ solo by JPJ at the start is genius and it makes this intro so memorial and distinctive giving it a classical church music sound before the song takes off. Hey now that you've discovered this gem you can share with others.
Very nice. Zeppelins my all time favorite.. I'm kinda hooked on THE WARNING NOW.. with that said , another family band has my attention. They are called "LILIAC" (Lil-lee-ack) rock/metal.. one of the best vocalist around today.. independent band.. See UA-cam liliac band.. try MARS LIVE IN CUMMING GEORGIA 2019 & PIECE OF MY HEART(Joplin cover)same show.. I'm thinking you'll love the family. 🤟🎶☮️
Enjoying the reactions, try "How the West was Won" for live versions of songs you can't find of the earlier years. Jimmy does used a Fender 10-string pedal steel guitar on this track in the background but it is primarily an acoustic piece.
Heartbreaker from RAH was only partially recorded. I don't think there's video, and the song cut off 2/3 into the song. Here's a link : the performance from RAH cut at 3:59 but the youtuber added video and the last part from another live show, probably a performance from the same year. ua-cam.com/video/l--LY9C6wR0/v-deo.html
Well now it was popular and played on the radio. But ya LZ has many songs that well strike a chord with you. You just haven't heard them all yet. Your time is going to come. lol
It's difficult to point out great Zeppelin tracks other than to say all. Almost every group has songs on an album or entire albums that you could skip over, not so with Zeppelin. Granted, they do have a couple of songs that aren't as good as others, but those are still better than some groups good stuff.

Sorry...But there is none better...THE GOATS! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The only way to really do Zeppelin is to start at 1st song and do them all in order. And throw in rarities and live performances as you go
1st album and setting the bar High❤✌️🎵🎤💯
Never got higher
Trust me .. these guys are not from planet Earth .. The greatest band in history

JPJ taking you to church....not bad for a group of early 20-somethings...
