@Michael Wages I actually ordered from the UK and got this about a month ago. I just recently got a notification from Team Covenant too. So I'll have a 2nd copy soon. lol
@Stewart King I couldn't wait and ordered it from the UK. I've had it for awhile now and have played the campaign with the 2 new heroes. I do really like the new characters eventhough I have no idea about them from the comics. Very fun to play. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer my local game store is gonna get it this week I believe: I've been trying to support them and wait for them to get stuff. It's not a big deal to wait a bit longer if I have to, but I'm so ready to get my hands on this so bad! 😆
Adam Warlock is the new top of S tier hero in my opinion. He takes a bit to get his whole setup going, but he's amazing at stalling out the game with those Wards and 1-of spells. His ability is very versatile and Soul World is just absurd. You can field a very strong Yondu by pulling Energy Spear and Boot Camp from aggression combine with Inspired. Major Victory and Rapid Response can get him a pair of extra activations in a single turn as well. You'll be tearing through your deck so fast that it's impossble to miss assembling pieces of the combo because you can tutor them from the discard pile with his Quantum Magic. Spectrum is a very solid A. She plays like a better version of Ant-Man. She doesn't seem like she'd be flipping around as often, but since all her power cards shift her around you'll be changing quite frequently. Her heals from shifting to Pulsar form can really add up, but I wish that her Pulsar Shield readied her instead of giving her retaliate 1. Of they should remove the restriction on Dauntless so that you can actually run a Protection deck built around Retaliate. Protection is by far the most boring and least powerful aspect and having a fun retaliate build could be great.
As an aside: isn’t it nice to see everyone* having loads of fun with a new expansion? Y’know, for a change. This expansion is two mini campaigns loosely tied together and I couldn’t be happier. (somebody had to say it). The Thanos gang is MC As You Like It. Solid design in all three decks. In Asgard it’s all grande opera melodrama and Hela is the sleeper hit of the box. Critters and threats flying from her fingertips. Just like the comics. Loki is hilarious and a touch RNG heavy. Just imagine what his cards can do when his hero pack comes out a’la Nebula. Mystic characters rule. The heroes alone make this box worth it. Spectrum is lethal and very thinky. Flipping energy forms and all her associated cards is tres dynamic. Notice her obligation doesn’t include the “you may flip” option? Tricky. As for Warlock, have I mentioned anything with the Mystic trait is boss? The deck-building shenanigans he will get into is gob-smacking wonderful. Dr. S, Wanda & Warlock - three-handed. Let Chaos run amok. I definitely will ask Santa for this one. Yes, I will sit in a sweaty man’s lap and beg. I ain’t proud *shipping not included
At first I wasn't too keen on either heroes but after a bit more time and playing each about 10 times I'm enjoying them a lot. Playing true solo I tried the cosmic entities cards that get in the encounter deck but they were not good enough.
I agree about the Cosmic Entity cards. The biggest issue I had was that when they go to the discard pile they return to the hero's discard pile. They should have added a special rule that if those cards enter the discard pile without their 'When Revealed' text being triggered, or as a boost card, they should be placed in the Villain deck. It really sucks spending two resources to put them there then watching them just get tossed aside when something triggers an effect that needs to put a villain or side scheme into play. I cut them from my decks as well. Cool concept but they're too much of a gamble for how much they cost.
Wow thanks for this video. I bought this as a gift for my Dad but just looking on the back I wasn't to excited for the villains besides Thanos only because I don't really know to much of the other guys since I don't read the comics. Anyway after seeing your video and seeing there are 2x secret villains that weren't on the box. I am soooo...... excited now. Anyway great video and keep up the good work.
Hi there! I’m glad you got your copy! Still waiting for mines! Would you mind sharing how many cards are for the Villains and for the Heroes? I wanna prepared with sleeves 😆
@The solitaire's Gambit I've already put all cards in my storage box, but the box did state it had 268 cards. Hope that can get you close to what you need. Hope you enjoy when it arrives! :)
I really want these villians but don’t care about the heroes, as I play this game for theme and have no idea who they are and don’t care to know lol. Hmmm
@TrueMrFu I knew nothing of these heroes from the comics, but have enjoyed playing them. Both are strong in my opinion, but agree that characters that you know and love (captain america for me) are more fun thematically to play. Hope you enjoy the villains! :)
@RJL 518 To the best of my knowledge, it hasn't released in the US or Canada. I ordered from the UK, because I have issues. ;) Hope you get your copy soon!
I don't know if I want to buy this. The villains look great but I couldn't possibly care less about the two heroes they included. So for me its a $35 set for 3 cool villains...
@grog3514 Thanks for watching! I have no willpower against this game, but also had no idea about the heroes in this set in the comic world. All I can say is, I do like the way the heroes work.
Don’t forget Blade doesn’t take consequential damage! He’s good to keep around
@Josh Walton Thanks for pointing that out!! I'm sure I overlooked that! :)
Great video as always. I got my charge notification from Team Covenant for this but I haven’t gotten a shipping notification yet. You are lucky! :)

Do you have to play the other expansions first before playing the mad titan's shadow?
@Liam Vers No, you can start here and go through the campaign, or play one-shots against any of the villains. Hope that helps, and happy gaming!! :)
May I ask what retailer you used? I've also given consideration to this angle . . .
@Michael Hajduk I used Zatu Games at www.board-game.co.uk/
Happy gaming!! :)
