I saw a very recent interview with Bernard Sumner in which he said (Not a verbatim quote); 'I was recently watching some world news channel and I saw a news video clip of several hundred Syrians (or Palestinians) running for their lives from gunfire and I noticed a young girl wearing at t- shirt with Joy Division's first LP picture on it....' And he wss very moved by seeing that...
Well actually it was more of a joke as the guy coughing during Hooky's interview was kinda causing a disruption which was unprofessional (like when a ringtone goes off during a talk) so Hooky addressed it in a humorous way rather than just let the interview go out with coughing and spluttering all over it.
I checked out the Nine Inch Nails version (Dead Souls) and I must say the drums don't float and the production is too harsh. I can't see the point of covering a tune so that it sounds like the original but with none of the magic. Whereas when Johnny Cash covered Nine Inch Nails (Hurt) he transformed it into a masterpiece.
love hookys sound on bass, but reformed new order without asking him?didn,t he split the band without telling the other members! toys out of the pram i think hooky!

Substance is a good read.
you can tell hooky is a good guy when he hears a mate cough and stops the interview to ask "you okay mate?" lol what a guy

disorder always gets me goin
Did Hooky misspeak when he said Atrocity Exhibition is an uplifting song or have I missed the point of that song entirely?
wonder what Hooky thinks of Steve's books.
I’m glad Peter tries to deglamorize Ian Curtis’ death by suicide as much as he can, I absolutely hate the “live fast, die young” romanticism.
