The reason the commentators were going off on the west tigers Alex twal try is because he’d gone his whole career up until that point never scoring a try but he’d gotten close a fair few times but could never seal the deal, it because a ‘running joke’ in the nrl community and all fans getting behind him every game and hoping he’d get a try, that’s why it was a great moment haha

the context on that last clip - it was the grand final and after halftime it was 24 - 8 and the brisbane broncos were winning, but in the last 20 minutes nathan cleary almost singe handedly got a win for the penrith panthers, hence why they were so happy

That's Cleary's masterpiece. He can cop it for Origin (his record is shit house), but he will always have that GF. Sad to say it, as a Bronx fan, but he won that.
The last 2 tries were from the grand final which is basically our Superbowl. Broncos were 24-8 up with 20 minutes to go and Panthers came back to win. Broncos looked like they were going to run away with it till then.

The last 2 Bronx GF's I've had someone say to me "you've got this" only for me to tell them, "you've just fucked us". Hats off to the Panthers (and Cowboys), but it still hurts. I reckon that Yeo HIA was when we just slowed right down, and didn't keep the pedal down. Not anyone's fault but ours, he needed to come off for that HIA, but we should have just kept the pedal down.

A lot of these tries are great not necessarily because of the skill level or razzle dazzle involved but because they where in big semi finals/grand final matches & other's because they where clutch last minute plays to win a match.
Great reaction Bro, I love the NRL one of the best things about it is the regular season usually starts round March & finishes on the last weekend of September, I find it a bit more exciting than Rugby Union unless you're watching international test matches which are normally 3 games between two countries, the UK's Superleague starts & finishes around the same time, regular season games are between Thursdays & Sundays with 17 clubs in the draw
In NRL what you call a Fake is called a Dummy. Stiff arms are illegal, pushing off a tackler is called a Fend

Broncos game is the one to go to. They made it to the grand final and lost, but they are a fantastic team. Roosters are great too, so broncos vs roosters will be a great game.

The 2023 grand final with Penrith panthers and the Brisbane broncos was one of the best grand finals I’ve seen the comeback from the panthers in the second half was amazing and I hope the panthers go for a 4th grand final win this year

There are two games in Vegas to kick off 2024 ,NRL Rugby League is much faster and more explosive then Rugby Union

My dad was picked for the Olympic B team in the UK back in the 1960s (horse riding , fencing and long distance swimming) He also played Hooker in RNRU (Royal Navy-UK- Rugby Union) for almost 24 years. NRL is fast and furious but I was weaned on Rugby Union-Wales and England depending on who was playing. Da’s family were from Welsh roots. Welsh flag-best in the world .
My family is Welsh also, Aussies now, but my Pop would walk up his 200m driveway each morning to raise the Welsh flag, and take it back down every night until he was admitted into the hospital before he passed away at 87 years of age. He was a Sharks fan, but died without seeing them win the GF. They eventually won it after 50 years of playing, but he missed that. I'm a Broncos fan, but will always have a soft spot for those Sharkies because of him.

The teams they chose were ridiculous. Broncos I get, the biggest club in Australia, but sub the team with the worst crowds (Roosters) for New Zealand Warriors, and Manly for Melbourne Storm then you have people cheering on different cities (and even countries). Now you'll have people cheering on suburbs and a city.
@@bellingdog I just want to say it’s funny how you said the roosters have one of the worst crowds but last year on average they had the 5th best crowd attendance, it’s just because the stadium is massive and it looks like there’s no one there. But everything else you said e get and agree

Thats a massive increase on their actual average. In fact the 2 Magic Round matches against the Cowboys in 20221 and 2023 are the 3rd and 4th highest wver "home" crowd attendances the Roosters have ever had. Like, that only happens from a club that is trumping up its numbers.

That Panthers v Broncos game was one of the greatest games I've seen in a very long time. My team is South Sydney, but seriously, get out to Vegas if you can. Greatest ball sport there is! Also, the Manly Sea Eagles team ain't nothing! Boo 'em!
