He was later listed as 5' 11"¾ , Larry Merchant said he was closer to 5' 9" than 6 feet. He once said that Mike was measured against Sugar Ray Leonard, who is 5' 9"½ and appeared to be 1 inch taller. When he fought Tonny Tubbs he was listed as 5' 9". By the time he faced Tyrell Biggs, they showed that he was 5' 11" ½. But that was never convincingly shown, in the video he wasn't leaning on the measuring wall, he was one or two steps ahead.
