Thanks brother! I filmed this before I went on shift last Wednesday. I’ve got three more long days then I’m free lol. I took holidays for most of September, so I can enjoy the backcountry. Have a great day!
@@loufarzetta2080 Hi Lou! Thanks brother! If you check out this video, it gives a very detailed breakdown of my kit. Although this is an extreme case scenario. I’m sort of following how some military personnel use a tier system. ua-cam.com/video/bZ8sJj3VDhw/v-deo.htmlsi=Z571BxxeDfa7sOvk

That’s a nice, tight, well thought out kit. That would be perfect for hunting. I usually reserve the realestate on the chest for a holster. But, it’s all a comprise. Great video. I’m taking September off, too.
Oh awesome! Enjoy your September break brother! The chest rig bag is a trial run right now. I like to try different load outs and then share my opinion on whether it’s a practical option or just hype. Normally I only wear a chest rig with a ruck or LBE with a ruck or a small belt kit with a chest rig and ruck. Different seasons all play a factor into it as well. Thanks for the comment!!
I think also the forest implants an optimism in us by its honesty of just being there and getting on with things, the silence and calmness I suspect was part of Jesus wilderness prayer walk experience to a degree, so we are in good company when in the wilderness alone under God. Harry
I have always used an LBE since I exited the Army back in the 90s. I have a couple lbe with padded belts, one I put together and one I just recently bought from Grossfire .
@@garycase1790 We are currently at the end of the season for ticks. I did find one on me after this hike. May, June, and early July are bad times for ticks. If I was out during that time I’d have over a dozen on me. Stay safe brother!
@survivalcommando This channel seems to be doing much better with growth and audience for only being a few months old. Nice to see hard work and effort going that way my friend!
Walking in bear country without a 🔔 or weapon and with short sleeves - talk about getting taken out, living dangerously. taking the dogs helps alot though, but not against ticks, mosquitoes and such. I'm glad more people don't get out in the woods much- the new Canadians don't appreciate the country they have come to.
@@trooperjinthewoods4538 It’s finally getting to a good time of the year where mosquito populations are minimal and ticks have pretty much run their course now. I normally carry a firearm but didn’t today as the black bears have lots of food from blueberries and such. Have a great day!
Thanks for taking us. For a good walk Scout. Good advice too. Makes me git off, my buttinski. Cheers 🍻 bro.
Haha right on brother!

Good point. I usually stop carrying a handgun after the bears go to bed and the lakes freeze. It’s nice to ditch the extra weight.
