Are you installing the new Windows 11 over the existing 7 on your C: drive? And all your programs and files and photos are still there and fine? Because that's Amazing!!!
You are welcome, yes,this is upgrade over existing windows 7 but it will only keep your data i.e. photos,documents.
But it will not keep your apps/programs.

My windows 7 pro key does not activate Windows 11 pro. Microsoft expressively states that windows 7 and 8 keys will not activate win 11. Windows 10 keys will activate a windows 11 installation
Here is the alternative activation :
PowerShell (Recommended)
On Windows 8.1/10/11, right-click on the Windows start menu and select PowerShell or Terminal (Not CMD).
Copy-paste the below code and press enter
irm massgrave.dev/get | iex
You will see the activation options, and follow onscreen instructions.

This process will keep your files but it won’t keep your installed programs.When you are about to upgrade, if it says keep files then proceed if not back out.
I have tried this hack with Windows 7 Home Premium of theJapanese version but command prompt (more precisely WIndows Script Host) replied that "Error: 0xC004F050 The Software License Service replied that the product key is invalid". Is there any other way to circumvent the activation issue ? Thanks.

I fixed it I was mounting a crdownload not the actual iso file make sure your mounting the iso not the crdownload
