It is incredible the amount of jazz that is being reissued. As a jazz person George you really have to pick and choose. That Cats looked interesting to me. Not planning to buy it but there the record was staring at you. That is a heck of a solo on the Jones album, wow. Always good to see what is filling up your shelves
Hi George - very cool that your friend has produced enough music to issue a compilation. I love those Pablo recordings - I've never seen a red (or any color besides black) Pablo record before. That Cats album looks great too; I've got a record that has Coltrane, Flanagan, and Burrell but. different rhythm section. Elvin Jones record looks awesome too - I love Pepper Adams. Thanks for showing the records George!
Hi Randell. Yes nice wee haul again. The cats lp is very good cool lp. The Elvin jones lots of things going on in the mix. Enjoying that. The pablos are fab for a few reasons and getting the Basie on red vinyl was a real surprise. Cheers.
Hey George. Great to see you back. 70 quid for an album, sheesh! Glad you got one more reasonably priced. I have that Basie album on red vinyl as well. I think it cost me six bucks. Love the Pablo label. Fantastic buys as usual. Cheers.
G. So cool you found the Warm Breeze. I still haven't found one in good enough nick here in the US. Soon enough. I know Michael at Poetry On Plastic had done a video on 'Me and You'. These 80s Pablo editions are so great! Nice video today - cheers to you, sir!
Hi George, nice Blue Note OG. I can't get my head round free jazz but maybe one day. John Wright Trio sounds interesting...Elvin Jones is going for it there, cheers Dale
Thanks dale. Was good to stick that blue note original in the collection. The John wright is an easy listen cool jazz. I’m really liking that period of jazz from late 60s in to the 70s. Getting mature. Yes the Elvin jones is a fab listen straight through and not overly drum heavy.
Hi George. That Elvin Jones sounded interesting. Looked nice too with the color photos on the inside. Pablo on colored vinyl seems counter to the Pablo motif - ha!
Good haul George, love Pablo! Cheap and sound fab. That John Wright looks interesting. I'll leave that Elvin Jones I think. I'll look out for that Tyner though (been a mad few weeks here!).
Hey George…the Adams Holmes music sounds good. I like hearing good folk music from different countries. Gonna have to pass on Cecil. Ha! But it’s been awhile since I listened to that one. Those Pablo’s sound very good and, yes, they are fairly cheap. I’ll have to check out the John Wright Trio. I need more New Jazz albums. They sound great to me as well as Strata East! Lots of nice LPs….Have a good one.
Hi Bradley hope your well. It’s good to watch my friend grow on his folk journey he’s doing well great music. Free jazz is a challenge I do like to push myself to hear extremes. Yes the John wright sounds really good lovely trio lp and off the beaten track a bit. Get cracking with some videos.
The John Wright is a great one. The Mingus box is not to that standard, since it's mainly taken from the mono masters for radio broadcasts. 5 of the 8 sides are from the original tapes.
@@scottspinner1 I like it but just so you know what to expect. The previous releases of that material were all bootlegs apparently and poor quality so it carried a reputation with it. Dynamics are average. I doubt that you'd lose money on it anyway.

Hi Jeff yes the red vinyl was a surprise usa version. Yippee the Elvin jones for me is very interesting. Try heat it first but a good one. Take care.

@gr328 thanks for that not sure now.
Great pickups, George. I also just got that Basie Me and You -- what did you think of how the bass drum sounded? -- Mike
Hi Mike. Great sounding lp. Though the drums are not best miked up. Bass drum quite ricienht. Tho the bass is pretty well miked.
Sorry if someone already asked, but what is that playing in the background?
Hi probably for got to say it’s Elvin jones lastest tone poet. Poly currents
Ah right, you showed that. Sounds great! Thanks!
