I’m so glad we got to see Dan’s first day using a computer mouse
I'm waiting for them to learn they can use the keyboard 😂. Literally dying watching Dan painfully scroll around and struggle to backup and read a sign 🪧
Okay, but @frodo you have such a clever combination of name and profile pic, that I just had to acknowledge it.
Goddamn this made me laugh
Lol, a spambot just used your comment as a reply to one of mine. They're learning, used to be they just commented stuff like "nice" or "I love it".
I watched him play several games from Sierra what's that janitor space man game again🤷
Here's a "language hack" to tell Portuguese and Spanish apart: if you see a tilde (~) over an "n" (ñ) it's Spanish, but if it's over an "a" (ã) or an "o" (õ) it's Portuguese.
Also Portuguese has the “ç” whereas Spanish doesn’t
also, portuguese doesn't have 'y'
@@cenowador the Spanish word for "and" is literally "y" so that should make it obvious
I am Brazilian and can confirm, those are nice hacks!
😀Thank you stranger. Years from now, people from the future will study random comment sections to learn what we were like. Unless It's all erased when youtube goes down...Wouldn't that be sad?
dan put it so perfectly, there's about 4 different "fandoms" for this one channel and everyone wants them to play different games. they do an amazing job trying to satisfy us all. We love you guys and appreciate all the effort you put into making us happy 💙
Yeah thats probably a pretty accurate assessment.
I second this. Thank you grumps ❤️
The retros, the newers, mainstream stans and obscure one off hunters. 😂
one of the many reasons I love them cause they try their best to please everyone. the grump bois 💕
sums up every lets players.......im in the "PLAY DAN GONE RON PA 2" fandom
Episodes like this remind me how much thought Dan puts into game grumps. He explains the intricate factions of the fanbase, reminds the editors to put in the chill music, he comes in proposing a 2-minute time limit so Arin doesn't stroll down dirt paths all episode... professionalism
This isn’t intended negatively at all, I just think it’s really interesting how far things have come; it’s absolutely wild seeing this observation about “professionalism” now when GG originated specifically as two buddies on a couch yelling at a TV. It was very intentionally not what it is today.
Reminds me of Wheel of Fortune where Dan had to force arin to not spend a whole minute trying to solve the puzzle every turn
Great point. His care is palpable and so consistently impressive
@@Ferrant621 It's true, GG and the other projects came very far along, in part thanks to Dan but mostly thanks to Arin business genius
Don’t forget he took the time to give us the definition of coniferous trees
The Nashville one 9:33 was funny bc as soon as the map loaded Arin zoomed in on a big van that had Nashville written on it in bold colorful font lol
Oh! I thought that was just scribble 😂
How did you notice that and not the combo Pizza Hut Taco Bell?
Dude did you hear his voice? Like it was an old friend and he had his arms outstretched ready for a hug or something "Tacobell!!"
I think that was metro center. Looked like it anyway
To be fair that thing with the subway was a mind fuck.
I love how each geoguesser episode has the added gimmick of Dan being dropped in the wilderness everytime like survivor man
i'm *ecstatic* for this new installment of "WHERE THE FUCK IS THE FUCKING FIELD!?" followed by our favorite segment: "Is It Florida?"
With your hosts, Arin and Dan!
I actually lol’d at this because that’s exactly what I’m here for
No palm trees, so definitely not Florida. If there's even one palm tree there, you bet your ass it's Florida.
Oh look Pines Trees! Pacific Northwest obviously! No where else has those
@@benderbendingrodriguez420 today he learned conifer.
“we have to do a nuzlocke!”
that will go over horribly and i’m so excited for it
Just said the same thing ! I'm very excited to see how it plays out
Can't go worse than mine did.
@@RabblesTheBinx It's Game Grumps, they will do worse than anyone
@@RabblesTheBinx Nice subtle self-promotion.
That'll be the funniest eight and a half minutes ever.
Glad that learning it’s okay to move around hasn’t totally spared the Grumps from the horror of miles of empty fields.
FUTABA SAKURA WHAT DA HELL ARE YOU DOIN ON THE GAME GRUMPS CHANNEL!? ATLUS CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER SPONSORSHIP...
Aipo
You bet your sweet bibby their cursed with those fields like their cursed with awful rolls in wheel of fortune
@@Nekomania Only Danny is cursed with that though. Arin regularly gets 6-10 spins in a row that are fine, he's just bad at guessing.
I checked the comments before starting the episode just to make sure they move around! Thank you ❤
As a norwegian, nothing is funnier to me then hearing Dan trying to pronounce "Skadedyr"
I found the Trondheim part hilarious
I gasped when they got Trondheim because I used to work in the building were the mentioned the "english shield" lol
Yeah, kinda figured he was way off.
Yoh wassup
I was screaming at the monitor as they slowly scrolled over to Sweden. It hurt my heart but made me laugh.
Arin: "If it looks like America, it's Australia"
Truck: "NaSHvIlLe"
classic gg
Yeah. Nashville South Wales, Australia. Duh.
@@Psianth there’s Nashville South Wales (NSW), Queens land (QLD), Northern Tallahassee (NT), South Arkansas (SA), Texasmania (TAS), and Western Alabama (WA)
I go by that specific section of that street, too. XD
And they’re driving on the right
Dan: Looks up and a doesn't notice a gov't building with flags.
Arin: "Now what you wanna do is find a sign or a truck."
19:35 Laughed so hard I saw spots when Danny was chasing the truck “come bAaCk!”
Dan: "Man people must get excited, just seeing us roll through their hometown."
*Dan and Arin land in Connecticut*
Me: *Doing Leonardo DiCaprio Meme*
thats how i felt haha especially when i saw the license plates and they started saying washington and i was like NOOOOOOOO
If they looked at the tiny blue mailboxes they would've gotten it almost immediately
i've def seen a neighborhood that looked very much like that, not near Middleton though
Connecticut-ass suburb, blue license plate, grey state police car... my nutmeg booty was clenching.
Hahaha I knew the moment I saw the slate cop car, and started cackling when Dan said Washington
“putting our heads together but at high speeds” is such a good quote, you can work with someone but if you don’t compliment each other it can go way worse than doing it alone
Me at work when I get put with the stupidest people vs when I get put with the epic ones
@@tophatcat9996 too true, i don’t work with anyone now but i think we can all remember high school projects like that
Arin while reading 出口: "That means eeeexiiit..."
Me: "Oh hey he got it righ-"
Arin: "entrance"
Me: "Welp."
huh, could have sworn those kana mean "Christmas Tree next to Table".
@@miguelnewmexico8641 close, its actually Menorah Bookshelf
@@jallen091 AH! good to know, that will save me some holiday time blunders in the future.
at least he was playing geoguesser and not driving through there
The fact that Dan got Russia correct and it's still on the other side of the planet is just absurd. Russia is insane.
Also weird that Finland and North Korea are only separated by one country.
@@spindalis79 Okay that just exploded my entire mindbrain apart
Yeah Russias got like... Ten different time zones or some shizz
Thank you
To most of Europe, both Russia AND America have far more land than any country realistically needs.
Hearing them yell "Skadedyr!" was amazing because it means "pest", it translates directly to English as "Harm animals"
“Harm animals” 😭
Dan getting landed in a field repeatedly has some real Wheel of Fortune bankrupt vibes.
"Let's look into the driver window for some hints. They got arms, Coke. Hahaha!" *both ignore the steering wheel on the right*
I love it.
Someone make a super cut of every time Arin has started a sentence with “listen, Dan…” followed by what was said next. I believe this has potential.
(Arin misses the Nashville truck) "Yeah I can understand that."
(Danny ignores two giant flags) "Ok hold on"
y'all know that if you unselect "default settings," you can turn on a time limit, right? And if y'all have a second computer, you can play multiplayer, which gives you both the same map, so one person doesn't get hosed with 3 wheat fields in europe, while the other guy gets 5 city center signs. I play with a group of friends semi-regularly
I really appreciate this chilled out vibe music too its so relaxing. Add this to the old sleepy time grumps playlist
Just a note for the Grumps, the easiest way I know of to tell the difference written Spanish and written Portuguese is that if there is any letter *other* than N that has a tilde (~) it's Portuguese.
Yes, and if there is an alone "y" is Spanish, for "and". Portuguese uses "e" for "and"
but what about Brazilian and Portuguese?
@@miguelnewmexico8641 Brazil and Portugal both speak portuguese, the major difference between them is on the way of speaking. In regards of writing there isn't that much of a difference, maybe some grammar here and there but I don't think it will help on geoguessr
@@miguelnewmexico8641 ...Really?...
Yeah its all about 'y' and 'e' ! That is the ONLY way I can tell the difference. South America is the hardest in Geoguessr for me, being English.
“Caja nacional de salud” aka some sort of national health center. Dan: “that’s where that make their salads”😭😭😭
Seriously, right in front of my salud?!
I'll see myself out...
@@LadyWervyn lmaooo huh?!
@@syefye4329 Sorry, very low hanging fruit, I had to do it. Have you heard of the "Right in front of my salad" meme? He thought "salud" sounded like "salad." (also, sorry if you already know that!)
@@LadyWervyn nope! That’s why I’m a tad bit confused lmaoo
Whoa... I can't believe the Grumps spotted my arm while I was working in the Munro van. What a small world.
I hope you're not lying, that'd be absolutely great
I don't believe you for a second, but I really love that you said it anyway
Nice try, amphibian
@@dropkickpherby6994 yeah, who does he think he’s kidding? Frogs can’t drive trucks
@@ActualHumanMigz what would the odds be? 1/8 billion?
Not gonna lie, Dan's attempt at "skadedyr" was just too dang adorable for my Norwegian heart. Something about native English speakers attempting my language is just so wholesome to me
That’s really sweet.
It is absolutely crazy that they managed to find an intersection I drive through literally on a regular basis, and I didn't even recognize it.
Always expect the unexpected
Until you did
Right? I had that happen one episode I was like :0 holy shit
Same thing happened to me in the first video. The Rochester ny road is like 10 minutes from my house
"It turned out the word Methodist was too long to fit on the sign. I just put 'Meth Church.'"
"I see nothing wrong with that. Great job."
"Sonic colors breaks constantly"
Cut to no glitches at all yet
If Arin watches this, he'd be like "that didn't age well lol"
Yeah, but game is extremely boring :/
They probably patched it before they started playing it
@@matthewvazquez4455 It's just that the reported glitches were from a broken emulator and not an actual copy of the game
@@trapbuilder2283 That's hilarious,so the game was never broken in the first place.Arin trying to slander Sonic, im not surprised.
When Dan was scrolling through the map looking for Trondheim, I love that Arin got mad at him for basically doing what Arin does in every Wheel of Fortune episode, stalling for time while he figures it out.
"Did a tree just invent itself?" - Arin Hanson, 2021
Fun Fact: When Dan was lookin at Bolivia he was a few streets away from a building that says "Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia".
I love that Dan interacts with technology like an old man
They still haven't t learned how to play two player or set an actual time limit 😂
@@lookoutforchris I mean I'd say the onus of that is on Arin, since he's actually played in his free time. If it's a game Danny has literally never played outside the show, I wouldn't expect him to know that. He likely doesn't even have his own account, they just play on Arin's.
@@Manigeitora to be fair the "controls" for this "game" are just using the most popular gps on the planet. Usually I agree though.
"Putting our heads together, but at high speeds" got me cackling
"Sometimes when it looks like America it can be Australia..." except they drive on the other side of the road. Thats your big hint.
Yeah, I was expecting them to say Canada. lol
Also I think we only very recently got Taco Bell, at least from what I've seen in Melbourne
And the van they zoomed in on says Nashville on the side of it 😂
@@whatswiththisnewhandlesthing Cuz Americans are gonna know that....
@@whatswiththisnewhandlesthing Taco Bell has had a rocky time in Australia. They tried to open here back in the 80s, but had to change their name due to a trademark dispute with an existing restaurant called Taco Bell's Casa (very similar to the Burger King/Hungry Jacks dispute). They didn't last long. In the late 90s, they opened a bunch of restaurants here in Sydney, usually attached to a KFC (same parent company). They all closed down by the mid 2000s. Then they came back in 2018, this time in Greater Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Yes, Dan, it is very exciting when you guys roll through our towns. Specifically for me, when I nearly spit out my coffee upon realizing that you were two blocks away from my place in Trondheim : D And Dan did such a good job, remembering that the å is Scandinavian
As a spanish speaker, "las chompus, who is that?" was the best part
So who is it?

I genuinely enjoy a LOT of Game Grumps content. But even beyond that, Geoguesser content is delightful.
Facts
9:33 "Sometimes if it LOOKS like America it could be Australia" *Arin gently passes over a van that reads "Nashville" in a stupid layout*
though, kudos that he still actually got it
Arin missing the truck that said "NASHVILLE" made me mad 🤣
Came here to say the same thing! 🤣🤣
I was yelling at my screen
Dan missing the big sign saying "Norge/Norway" was pretty maddening as well
They missed a huge American flag before and said Denmark
Yes! At 9:34.
Arin: "hmm, what's a fertile part of Italy.."
* Goes south*
"Sonic Colors was released, it's horribly glitchy, it breaks constantly, and I cannot wait to play it."
Looks like someone counted their games before they grumped
LOL! That variation of the turn of phrase deserves more likes. Well done!
They say that they recorded Sonic Colors later the same day they recorded this, lol
Dan: "We thought it was cheating to move around, but now we know better"
Arin: still doesn't see the challenge mode and clicks on single player for vs.
@10:50 When Arin said "it gets cold enough the trees die" I was so confused because it hadn't clicked with me that since California stays warm, the trees don't die. I'm from Oregon, haha
9:34 Arin literally zooms past a truck with "Nashville" printed on the side so he can look at Taco Bell
Dan be like "What the fuck, I can't get any signage here!"
32:10 legit the funniest thing I've seen in a while. It's the middle of the night to so I had to hold in my laugh. Started fucken crying and shit
Hell yes I love this game, also I'm part of the fan base that doesn't care about what games y'all play cause you guys make all of them fun 😊
same
Hell they've done episodes where they don't even play a video game, like the riddles ones, and I fucking adore those. I am here to listen to two friends having a good time, everything else is secondary to that. It's why I don't get upset when Arin is bad at games, either.
I like it when the grumps do games like this. No complex things to accidentally be forgotten about in the heat of the moment, no weird bugs to make Arin angry, just two guys chilling out and having an overall good time. With the Backstreet Boys still being back, it's just a nice time.
might just be me, but I find it odd they don't notice when cars are driving on the other side of the road. Especially when Arin said a place could be US or Australia.
Or when there was a fucking Lada on the highway and they didn't guess Russia until they saw cyrillic
@@66hayloss66 true, but to be fair I wouldn't expect them to know what a Lada is. Or even be able to tell what the difference is between cars in different markets in general.

i just love how they read the norwegian signs! this really is fun when its somewhere familiar
@Leia Maria robot.
As soon as I saw the building design of Arins third round I instantly said “west of Scotland…” it’s an architectural thing…
I'm so glad that they're doing more of this. I love this as much as wheel of Fortune.
I - love - that Arin said "it could be Canada" at the same time I uttered the same words outloud. Thank you for picking up on that at the same moment I did. This is why Game Grumps is here to stay 😀👍
Every time Arin says "I/You did get points" it brings me back to "Did you point?" and I just crack up.
DID YOU POINT!?
👉
Arin: Sonic Colors is so broken, can't wait to play it.
Ah, I see this is before they started playing it and Arin started acting like someone in a toxic relationship, swearing to Dan that "It IS broken, I swear, give him some time!"
If they plan on playing the Diamond and Pearl remakes like Arin mentioned, definitely looking forward to that, Gen 4 is also my favorite! Also I’m glad they’re playing this a different way this time, it was fun before but now it’s even better
Seriously I've wanted them to do a nuzlocke forever. Can't wait for there to be a pokemon that Danny names and gets really attached to and then it dies.
@@Manigeitora that would be perfect lol

Watching Geo Geusser really drives home just how "human" we are, you know? We tend to focus on our differences, but something about geogeusser really gets one to think about all the similarities we share.

This is the lofi Game Grumps content I tune in for. Perfect for long haul of homework
I can already imagine the huge mob with torches and pitchforks in front of the Grumps office whenever they release a video that isn't Super Mario RPG
That huge mob is just me. And I was just holding a hoagie.
As soon as I saw Tunica, I screamed “That’s Tunica, MS, the Las Vegas of the South!” My family used to visit there sometimes cause they loved the different casinos.

"It's vertical like corn but I don't think it's corn."
as someone who grew up in the Midwest getting lost in corn fields every fall and who's favorite vegetable is corn, I was unreasonably upset that Dan did not immediately recognize it as corn, but managed to calm myself down by remembering not everybody spends hours on end just researching corn out of boredom while sitting in a cornfield.
edit: my cousin said that all they have in jersey, where Dan is from, is pollution and sadness, while we here in the Midwest have corn, wheat on the highways, and gourds to keep ourselves occupied
I wish the grumps would just play what makes them excited. I think all fandoms can agree that the grumps are at their best when they’re just legitimately having fun. Sonic, Mario, some random unknown game? Doesn’t matter what they play. I watch for them having fun and laughing.
I feel like this is Dan's first time using a mouse 😂
Can we actually maybe ditch the time limit? I think part of the reason we enjoy these is because they've got such a chill vibe and the time limit kind of makes it a lot more stressful...
I love these kinds of games, trivia and guessing games and stuff, bc its like we can all play along with them from home and it's so chill and fun
You see it all the time, but it's still not enough. We love you guys. Thank you for all the content despite the 4 fandom factions constantly infighting.
A really good way to also be able to tell where you are is the mailboxes! The Connecticut one gave it away from that, the different color mailboxes underneath or next to the regular ones are for different newspapers!
And it's actually really cool to see a place you're about 20 minutes away from in a video, greetings from CT!!
“You are entering Old Yeldham”
*aaron has blood starved beast flashback*
If anyone else is curious, I googled state license plates. Washington has one that is blue on bottom, white on top. Connecticut and Minnesota both have license plates that could match the colors they saw in minute 29. West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Arkansas also have blue-on-top followed by white then yellow, but the shades are different. A LOT of states have a white-blue theme, so if you come across that license plate you should seek additional information.
I had paused the episode to write this comment. Dan covered it literally a minute later. Ha.
The moment when Arin tells Dan he's all the way zoomed in is the same feeling we get watching them play pretty much anything xD
I really love them pronouncing Spanish lol. Loving the episode. "you gotta get some solucion" hahaha. Love from Mexico
9:24 That one was so crazy to me because I immediately recognized that area. I used to go to that spot years ago all the time for lunch back when I was going to Watkins College in Nashville before it went bankrupt and got bought out. Had the same enthusiasm as Arin did over that Taco Bell lol

Speaking from experience, Nashville is less of a city than a "ville". In fact, Memphis is more of a "big city" type area than Nashville. Interesting how many assume since it's the capital, Nashville must be rather urban.
"we can't have 5 minutes of us strolling down a path"
Literally 30 minute episodes exist of Arin walking in circles.
