- Hello all, This was one of my best afternoon outing this season. After long day of work, I decided to head out after a big rainfall and it sure did pay off. Lots of wild coho got caught and some keepers as well. It never gets old to catch and look at chrome cohos!

I’m 68 years old, and we, my dad and me, fished every weekend either the vedder or the cahalis rivers, way before hatcheries, and after, I now live in the kootneys, soon before it’s to late! I’m coming back down hopefully next year, and try to relive some amazing days fishing with my dad! ❤️
That’s so awesome! Hopefully you can come down and enjoy again
Awesome video, great job!!! This looked like a great day indeed....and not shoulder to shoulder. Beautiful fish. 👍
Thanks Paul! Always nice to fish at a quiet spot
Amazing video! So many fish in the afternoon!!
Thank you!
Great video!
I got a plan to go to fishing there in July from Seoul. I can not wait for it!
That’s awesome! Let me know if you need info :)
Fantastic video and chrome coho’s 🤙. Great job. Tight lines 🎣 🙌
Thanks! Beautiful fish man
awesome , see you soon on the river ,great job
Thank you. See you out there!
Crazy video 🔥 and great handling of the fish!! I’ve seen a lot of videos this season of people handling them incorrectly.
Thanks!!
Excellent videos!!
Thanks!
Lucky to live in the lower land area. Good fishing. wish i can go fishing in these beautiful places. i am from Edmonton, the cold city with no salmon.
Yes it’s a blessing! Definitely love it here
Great video! Keep up the great work🎣
Thanks!
Nice video! Are you fishing upper or lower? Nice seeing you at first Light the other weekend.
Thanks! Nice seeing you too. I’m fishing lower. Will head up now
I almost always use jigs for coho. The produce the best. Versatile and hold fish well on barbless hooks because of the horizontal, upright stance.
I keep it simple and low cost. I shove a 2.5 inch hootchie on a half ounce jighead.
Silver and pink is bestbfor me
Right on! I ll try more next year
Good job bro! Keep grinding 👏
Thanks bro!
Hello, I'm planning to go here again this Saturday, what kind of fishing rod body will I throw, is it a fake or a float team?
I think the vedder will be blown(not fishable) on Saturday. I’d throw something big if you are still coming down
Why only keep the hatchery ones?
I'm from Ontario, so I'm not too familiar with hatchery vs wild salmon regulations.
The regulations here in bc in my region allows me to only keep hatchery coho. It is to provide angling opportunities and to protect wild fish(coho)
I fished the Vedder hard 1975 to 1990, the runs were HEAVY and lasted forever.
What month and time of the month were you fishing here if you don't mind, as I am thinking of coming down from the Interior and visiting the Vedder this year.
TIA
Reticuli
Hi! Wow I bet those times were a lot better on the vedder. This is mid October. Mid October is probably peak for cohos. End of Sep would be great for chinooks
Thx for the great content man! Where is this spot located? I got skunked this sunday on the vedder canal bridge and keith bridge basically didn't catch anything on the vedder. any tips?
First light and light light will increase your odds!
Awesome video , where did you get your wadder and boots?
Thanks! I got it from Fred’s and custom tackle. Simms freestones and korker boots
Nice video 📸
Thanks!
Nice Video
Thank you :)
Any chance you would provide your location on the river?
Will there still be fish if I go this week? Or where to go best...
Please let me know! Beginner here!
There will be fish this week. Less fish but less people. I’d try lower and work your way up :)
Hi what is the best time for this place and where is there more salmon?
Best time would be first light and last light. The vedder is not fishable right now. Choco water
@@Go2fishingbc Hello, I'm planning to go here again this Saturday, what kind of fishing rod body will I throw, is it a fake or a float team?
Is this the lower river or the upper
Lower
What spot is that called on the vedder
It’s not hard to find…
We fish the same river, yet I fish in another dimension? Wtf the no catch dimension...
Can I come visit and fish with you
Come find me ;)
Why expose these kind of rivers to the public? No hate or anything but I’ll never share river names in the public because of the amount of people that end up trashing the spots
Vedder river is the most pressured river in BC. Its no secret river
