Drobeta Turnu Severin is beautiful and the park looks so nice. It´s no wonder your son loves it so. I think l would love to sit at one of those tables and play chess (having just watched the Queen's Gambit on Netflix) even though it´s been over 20 years since l played. I would also like to sit on the lion..but that drop is scary. The Danube has me reminiscing about our visit to Budapest. Great video!

Thank you for the kind words! The city is indeed beautiful - living in a place makes you kind of get used to the beauty... but working on this video showed me that it is indeed a beautiful one, with much more to offer (in future videos). I am sure our son would love to have somebody to play chess with - his parents are not really good at it (nor do they really like it, hahaha).

Thank you! It was great to finally see some of Drobeta Turnu Severin and the Danube! That was a very nice park. I think I found the spot where you crossed the railroad on Google Maps. Ahem! Ahem! It looks like someone crossed the tracks when the lights were flashing. I won't tell. I know how long it takes for Romanian trains to arrive. That ship Mehedinti still goes out or is it permanently attached to the restaurant terrace?

You do have a good view on both sides of that train line so yes, somebody might've crossed it while the lights were flashing :) The particular ship with the restaurant is permanently attached, but there are smaller ships that can take patroons on a short sightseeing tour. There are plans to improve the area (although there have always been such plans) so hopefully everything will look even more spectacular in the near future.

I like your jaunty cap--makes you look like you drive a Jaguar XKE.;-) Who did the cute art on your son's mask? Were we ever that young and energetic? So much energy! Scary drop from that lion!!! Sad that your son will be stuck with climate change. When do you expect snow? Pretty deserted. What time was this filmed? Do many folks try to beat trains at crossings? I didn't see a gate arm drop--did I miss that? Looks like river front could be better developed. Does that boat do dinner cruises? (Yes, everything is topsy-turvy during pandemic.:-() I'd buy a couple of surplus Russian hydrofoils and do cruises and even scheduled services to big towns and cities along the Danube (thinking long-range to Belgrade and Budapest, if navigable). Enjoyed the video--please keep 'em coming!!!

A lot of energy, indeed! The mask was bought with the model - we try to keep his as colorful as possible :)
It already snowed in parts of Romania, but it's difficult to say when or if we'll have snow here. Last year, I think that the first snow was in March (which is a very unlikely period for snow). The climate is indeed changing.
The railway crossing indeed has no barrier of any sorts - people in cars will always stop. The boat doesn't do dinner cruises and there are none I know of that do. Tourism in this area is unfortunately underdeveloped - the closest place for a river cruise (or dinner) is across the border in Serbia.
