We stayed in Sozopol for 4 weeks last summer. Actually Bulgarian history is amazing. The Thracians were an ancient European population that equaled the Romans and Greeks in power and historic relevance. I loved the pagan remnants you can find everywhere, especially Beglik Tash, but there is so much more. I think one could spend 6 months in Bulgaria just visiting the most stunning cultural heritage sites and would not be done with it. It is a shame that most people only come for sun, beaches and cheap beer and are totally oblivious of the stunning history of this country!

I am Bulgarian and I have visited many countries with beaches such as Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Sri Lanka etc but my favourite sea destination is our Black sea, we have great sea, nice weather and best food. Thanks for showing our nice country.
Great prices, unlike in Croatia where they rip you off with French Riviera prices (in Dubrovnik and Hvar even more than the French Riviera) in a country where the average wage is just 1/3 of that in the UK. I am going to Bulgaria again in September, to Plovdiv, Nessebar and Sozopol (plus a day in Sofia before flying home), looking forward to it, haven't been to Bulgaria since 2017 but it's a beautiful country!
Defiantly Bulgaria is More Affordable and nicer Food too ! a Nice Organic Raised Beef Burger in City of Burgas or Varna is only 15 Lev with Beer too ! thx !
Great video!! We was here a week ago it was 32 all week end off September , sunny beach was quiet but golden sands / ended up buying a villa so we will Be back didn’t manage to get to nesebar but can’t wait after the video Cheers
Thers a lot of traditional vegi dishes, although home prepared beat the restaurant any day of the week. A lot of those work great with the bulgarian yogurt(often with garlic), others are prepared with the white bulgarian cheese - sirene. So *tarator the watered down yogurt, cucumber cold soup, with dill, walnut flakes and not in the restaurants but traditionally with pressed garlic as well. *Fried zucchini, round slices rolled in flour and when done with frying you mix the burned oil and flour with yogurt and garlic. *Fryied eggs(sunny side up) with... you guessed it, yogurt and garlic. *Rice with sorrel/spinach/nettle and again yogurt. *Sarmy with yogurt, those are small wraps of rice etc in grapevine leafs(there are both vegi and with added meat version). *Banitza layered pastry with different varieties: with white cheese, or sorrel/spinach, or cabbage, or onion, or even potatoes. Then it could be sweet with pumpkin or apple with walnuts, cinnamon and dusted with powdered sugar. *Mish-mash scrambled eggs, but with white cheese and red pepper. Peppers *stuffed with some kind of rice mix, *stuffed with white cheese, *Fried dipped in eggs, rolled in breadcrums, could have white cheese inside again.*Beans could be thick with onion like a salad, thin like a soup, or a bit thicker like a stew. Bunch of mushroomy dishes like *mushrooms in butter. Etc etc. It's traditional Christmas eve to be a vegi diner with 7, 9 or 11 different dishes. P.S. not a lot of foreigners appreciate it but *French fresh are so good with grated white cheese.

Actually Nessebar is misspelled in Latin and this leads to a funny mispronunciation of the name. Trust me... The correct name is Несебър (in Cyrillic, Bulgarian) and pronounced as close to Nes-seebŭr (the stress point is on the second syllable). The city was built at 5th-century when Thracians and Bulgarians started to live together at Balkans. By the way, Sunny Beach is just one of the many major tourist destinations along the Bulgarian coast. It is worth going south even after Sozopol, where you will find unbelievable lagoons with amazing scenery and enormous natural dunes of sand.
I'm Bulgarian a native from Ruse across from Gyurgevo but I've never been in Romania. Our country house village is right at the border with Romania in Dobrudja but originally my great grandparents were born in the neighbor village which is 3km away in Romania they were kicked out by Romanian authorities in 1940 to move to BG cause they claimed to be Bulgarians so we never took our own farm land & house from Romania. All the village in Romania are Bulgarians but they claime on paper to be Romanians not to get problems. My great great grandfather was robbing & reketearing Romanian colonists in Dobrudja cause they were weak not native given our own land taken from us by Romanian authorities. My great grandfather was a kid at school constantly with his child buddy beaten for speaking Bulgarian at school so they killed the Romanian teacher with rock & knife visiting him at home at night & had to run to Bulgaria to be raised by relatives & in 1940 both came back in the village when we took S Dobrudja & piss on the grave of the teacher so thill he & his buddy were alive & in the area the teacher's grave was always their personal toilet!

Thanks for the kind words and the nice video about my country!!! Well, since you're cool, I'll let you in on a little secret. You showed Nessebar, but if you go there, you might even see where Sylvester Stallone's house is ... in Bulgaria. In fact, a large part of Hollywood celebrities, led by Dolly and Arnold, do not fail to enjoy our Black Sea and resorts... Others of them love the mountain, like Antonio Banders, but that's enough of the secrets for now....😉
Great that you liked Bulgaria! But actually all the places you visited were expensive for the Bulgarian standard! Next time you can try with less touristic destination and you will be completely shocked 😂
Nesebar is not the oldest city in Europe... However Plovdiv claims (with some solid backup) that it is the oldest city in Europe. Also, a bit further north, close to the city of Varna is the place where the oldest (so far) golden jewelry has been found... And a pretty complex culture/town for the time period.

@21:10 Bus from Nesebar to Sunny Beach? That's like 500 meters walk isn't it? :D Joke on the side, the vibe of the video was nice I enjoyed it start to end. Good luck in your future travels!
If you come to the north sea, for example Shabla, you can get fried potatoes for $2, fried fish (tsatsa) for $3,5, 900 grams of clams for $4,5, 500ml good beer for $2.. so for both of you, your launch with the drinks will cost $14! And that's at the beach!
Nice video! Plovdiv is by far the oldest city in Europe and one of the oldest in the world, having been founded about 6000 BC. For comparison, Athens was founded about 3000 BCE, that is 3000 years after Plovdiv. Varna, the main Bulgarian city on the Black Sea coast was founded around 4600 BC. That is where the oldest gold treasure and jewelry in the world was found dating 4600 to 4200 BC.
Nesebar is part of Bulgaria since the yaer 809th a.d.,when our ruler krum the dreadful remind the byzantenes to pay the annual tribute and they refused,so krum said than i will take nessebar(it was called mesemvria back than)...krum is famous with doubling the teritory of the first bulgarian empire(681-1187) and that he made a drinking cup of the head of the bezantene emperor nikiforus genikus and drank wine from it,he killed not one,but two emperors on the battlefield, because nikiforus son stavrakius, became emperor after the battle ,but died from battle wounds, his father nikiforus ,famously said during the battle"even if we had wings no body lie himself we will escape with our lifes from here......before the battle(battle of varbica pass)krum offered peace but the emperor rejected it,than krum answered,"when you ddot want the pax(peace)you will have my axe.....we captured from the city more than 30 syphons for shooting the byzatenes secret weapon, the so called greek fire, wich burns even on water

Thank you for the video. ❤Are you Irish? I can hear the lovely Irish accent.❤Many Irish people moved to Bulgaria!❤There's a mini-train between Nessebar and Sunny Beach. The distance is not big.If one loves walking, they can walk between both resorts.
Hi guys, I love watching your easy to follow and most enjoyable videos and I’m thinking of visiting Bulgaria myself now. I’m always amazed at how many people are going around the world full-time. A bit of a personal question but how do you guys sort earn a living, obviously you won’t make a fortune out of UA-cam, do you go online and make a living that way? Probably on Amazon Like a nomad I Believe it’s called or do you have a business going in the UK obviously you don’t have to answer but it would be great to know how these people manage to travel around the world. as I would like to do that myself, cheers many thanks, Steve.
I like how videos make for my country are made in the same parts of this ,, country" - Sofia , sunny beach, Sozopol. Come to Shumen , Razgrad , Sliven ...
What would they do there? Tourists go to touristic places. When you visit France do you go to some obscure towns instead of Paris? Or do you go to some random town in Sicily instead of Rome or Milan? What would a foreign tourist that has never been to Bulgaria before do in a place like Razgrad?
Dear, the city on sea its not called Nessie bar, its not have american transliteration, its one word, Nessebar. Don't hallucinate and make all cities with special names who re on american. Nessi bar hahahaha. She is still sure its that. On bulgarian is Несебър. I love go to St. Konstantin and Helena, and Sunny day. Bcoz they have intelligent visitors, main russians, germans and many many other. I prefer bcoz near twins hotels near Sirius have thermal water and expensive massages, but too there is best beach, who is very good for kids. We was enter on 5-7 meters and the waster was still near our knees. Sunny day in just continue of same beach shore of Saint Saint Konstantin and Helena. So i have many emotions and good memories from kid and i was make best parties on Hotel ,Coral on beach. I love too Sozopol, but there have new part of houses and cooperations. So Sozopol and Nessebar have good nice view in the city but for beach is not ok. Only rocks and algaes. Like also Chernomorets. So i love Gradina. But camp Gradina is not 1/4 beautiful and clean like Konstantin and Helena. So i adore water and canals station where we was stay free bcoz my mom as work there. My kid's years was full of memories how our mom wake me and my sis in 5-6 o clock am to breath sea oxygen. All our white t-shirts as full of water and our nipples was transparent. Lol. I member good practices on all hotel, free fun zone where all and we was play games. I was leave beach at 8 with big power of my mom palm. If was possible i will live there. Its amazing! We was have best memories. All my friends girls as sleep with any who love him. I was not bcoz I'm not b...ch.
The old town of Nessebar is truly part of the cultural heritage and is under the auspices of UNESCO. But if you really want to see the oldest living city in Europe, come to Plovdiv. It was declared the cultural capital of Europe. And soon an ancient national treasure will again be exposed before the eyes of the citizens of Plovdiv - the Panagyur golden treasure and if you are lucky you will visit the valley of the Thracian kings.
Officially, oldest city in Europe is Plovdiv, again in Bulgaria. Supposedly continuously inhabited for like 8000 years, since 6000 BCE. Stara Zagora, just an hour away, has neolithic caves 8000 years old. Greece is all full of cities older than some nations altogether.
I've just watched the video , Samantha is Nesibar as much as the gent , bit of a let down to hear that the Gent is Vegan-Vegeterian . Here is the advise , you can go to the restaurant , tell them you don't eat meat/animal products, and you want same stew like her only veggie ,or pan fried eggplant/aubegine with herbs mushrooms etc.... - they will do it for you . Cost you nothing to ask ,instead of stuffing yourself with dough or etc. :)
The prices in Bulgaria for everything are higher now than in Western Europe! Previously when it was dirt cheap, it made sense. But I wouldn't go there now, unless I had a very specific reason for that...

Hello, You've made a fantastic video! Actually, Plovdiv, the second-largest city in Bulgaria, is the oldest city in Europe. :) You both are amazing! Keep up the great work.
Please, just say it right. Несебър. It is a harsh word, and a strong one. Ne- sE - bAr if you will. Sunny Beach .... It is Sunny. I am glad You have liked it. You better stay in Nesebar, haha! Take care!:D
Don't get me wrong, no critisism, actually on the funny note: the lady ( sorry it is my 1st video watching ya, so don't know your names yet- i will watch the rest of the videos :) ) you sound like you are saying '' Nessibar '' , ''Nesi 'like from loch ness :D and bar like bar/pub , so try to pronounce it like : first part of 'ne' is the same , then the secon E is like for electicity but the most important will be the ''A '' ,pronounce it like for UP , it sounds crazy but that's how's supposed to be : E like for electricity, A for Up : nEsEbUr, and if you can try the ''r'' like for Rocket: you will be trully Bulgarians :) BTW Hello from Isle of Man

We actually visited that place, but we didn’t include in the vlog. It was very nice.
Много,много интересно !
Каква загуба съм инкасирал,че ходих по юга....
Гледам клипове и отзиви и определено съм бил в заблуда!
Actually, you can walk along the coast from Nesebar to Sunny beach, it is not that far, especially in the evening under the cool breeze.
Oh that sounds lovely 🥰
good vibes
Thank you 🙏
Coming to sunny beach Friday night so be there sat can’t wait
Yes. I think Nessebar is much more interesting than Sunny beach
Thanks
Our pleasure ❤️🤩🇧🇬 thanks for watching
Good to share prices in different values as l will visit soon, thanks
Оф, всичко хубаво, но името на Крум поне да беше написал с голяма буква. И не само то ...

Love sprats small fish fried in batter delicious
Plovdiv (another town in Bulgaria) is the oldest town in Europe, not Nesebar.
Thank you for the video. ❤Are you Irish? I can hear the lovely Irish accent.❤Many Irish people moved to Bulgaria!❤There's a mini-train between Nessebar and Sunny Beach. The distance is not big.If one loves walking, they can walk between both resorts.
Next time you should check Sozopol and the near islands. Same old spirit and a bit more to look around.
❤❤❤
Thank you 🙏
Going on 5th sept, cant wait !
Nessebar is not the oldest town in Europe. Plovdiv is.
Make me you're fan.
Had to click i live in Nessebar😂 i'm seeing a lot of vlogs from here what is happening😅
Plovdiv, Bulgaria is the oldest town in Europe❤
Thanks so much for watching ❤️ we absolutely loved Nessebar it’s beautiful 🤩
Oldest city in Europe is Plovdiv it has been around for 6000 years
Пловдив е на повече от 9000!
Математика....
@@radoslavpetkovчудесен си, благодаря че ме поправи.

Sooo, You saw Nessebar. Now can You imagine that the second largest city in Bulgaria
Plovdiv is like this?
Hope you liked it
We loved it thanks so much ❤️
Officially, oldest city in Europe is Plovdiv, again in Bulgaria.
I heard something only yesterday, I think it was on a QI clip, that San Marino is the oldest town.
Although Google reckons it's Plovdiv in Bulgaria.
Yes we have read articles also claiming other places are the oldest too. It’s hard to know what to believe 🤣
@@El_SmegheadI‘m quite sure about Plovdiv too
San Marino is the oldest country, not the oldest town.
@@vaultkeeper2 Ahhh that explains it! Thank you
The prices in Bulgaria for everything are higher now than in Western Europe! Previously when it was dirt cheap, it made sense. But I wouldn't go there now, unless I had a very specific reason for that...

You both are amazing! Keep up the great work.

That’s so cool…❤️
Please, just say it right. Несебър. It is a harsh word, and a strong one. Ne- sE - bAr if you will. Sunny Beach .... It is Sunny. I am glad You have liked it. You better stay in Nesebar, haha! Take care!:D
Will I see you again in Poland??
Yes definitely we will return to Poland 🇵🇱
@@GoTimeTravels I'm glad you are nice smiling people, always welcome in my country 🇵🇱
Don't get me wrong, no critisism, actually on the funny note: the lady ( sorry it is my 1st video watching ya, so don't know your names yet- i will watch the rest of the videos :) ) you sound like you are saying '' Nessibar '' , ''Nesi 'like from loch ness :D and bar like bar/pub , so try to pronounce it like : first part of 'ne' is the same , then the secon E is like for electicity but the most important will be the ''A '' ,pronounce it like for UP , it sounds crazy but that's how's supposed to be : E like for electricity, A for Up : nEsEbUr, and if you can try the ''r'' like for Rocket: you will be trully Bulgarians :)
