You will never get bored in your hut at nights. One more thing to make in your spare times.
Great skill to have, thanks ,I will use nettle and flax for this, when summer comes
Me: knows I'm getting married now and not going with my original survival plan for my life.
Also me: takes notes anyway just for fun! 🤓
you are a good instructor, thank you
Thank you for watching!
Oldie but goldie! Have you ever tried making cordage from stinging nettle? My first try was pretty good but now the material always breaks. Maybe I should water it like you do with your yucca.
Amazing!!
Exelente buena idea
Hope to see more videos.
I just made some of this. Thank you for the information and video!
Excellent! What material did you use?
@@ChadZuberAdventures Hey :) I used Yucca leaves I collected from my friends garden. I made a little square basket first and then saw your video on cordage. And I'm gonna use it for some rope handles on another basket. I made a jar of soap too. Can't believe all the uses of yucca. My cordage is really neat, I'm so pleased. Thanks.
@@mipueblo7042 Wow! That's so awesome! Yucca is one of my favorite plants. I use it all the time for cordage and shampoo.
@@ChadZuberAdventures I've made 3 baskets now. My pup chewed my cordage but no worries I'm gonna make some more. I think the yucca plant is also my favourite. There's loads of dry grasses here in Spain to twist into rope. Thanks for the inspiration.
Do a safety skills video for southern California, such as deadly animals/insects, heat, disease and dehydration. Anyway, great video!
Very good video! I understand better how it's done now. :)

Chad buddy como estas? Its been a awhile since we last spoke... Donde te encuentras y en que aventura andas.
Luis R. Villanueva Hola Luis! Todo bien amigo. La semana pasada estuve en la selva de Chiapas, México.
Henry, Jesus Loves you brother. Don't hate it will only make you bitter! Besides, I'm fat with a career and my own business...👏
I was wondering how you made your cordage.
Very nice! How durable is it?
Bens I World It's quite strong. I still have to test it in the bow drill to see if it holds up when making fire.
Very. It's will hold up to moderate usage. It's root can also be cooked like a potato, and the whole plant can be used, soap, fiber, point traps to scare off coyotes and other predators, as well as female hygiene too! I am PATHMaker of LENNI TRIBE, we used this for years, it's a truely vertical plant. The Cosmo Indian's out west here have used it even longer.
Chad Zuber I am in Julian CA now, are you close to here? I would love to know who Schooled you on things. Loved to pick your brain a bit. Mac Tozer on FB that's an open invitation. Ttly
Lla te fuiste de México 😞
Juancarlos Recinossalas Voy a regresar!
This is where it all started..?
Basically yes. Making cordage is the first skill that I practiced a lot.
How do you twist the rope
With my fingers
Ok thanks
How do you make a giant rope
What is the name of the music ...?

There is a quicker way .
Navajo Auckland How?
Chad Zuber its a technique we call miro. Rolling 2 strand bunches of fibre on the top of your thigh using the palm of your hand to roll forward the 2 strands which you keep separate but they tighten into 2 tight strands of fibre. rolling back once towards your body joins the 2 strands into a twisted rope . takes practice but its hell of a lot faster, I haven't seen any links . but I'll look x
