Hey man I'm glad I was able to help you get it right. How have you been enjoying it so far? Thanks for supporting the channel bro, means way more than you think.
Don't forget to take the lens cap off before balancing. Also mount every accessories you need on your camera (mic/battery/monitor) prior to ensure that the balancing is done accurately.
this was so helpful!! especially the part you have to raise the camera up a bit and you can slide the 2nd axis left or right. for a minute I thought the axis was stuck
I really appreciated your lesson. I did watch some videos but it was no easy for me to get that. You are awesome buddy. Thank you so much for your tutorial.
Thank you for this video. Gave me a new way to set up / use my gimbal instead of the giant ring for this weekends event. Never thought to mount the monitor on my camera frame while on gimbal lol.
Sup Baka! Sorry for the late reply, I've been slammed with edits. Im happy you got inspired by that! The gimbal is made to take a beating so why not do it a favor! Thanks for supporting the channel man.
Im I doing something wrong at 1:50? Im balancing my bmpcc4k camera with the basic lens and its not tilting that far up like you have it here. I wish I could send a video or picture :/. If I move the plate back it would make the base plate to back heavy for the tilt axis.
Thank you very much for this. I noticed that adjusting the position for all angles is soooooo much easier for you. Even when unlocking/unscrewing the tighteners all the way, it feels like they're still engaged. Need to use a lot of muscle to slide the axis... is this just newety?
Hey Steve! You're welcome man, thanks for the support. Yeh you just gotta use some muscle until that loses up. that same situation happened to me with the DJI RS2 and it was a nightmare. now its pretty smooth.
I just bought this gimbal and am having issues setting up. I am also wondering how the joystick works. She the gimbal is powered, my joystick doesn't work. Does it need set up as well
I keep having an issue with my pan axis so I hope you can help me. When I turn the gimbal on, use the F button to center the gimbal or even when using the mode switch button, my pan axis is off center a bit, pointing the camera to the right. I have done the 6 side calibration plenty of times now. I have looked on reddit for info on this, I see 2 years ago people had the same issue with the Crane 2 and crane 3 lab but no one responded with a fix. I have several shoots at the end of the month and can't really RMA this. because from FEB 10 - Feb 20 is Chinese New Year and my first shoot is on the 24th
@@StickyValue ok cool bro! What menu is that under? Where would I find the option to change the degrees of the Pan axis? I’ve only seen options to make small adjustments to the pitch and roll. Am I missing something?
@@StickyValue ABSOLUTELY! Quick question; when i shot, there were a couple of moments of camera jerk and random searching moments. What mode should I shoot in to limit that issue?
My camera won’t stay where ever I put it an my adjustments are maxed out I can get it to stand up but at an angle it will droop idk what I’m doing wrong
Are you able to control the Z cam’s ISO, Aperature, and shutter via the camera controller input and using the usb-c out on the Zcam.? I’m not able to get it to work
Hey bro Right now I am using nikon d5300 with this gimbal . In the second step to shows how to balance camera lens upwards and body downwards. I try alot but It is not standing on a position . As I release my camera It comes to normal position (lens facing front and screen on back . It would be really helpful if I get a solution. By the way I am using my camera with kit lens and 70-300 mm
For my understanding that setup could be a little too light for the gimbal however, it’s very important to get that first step correct and the second step will be easier. Also having patience to fine tune the camera, and also use counter weights if needed. I will say there was many times when I didn’t balance perfectly and the gimbal worked fine.
Hey guys ! My Crane S stays on sleep mode even when I get it off and on (even if it's well balanced). So I tried to do the calibration but it stays on "waiting..." and never shows "STEP 1"
I couldn't still balance mine with a Sony a7ii. I'm fed up. I got the camera balance by turning it up ward but the last two balancing was the problem. I'm fed up
Hey Brother! I can feel your frustration. this sound like you might need more weight. Some of these bigger gimbals can require you to have a certain amount of weight on the gimbal to give the arms the tension it needs.
my Crane 3s after being calibrated manually, once turned on, vibrates with any calibration setting of the motors via the app. Is it a factory problem? I have found other users on the internet who have had the same problem but no one explains how to fix it.
Hello, My names is Bernard and i was viewing your Zhiyun Crane S3 and i am interested in purchasing but before i do i'd like to know if my camcorder will fit and work on the crane. I have the Sony HVR-Z7U camcorder and was wondering if this camera will fit and can be used with the Zhiyun Crane S3. If so i will be making purchase. I look forward to hearing from you as your help and assistance is appreciated
This was the most helpful and straight forward gimbal balancing video I have seen. Extra camera angles were great to see. Top job!
Thanks Glen! I figure we're all are most likely to be visual learners. so I wanted to make sure to bring something that supports that.
I agree completely!
I searched high and low for a video that I could actually watch and not be confused. Yours's is by far the best one out there. Thanks so much!!
This is a most helpful in-depth tutorial on gimbal balancing technique we've come across so far. Thank you so much. Sincerely appreciated.
Thanks bro I just got it you saved me so much time versus the regular video that comes with it. Just subscribed

By far, your video is the best balancing tutorial.
Dam bro you just made my day. I'm happy I was able to help a brother out!
Literally the best video of How to balance a Gimbal that I've ever seen
The lifting up the camera to make it easier to slide the middle rail was a good tip. Always struggled with that thing.
The extra angles make it so easy to see what you’re doing!! Thank you!
Don't forget to take the lens cap off before balancing. Also mount every accessories you need on your camera (mic/battery/monitor) prior to ensure that the balancing is done accurately.
Totally agree the best video on how to balance a gimbal 100%
Quick, easy on point explanation! That's how it should be! Big thanks!
Very Good explanation in a short amount of time. 👍🏼
Legit, this was more helpful than Zhiyun's official tutorial videos. Thanks so much for this!
I wish I watched this vid 2 hours ago. Finally got it right. Thanks for saving me another 2 hours.
You rock! Love the way you explain things, makes it all so straight forward!
this was so helpful!! especially the part you have to raise the camera up a bit and you can slide the 2nd axis left or right. for a minute I thought the axis was stuck
this video was better than the Zhiyun tutorial!!! thank you!
I was missing a couple of steps. Thank you.

Thanks for the video. My camera (Panasonic DC-GH5s) couldn't balance until I added an extra weight (battery grip) to make it balance.
Incredibly helpful! Thank you

Can I work this on my Panasonic 4k camcorder and Canon XA 11 and BMPCC 4k?
How about controlling the camera or enable the rec button with this setup, Crane 3s + Zcam?
Tks!!
Thank you brother
What about the 6 steps calibration? How do you do it?

how long do the batteries last?
16hrs depending on the load you got on there.
🇮🇳❤️💥😘
Nice... but you balanced it with the lens cap on...
This looks easier than the DJI one
Does anyone know how to get the crane 3s out of standby mode?

Add extra weight with other camera accessories like lens or battery grip. It will help to balance it well.

Crane 3 balance with camcorder
Hello...so I read a bit and what I read is that there is a lot of movement with this gimbal...is that true??
That is false! if you balance correctly there should be no vibration.
