He's never called it a rabbit before, so what is that meant for? Not to mention the US rabbit pickup came before the caddy in Europe, so calling a US pickup a caddy would be incorrect...
Loving the build, some amazing work you are doing. What made me smile the most, was how your dad celebrated just as much as you when it started up. You cant beat a build, but doing it with your dad is priceless... you could see how proud of you he is. Cant wait to see the progress, one of the nicest builds i have seen
I love that pedal bracket, such a need job. For the steering boot, obsoleteUK do a heat wrap cover that will stop the rubber boot melting. Well worth it.
Pick ups rule , pick ups with bigger better and more are the most wholesome and correct pick ups , nice to see stainless nyloks throughout , done & dusted for good.hope you get it done and enjoy the summer ( both days ) 🍀
Go on! You're a Guru! Masters become, masters, they're not born! Great content! Keep up the good work Zac, she's going to be a sweet ride and one to be proud of. You gave a 40 year old car another 40 years of life. Well done 👍
Powerful father and son bond....I'm really touched. No doubt you'll achieve all your goals/ambitions with this project (you strike me as a deeply spiritual individual, it comes through in your sincerity/purity of your intentions). Congratulations, keep going!!🤙
that's some heavy sound deadening installed. I approve! 1st gen caddies can be a little tinny to be in. congrats on the sponsorship deal, man's on the come-up
Realy, realy like everything on your build. The modified steelies look great on almost every car, so also on yours👌 I'm very curious on your interior, wnich dash you put in......I would try to get the komplete TT dash/interior in👌 So......dash with the clock, konsol and seats. Use the doorcards from the caddy. Great build👍
Top job on the build. I also have a caddy that has been off the road 15 years. Not stood the test of time as well as yours. Lack of love on my part! Keep up the good work 👍
Nice watching your build Zak. Very thorough. Very methodical and you obviously take pride in what you're doing! One cool pickup! (Not as cool as mine though lol)
Well done. Impressed. I have worked in wiring. creating a whole loomb is hard. I used to have many golfs . Had r32 for a decade. Is this going to be rear or front wheel drive? Looking very smart engine bay looks very almost standard looking except for ugly plastic VW bottles. Reckon ox blood leather interior dark grey carpets. Where are you building this?
Love this build mate you make everything look so easy! Id love to do a mk1 caddy but lack the skill a knowledge to do this type of build. Il stick to mk3's!
hi very nice work I have an R32 in my MK3 I have a problem I don't have the speed information in the computer so I'm limited to 5000 rpm or do I have to connect the Pin54 to get the signal? I have everything working, I'm stuck with it
Hello Zak, hope you are well. I also wants to work on the same project and thsnk you for all the notes you've given on the video. I hope you don't mind Me asking. Which manual gearbox can fit on the R32 engine?
Zak I completed a 2.8 Vr6 conversion into my Mk2 Golf a while ago (over 10 years ago now! Got a slide show of it on my YT) and at the time posted on the Mk2Vr6 forum a fair bit which ended up shutting down, sad times. I had a little batch of milled Vr6 headgasket keyrings made by GruvenParts in the USA sent over for other VR6 owners. I have some left and can send you one. I'll PM you and can send to whatever address.
you make the best job ever and just l want to tell you how amazing jod you do and l want to ask you what is the name from your break lines because they look more easy to install l hope you can reply my messages l really pressured take care

I have to say. First beautiful build. Second… thank you for calling it by its correct name and not calling it a rabbit.

Zak that engine sounds unreal, looks so sweet this is going to be one of the best around.
Great work mate. Cherish the time with your dad..they’re not here forever, I miss mine .👌🏻
Nice job, glad to see it on the road for the first time in years. I can't wait to see it all done.
I would consider going for a brake pedal box to sort your space issue. It would clean up the bay nicely too.
So awesome to hear the 3.2 start for the first time. What was the wire that needed to be connected to the ECU to get it to start?

Didn’t know those VW pickups were FWD! What a neat lil guy
Nascar air intake grab air just below windshield . You could adopt similar solution
Install the 02j short shifter from Creations motorsport, which looks a lot neater and won't be close to the coolant bottle 👌
Thanks mate I’ll have a look if I can find it
