Hi, I would really like to contribute with some Portuguese subtitles to this video, as so to help you reach a bigger audience with Brazilian viewers, but unfortunately I can't seem to edit your English subtitles in UA-cam's tool. Is there anything you can do to change that? Great video collab and thanks for your hard work!
@@cutscenes1758 I'm used to working with a textbox provided in the contribution option offered by UA-cam, in which I can type in the subtitles and add them to the body of the video, edit their time length and so on. I will say that Nioh 2 is one of the most enjoyable and frustrating games I've ever played. It's teaching me to really learn the mechanics because I generally like to be aggressive all the time. You can't button mash this game. No way. So strategic. Fiercely hard but completely honest and fair. I played it when it came out, but I honestly didn't truly spend time with all the different variables offered. So I started it again a week ago and I'm enjoying it like it's the first time I played it. When you play a game like Ratchet and Clank, which is so easy - you just don't appreciate your progress and it becomes boring. When you're challenged, it's all the more gratifying. Kudos!
This was probably the best "behind the scenes" or "making of" I have ever seen for a video game. The way you edited this together and the way you were able to capture their thoughts and fears, made this an extremely insightful view into the process of Japanese made games and culture. Thank you for this video I throughly enjoyed it. And having purchased nioh 1 and loved it i am now going to order nioh 2 to support these talented and dedicated game developers. I can't believe I haven't done it sooner.
Team Ninja you've reached the Pinnacle of Nioh with 2 Congratulations on Crafting this Masterpiece!👍 You are on my good devs list and I look forward to your new ps5 IP
I absolutely love this video and I absolutely love Team Ninja. I doubt any of the devs is ever gonna read my comment, but I want them to know how thankful I am. I played Nioh 1 for over 1500 hours and I will play Nioh 2 for probably the same amount of time. The franchise Nioh has pretty much the best gameplay I ever had the pleasure of enjoying. And I played Dark Souls and Bloodbourne too. The movement is much more fluid, the combat is much more dynamic and varied, gameplay at the highest level is like a beautiful dance and portrayal of skill. If they were to ask me how Nioh 3 should look like, I could only give them pointers. Build upon what was done well. The gameplay for Nioh 1 and 2 have been AMAZING. The story in both was great but I feel like in Nioh 2 it's been even better than in Nioh 1. The graphics are one of the aspects that could be improved by a lot. BUT NEVER at the cost of gameplay. Sadly, a lot of the sales are dependent on graphics, so if Nioh 3 had the great gameplay of its predecessors with superior graphics... it would sell a shit ton. About the difficulty: Everyone can be satisfied. Make it easy and accessible to new players for new game. Then make it harder for NG+. And then make it much much harder for NG++ Way/Dream of the Demon is where the core of the game should really start to shine. Improving on builds, perfecting skills and memorizing enemy movement sets... Boss rush missions like Marobashi/The Tournament/Return of the Gourd MUST be in the game for the veterans. Make them optional and things are fine. The music and sound in Nioh 2 was also a big improvement over the first one. I don't know where a Nioh 3 could take us, but don't be afraid of trying new stuff while keeping the core intact. I loved PvP Skill in Nioh 1, it definitely adds a lot of longevity to the game. But seriously, the one thing I love the most is how they are in such close communication with the playerbase, and how they always ask for feedback. I wish all developers did that.
I cannot believe this was over 2 years ago. I guess time flies by when you're having fun because I still play this game to this day and continue to learn new things about it all the time. This could be my favorite game ever, easily high up there on my list of favorites.
I missed Nioh 1 completely but I've dedicated over 250 hours now into Nioh 2. Learning rhe mechanics and helping other players! Love the game and this video is awesome, thank you for showing this to me!
Nioh 1 & 2 have one of if not the best combat systems out there. Happy for the team's success and hopefully we'll get to see an even more refined Nioh 3 from them :D

Halfway through this game and it has been a journey made some good friends and had tons of fun! Thank you guys for creating this absolute masterpiece! 👹
The Nioh series are my all time favorite games, so many hours already on both games and still enjoying them a lot, I think I will only stop playing Nioh 2 when Nioh 3 releases :)

Nioh 1 and 2 are some of the greatest games ever made. Nioh 1 has such a fascinating intrigue behind its development..... from being based on an abandoned Kurasawa script, to being in pre production 10 years, I only wish we could have gotten a documentary detailing the process of its development as well. Here's hoping to an eventual Inside Nioh 3 👀

Fantastic work. There is a lot to unpack after watching this. I definitely think it's a pity that the sound director Yoshimatsu and Art Director Kaneko weren't pushed a bit harder in the west, they absolutely deserve more spotlight for their work. But it's great to see that Yasuda is aware of this importance and works towards this exposure.
I love this video and the work you do on this channel. Nioh 2 is a master class.

I enjoyed both games immensely, but as a fan of the games, I am FAR more concerned with simple balance changes than anything else, including the art and direction of the game.
For example, why would any Red attack from an enemy be shorter than the duration of your move plus the animation for countering? It makes no sense and runs entirely counter to the design of Nioh 2. Getting caught in animation times kills more characters than any boss in this game. No Red attack should be un-counterable. And, if you are mid attack on most things you can't do a darn thing about the Red attack... Slightly too far away? Enemy facing the wrong way? Low on Anima? Nope. No counter for you.
How about we balance up other weapons or down the magic ones?
Unlike Nioh 1, where the single sword users ruled, Nioh 2's endgame is 75 percent Magic weapon users. So much weapon diversity and you have to intentionally pick a weaker weapon weapon/move/buff/debuff archetype if you wanted to try anything else. The strongest buffs, debuffs, AND weapon damage is on ONE weapon type that also has the best move set?!?!?!?!
75 percent of Soul Cores are entirely unused. It's Kasha or GTFO for most players.
Nioh 1 had the big issue where in anything but High stance, you didn't even have the damage to kill things in the later difficulty. Nioh 2 addressed that in a good way but it's still bad.
Nioh 2 has too many enemies with I-Frame dodges, then some enemies that exclusively dodge or aoe stun. Looking at you bird lady.
Human enemies block too much. Like waaaay too often. If you do 108 in the Underworld without naturally gravitating towards a spam attack to break Ki, you've likely not enjoyed your journey. Counter skills in Dual Sword/Sword are super cool but the vast majority of the game is Yokai, so it's kinda pointless learning a moveset and stance for such a small portion of the game. It completely invalidates half of the Sword and Dual Sword trees. Again, much easier to spam attack Quickdraws than learning an entire counter system for 1 enemy out of a few hundred.
