All exotic quests should have optional objectives. One for PVP and a separate one for PVE, not both. Not everyone enjoys playing both, but most of us invest PLENTY of time to earn the exotics.
So just putting this out there but I have been using this gun for a week or so on the hunter and honestly I have to say that with stompys and spectral blades you can slide shotgun and get wall hacks super easily because sliding counts and crouching so when you hit a head shot you can see through walls. And the gun just synergies super well with the class and the slide shotgun tactic
This was the first setup i used and i love it i got a sum of all tears cleared a rumble match in 2:45 and it cant he called op you're just rewarded for precision like a true hunter
Kinda sad that the chaperone was kind of a skill based weapon that wasnt really made for everyone, but now it's kinda too much compared to other slugs.
Jordan Albee Yeah I know but its doesnt change how i feel about this whole thing. Lower range than gunnora's that recieves a massive boost wouldve been enough for the exotic. Just like it used to be, precision kill then snowball, not fucking click on someone at handcannon range and end their career
astro baby What do you mean ‘duplicate exotic’ The only way you can get ‘duplicate’ is when you got all the exotic and just wasting marks on the Fated Engram.
You can’t get forsaken exotics from fated engrams, since you have all of the vanilla exotics, you’re gonna get duplicates literally every time. It’s not worth it
Treat it like a hand-cannon. A very large... Close-range... Slow rate of fire... Hand-cannon. That uses special ammo. Also - the damage falloff on shotguns is crazy, once they're out of range, you'll do next to no damage at best - any further, and the projectile just kinda... disappears.
The range is especially jarring on the Chaperone. I think it's 16.5 meters for a sure kill, 17 for low resilience, and by 20 it's only hitting for 36 damage.
In 20 years of gaming, nothing has been quite as satisfying as getting that crispy headshot and following it with the Schwarzenegger reload flip from Terminator 2.
I was watching this video while traveling to the tower and was like “damn, I wish I could have the Chaperone.” When I landed, Amanda Holliday calls me up and boom there it is. You’re a dream maker fruity boi Edit: the quest not the gun
Destiny PC aiming is one of those games where you don't realise how much easier it is on console sometimes. Aim assist is done so well in destiny, that I would do much better with a controller on my PC if I could get it to work as well as console.
@@hunterhaller4065 I'm Xbox and PC, but it's just destiny 2 where I believe I would do better with a controller. Any other first person shooter, and vice versa. I like how destiny just makes their gunplay so good that I would consider controller for both.
Mr. Fruit I have a challenge for ya. It’s called sword and sorcery. Knights (Titan) use Swords, Rogues (Hunter) use Bows, Mages (Warlocks) use abilities (ranged melees, grenades)
I was running this Hunter loadout in a strike that had the modifier that increased melee damage and regen. You get the "Playing with fire" going and you just. Throw. Knives. and you never stop.
I like the gambit test as well, it shows both pve and pvp aspects of the weapon in question. The showcase match at the start and then a Gambit video are the format i would like to see.
I love the shotgun and the gambit test. You charging into multiple Vex with 1/4 shield on a Hunter is SO TRIGGERING. [panting] But I love you Fruit. God damnit, I love ya.
The Chaperone was my baby back in D1. Seeing in D2 has made me so happy. I was so tired of using Goodbone Structure and First In Last Out. Only thing I hate is that they removed the Born on the Road perk that puts 2 back in the magazine for rapid precision hits.
Fun fact: with that chest piece and the brawler modifier you can throw knives at a constant, uninterrupted barrage. its pretty broken because it melts almost anything instantly. Add in solar singe and you can just delete everything.
Just unlocked my second new super, blade barrage, on my Hunter. Can't wait to unlock all the nodes and have fun with those throwing knives. Great vid, Mr Fruit. Also, love the Gambit review.
For primaries I'd say that keeping rumble would be good bc ammo won't be an issue for those, but for special and heavy weapons the gambit test would be my preference
For the Rumble Vs Gambit test: Situational, however if you can fit both in I'd love that! (Although I know that's a lot more time so probably best to keep it situational). Can always revisit weapons for the other test if there's enough demand
The gun really determines whether or not you should do gambit or rumble imo, just whichever one you think will shine the highlights of the gun better (pvp or pve)
This gun in Destiny 1 got me the most clutch play in my life and got me and 2 friends to the lighthouse. But thanks to the PS4 fucking up, it saved a clip from an hour ago..
I feel like it should be situational. If it's a great PvP weapon then do Rumble and if it leans more towards PvE then do Gambit.
Unless it’s a heavy weapon. Then Gambit, always.
Exactly, I think Chaperone doesn't need a Gambit section.
(Haven't finished video yet)
The chaperone is sooo good in pvp in the right hands it take a bit of practice with it and it is nasty frfr
Its a pocket sized sniper lol

Casekitty 284 I couldn’t agree more
This was the first setup i used and i love it i got a sum of all tears cleared a rumble match in 2:45 and it cant he called op you're just rewarded for precision like a true hunter
Tigerblade exactly, if you miss this headshot you’re kinda screwed😂😂
Man, i was wondering how you could get that spectral breads stuff. Thx for the tip
I can't do the slideshot thing because my controller is kinds broken...
That shotgun is pretty *THICC*
I'm like 99% sure that's just a re skin of the chaperone from Destiny 1, Right?
Well. . .I'm an idiot.
you're sexualizing a gun you sexist! lol!
chilldude2000
It... is the Chaperone...
Fruit it kills from i think 15m nax
Just click their head lol
Kinda sad that the chaperone was kind of a skill based weapon that wasnt really made for everyone, but now it's kinda too much compared to other slugs.
@@frlfrl2098 it needs to be, otherwise there would be no use in taking it over gunnora's axe

After getting duplicate exotics three weeks in a row from xur, I got the fighting lion and it's now my favorite PvE weapon.
astro baby from what the weapons he sells cus that’s impossible fated engrams never give duplicates except if you have em all
astro baby
What do you mean ‘duplicate exotic’
The only way you can get ‘duplicate’ is when you got all the exotic and just wasting marks on the Fated Engram.
You can’t get forsaken exotics from fated engrams, since you have all of the vanilla exotics, you’re gonna get duplicates literally every time. It’s not worth it
I think what he means is that xur is selling things he already has

“It’s harder to aim on pc”- mr fruit 2018
Then you realize maybe your just not aiming
I meant didn't aim properly
Destiny PC aiming is one of those games where you don't realise how much easier it is on console sometimes. Aim assist is done so well in destiny, that I would do much better with a controller on my PC if I could get it to work as well as console.
As someone who has pretty much only ever played console shooters, I can confirm that this is true (for some people)...
@@hunterhaller4065 I'm Xbox and PC, but it's just destiny 2 where I believe I would do better with a controller. Any other first person shooter, and vice versa. I like how destiny just makes their gunplay so good that I would consider controller for both.
Keep the gambit test going!
MyGoldenFro gambit test for heavy weapons, rumble for primary and secondary
It mostly depends on the gun
"Wasasasa" -Fruit 2018
I'm hoping Mr. Fruit starts making the montage videos again. That would be great.
The 60 second review were awesome also
No one:
Literally no one:
Mr. Fruit: Fwassassasah
Mr Fruit has joined team hunter, what has the world come too?!
The new Gunslinger and Nightstalker paths are really, really good for both PvE and PvP and they're incredibly fun.
Mr Fruit is a very wise man.
to*?
Kill me please
Titan 4 life
Do gambit test instead of rumble. Or rumble+gambit
“No one jumps on console, that’s too hard” remember your seeds Fruit. Tread carefully
I enjoy the Gambit test, but I also enjoy the Rumble test. Don't make me pick DX
When ur in school but mr fruit uploads
Me to bro
Class is overrated, what Mr Fruit :^)
Meme Dream that is me right now
Same
Same
"Since I haven't played I may be at a disad...."falls to death... classic!
I used this thing so much in D1. I really wish they had made it a primary, even if it had been made weaker.
I love how the buffering circle fits perfectly with the shotgun reticle. Beautiful
Mr. Fruit I have a challenge for ya. It’s called sword and sorcery. Knights (Titan) use Swords, Rogues (Hunter) use Bows, Mages (Warlocks) use abilities (ranged melees, grenades)
your videos calm me.. I was feeling pretty worn out from school. Thanks Fruit.
I love the Chaperone!! And love exotic quests. But my god, exotics are actually exotic now!! Only had ONE drop so far!!
Great video fruit!
Which exotic?
Had only none drop so far 😀
Is it bad that I've had 5 drop so far? Lance, Colony, 2 new warlock exotics, AND sunshot. A bunch of those were from playing gambit
Veralium yes i both love and hate your RNG
the ratio of noises to words is slowly getting higher. very good. that is the purest form of emoting.
13:07 I can’t stop laughing 😂
Gambit Test is great. It gets us both the PVE and PVP perspective all at once.
0:01 I can’t get over that ship😂 I feel like it would always fly in barrel rolls
You still have some of my favorite demo videos. Super entertaining.
I just found your channel, and all of your videos are sick!
Hey Fruit, can you do 60 second reviews for Destiny 2 exotics, I loved those videos from Destiny 1?
You could say playing gambit was a bit of a gambit.
Wut...
12:48
That noise caught me waaay off guard. Good jump cut
4:40 "check this out"
thank you for making my day so much better with your throwing-knife-soundeffects
I didn’t realize how over powered knives were in PvE
Love the sound effects!😂👌🔥
Take a sunshot every time he says headshot.
This was my favorite gun in D1 and I'm SO happy it's returned better than ever
When he ain’t playing a sentinel Titan 😑
I was running this Hunter loadout in a strike that had the modifier that increased melee damage and regen. You get the "Playing with fire" going and you just. Throw. Knives. and you never stop.
2 Minuets!!! A new Record!!!!!
Shawn Thompson is that a datto joke
Maybe XD
I've been waiting for so long for this to come back
does anyone no if they'll ever bring back the last word
Know*
Maybe in jokers wild
Spoiler alert: Prince Uldren on his last scene did say "it seems you get... The last word..."
Finally a realistic weapon review, every other review I’ve seen you’d think you’d be invincible using this gun 😂
Is it me or is getting fruity in here😛🍇🍎🍉
I like the gambit test as well, it shows both pve and pvp aspects of the weapon in question. The showcase match at the start and then a Gambit video are the format i would like to see.
I love you and your videos but stop making that knife noise.
how you going to tell anyone to stop doing something???
I love the shotgun and the gambit test. You charging into multiple Vex with 1/4 shield on a Hunter is SO TRIGGERING. [panting] But I love you Fruit. God damnit, I love ya.
Your running commentary cracks me up LOL!
Dude Mr. Fruit please keep doing the Gambit test. It still allows for PVP but also allows you to show the PVE. Loving it man.
The Chaperone was my baby back in D1. Seeing in D2 has made me so happy. I was so tired of using Goodbone Structure and First In Last Out. Only thing I hate is that they removed the Born on the Road perk that puts 2 back in the magazine for rapid precision hits.
I will never be able to unhear "wah-sah-sah-sah-sah!"
I like when you do both! It's nice to see where the weapon really shines. Keep at it Mr. Fruit, love your vids!
Every time you did the “ha sa sa sa” sound effect for the knives I would picture maldamba from paladins lol
Fun fact: with that chest piece and the brawler modifier you can throw knives at a constant, uninterrupted barrage. its pretty broken because it melts almost anything instantly. Add in solar singe and you can just delete everything.
Man, seeing that Titan charging at you on 6:10 is scary lol
Both! Gambit and Rumble! More FRUIT!!
Fruit your commentary gets me every time. 😂
Just got my wisdom teeth taken out and my gum slit for another tooth, but I come to you immediately. Thanks for making me feel better
I'm loving the Gambit test; keep it going!
Love the Gambit test. Shows the gun off better
Ophida Spathe works with the triple knife
It gives you another melee charge and it is beautiful
Always love the commentary Mr. Fruit. 😂
This vid reminds me of the struggle when completing crucible bounties/quests because of how much I've been shot by it
i like watching mr fruit for funny tests and datto for serious tests
Mr fruit should make more vlogs. His old ones were soo gud.
Nightstalker with the sixth coyote with trust and chaperone is mighty fun for competing ! Happy hunting and remember to always bring a chaperone
10:51 the 1st place guy's clan tag on the enemy team was [SICK] and Mr. Fruit said it woulda been SICK, coincidence? I think not!
Just unlocked my second new super, blade barrage, on my Hunter. Can't wait to unlock all the nodes and have fun with those throwing knives. Great vid, Mr Fruit. Also, love the Gambit review.
Mr.Fruit was throwing like those knives 😂
Love the knives review
Whenever I need a good laugh I can always count on you Mr. Fruit.
I legit searched chaperon mr fruit last night and it showed me your vid from a year ago who knew you make a video today😂😂
Depends.
Primary weapons goes to the Rumble test and Secondary and Heavy weapons go to the Gambit test.
For primaries I'd say that keeping rumble would be good bc ammo won't be an issue for those, but for special and heavy weapons the gambit test would be my preference
Yo, I never even knew their was a dark theme for UA-cam until yesterday. Personally prefer light but I've been rockin the dark for the past few days.
For the Rumble Vs Gambit test: Situational, however if you can fit both in I'd love that! (Although I know that's a lot more time so probably best to keep it situational). Can always revisit weapons for the other test if there's enough demand
I used to be a Titan main, I even felt it at the end of D1, playing a Hunter is just too fun
Gambit for Heavy weapons and PvE weapons like malfeasance . Rumble for Primaries/Specials and PvP weapons like Chaperone
Beginning of video
Fruit: Knife trick is good
Later
Fruit sees a sentinel
Fruit: Feel my wrath
Fruit throws knife trick
One knife hits for 16 damage
I could only imagine this gun is just as fun as it was in Destiny. It was easily my favorite shotgun then and it was actually somewhat balanced too.
got home from school, saw mr. fruit, grabbed a snack and relaxed
The Gambit test makes alot of sense for alot of weapons. Keep it.
Fruit just for the future, the Shotgun Scavenger perk gets you 2 rounds instead of one for every brick. Works with heavy weapons aswell.
I enjoy the gambit test as it is simply fun to watch
The gun really determines whether or not you should do gambit or rumble imo, just whichever one you think will shine the highlights of the gun better (pvp or pve)
I love your gambit tests!
12:59 Literally me the first time I played the map too.
Love the Gambit test it's pretty awesome.
The sound effects of the knifes hahahahha
I feel like i want a bed time stories series. Your voice makes me wantto have good dreams 😂 like it reminds me of that human dude on the Bee movie
The gambit test is the best for heavys or pve focused exotics, rumble test for all other weapons
I'm loving the new special ammo pick up perks
This gun in Destiny 1 got me the most clutch play in my life and got me and 2 friends to the lighthouse.
But thanks to the PS4 fucking up, it saved a clip from an hour ago..
Anyone else not even play destiny but still love watching Mr. Fruit play
I am loving Gambit! and would love to see you continue!!!
Heavy weapons for the gambit test, and some special weapons. And rumble test for primaries and some secondaries would be a good way to go about it
The way the players rolls this weapon damn, that's it. I'm gonna force myself to get those 20 shotgun kills done because this shotty is brilliant.
