This song is hard to find and they only played it live 3 times that I know of. I have it on my iPod and I had to get it from the former bassist (Nathan). Kudos for putting it on youtube. It's a wonderful song and would have benefitted greatly from studio production. Everyone should get to hear this song, even in its raw form the way it is.
Well, no one is going to see them for a while since they're writing new material, but they did go to the north east on their tour. I know they went to New York, Philly, and I want to say Baltimore, but I could be wrong about that.
Yes they went all those places. Philly and Baltimore are too far away for me and i desperately, (i mean desperately) wanted to go to the NYC show..but i couldn't make it. But I'm sure I'll see them eventually.
I only got to seem them play this song live twice. I hate to sound like a name dropper, but I have been on the FTM bandwagon since the beginning. I went to high school with Darroh (known to us as Andrew), Cliff, John, and the guy that John replaced, Nathan. It is cool to look to look at where they are now and think back to them playing a shitty club in Greenville called Chauncy's (sp?). Their sound has changed so much and you know it's only going to get better.
Yeah this song would be hard to find, but thanks to Gutterth, they put it up on the internet for everyone to download (link in the video info). I wish i had the fortune of see this played live, i really find this an amazing song. I am a late-comer to FTM, and have yet to see them live (the dont seem to like the North East). But it is amazing to see their transformation from a small, avaunt-guard metal band to the art-rock powerhouse they are today. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
and we all know FTM are experts at doing that. my personal interpretation is that the song is about the dangers of losing what's most important to oneself.
jberry, ure from texas i presume? i myself got lucky enough to hear dance of the manatee a few times on music choice and immediately fell in love. anyway, the lyrics are great (and they explain the picture on the cover). i also here it from the highest authority (wikipedia:)) that the new album will be out within the year.
fair to midland are indeed very good at it and I think it's because of their lyrics, they're so... blurry if you know what I mean. System of a down have often been asked what their songs are about and they have often said: whatever it means too you.
i'm gonna try to put all the songs from fables including hcm onto youtube soon. all i need to do is buy the album and...figure out how to make the g*dd**ned video. kinda sad huh? a comment back as to how to do so would be appreciated.
yeah, exactly what I thought, and that's the way I like it, to leave something up to the listener and let him/her decide something in the meaning of the lyrics whether it is to himself/herself or universal, doesn't really matter.
i have windows and movie maker, but what i want to know is, where it says "insert media here, do you insert a picture or the music, and if a picture, how do you get the music in?
sorry, i bleeped out a swear. i'm a little bit too catholic for my own liking. anyway, what i mean is i can't figure out how to make the video. any suggestions.
Thank-you codfish you will never know how important you are!
Don't thank me...look in the video info and you can download all these demos thanks to Gutterth.
Get up... make a JUMP..choice. ...faaaaa

This has one of my favorite buildups in all of FTM's songs.
codfish i praise you for these songs
holy shit this is a gorgeous song...kinda haunting too

hopefully fair to midland can last 10 more years so we can conduct the greatest band in the rock hall of fame
why can't this song be shared that blows my mind

Which song off the carbon copy silver lining did this sound the most like? Like something like this but heavier.
genuis is a VERY acurate word. i JUST found out about these guys and i think ive just discovered the new definition of good music....
I freakin' rock to FTM everyday...

Isn't this supposedly their 1st song?

lol PRAISE GUTTERTH
Under "Import" look for audio/music and then just select the song you want. Same for pictures.

@DeanWinchesterRules The uploader. Someone was talking to him, but they didn't use the @ symbol, so i just saw "codfish"
@DeanWinchesterRules Yep! His voice has changed quite a bit.
i feel like they little soad
@pathos6296 It took me a few seconds to realize that codfish was his username, and at first i was like "WHA-?"
how do you mean? I can't see how the lyrics relate to Phil Schneider
they are on serj's record label (serjical strike)
yeah, got that down, but i'm having problems uploading the videos, youtubes saying i don't have the right format.
@TheUniverse101 ?? yeah they are
Try windows movie maker. Its pretty simple to use, (assuming you have a windows)
well after listening to it a couple of times the lyrics will be tatood to your brain
@i13m Not anymore.
It's okay, go ahead. My son
i know exactly what u mean, and i feel the same way. would it be safe to call these guy's geniuses? i don't think it would be too far off
man, even with the lyrics, i still have a hard time following along. you have to listen real close.
sorry, i bleeped out a swear. i'm a little bit too catholic for my own liking. anyway, what i mean is i can't figure out how to make the video. any suggestions.
buy the record.........
i must admit though, it's kind of hard to follow him even with the lyrics
I see, I thought something like that as well but it doesn't have to be political, I think it's a lot about self interpretation.
true... but Fables was...
@orphaeus99 Hi,. i`m from the future. Fair To Midlands newest album is way too mainstream.
It`s called "Arrows & Anchors",. I still love them though!
