You've definitely come far since the days of " I don't know where I'm going with this". It shows how you are planning your customs now and the quality has improved tenfold. Congrats!
I've been tempted to do a Flood inspired color scheme for one of my 40k armies, and in looking for references I ran across your channel. Very glad that I did, your content is great!
@@Mattycrafts I can't help but recommend, since you're using citadel paints anyway, that you pick up their Blood For The Blood God Technical paint, it has a really wet, glossy finish even when dry, so it'd be perfect for stuff like the poor marine and his new infection form 'friend'. That said, it probably wouldn't be too hard to make something similar by just mixing some gloss medium in with whatever blood color you want, since you'll need other blood colors for elites and the like. Also, any chance you could put a paints list in the description, too? It's not too hard to guess at what paints you probably used if you don't show them, but just a thought.
You are definitely the master of flood customs imo…sick diorama man😌👍 Edit: video series idea- you could go and make dioramas/customs of all the cut content from all the halo games. There are some crazy flood variants that were cut and some pretty cool vehicles too.
Your videos are really good you make a flood and make them into dioramas and videos they’re really impressive I’m pretty jealous also keep making these good videos of course I’ll always keep subscribing keep making more videos people will always keep making views and like your videos 😀😃👍🏻😁 so he is coming
Might be a little of a push but what about an infected wasp, banshee, or hornet. You could use any flying vehicle but those are the smallest ones to do
Hey matty, sorry for all the questions but i gotta ask, im done modeling my first figure and i need to know, do i need to add a base layer of black or white paint before i start painting or can i just paint it? And if so which is better, spray paint or brush paint?
No you don't need a black base coat on a figure unless you want to paint the entire thing which I don't recommend since this is your first figure, brush would be best and easiest for painting, I recommend tiny brushes so that paint doesn't get everywhere and you get the perfect details.
@@stuffandmorestuff7455 okay, i did a basic paint on an elite ultra to make a silent shadow, i did the black base and painted him red and my biggest problem is where i painted the joints when you move the elbow it scratches it off and shows the teal underneath, does adding the protective coating stop that or do i need to do something else, the paint im using is kingart acrylic, ill make sure not to paint my next figure whole next time, ill leave my brute the color he is and just color secondaries
So I would always do a base coat over green stuff and armor if you want to change the color( let’s say you are changing it from blue to red, the yes black base coat for sure) but if you are just making a flood custom like I did in this video, I didn’t do a black base coat

Thanks I’ve definitely gotten a lot better in the year or so, but I can go farther haha👍
Wow, I can't wait. It reminds me a little of that crows nest moc you made a while ago. I can't wait!
This is probably one of my best mocs😁 hope you enjoy
Me to I'm going to watch it later
Wo, how did you make the flood tendrils!?!?
@@animatorxstudios100 just thin wire and same green stuff at the end of them
Ok that's what I thought. I'll definitely try that it would be really useful for my stopmotions. Thanks

That part of the section reminded me of the library mission in HALO CE
The flood tank head fits SO well with a halo infinite grunt

Flood is my finest work, and I like that idea. Not sure if I will bet definitely something to think about
@@Mattycrafts for sure
Siiick diorama. I'm definitely gonna go make some more flood figures now.
Thanks, and I always enjoy making flood figures!
maybe a starboard panic, where a crashed UNSC ship is fending off a wave of flood, but taking heavy casualties in the process
Interesting idea I will think about it
Some Spartan head hunters would look wicked
I’ve made some in the past but I can always do more again
Chief got some muscles
Facts
Looks amazing well done!

Might be a little of a push but what about an infected wasp, banshee, or hornet. You could use any flying vehicle but those are the smallest ones to do
I did a banished banshee in one of my video’s but I’m always down for new ones, if I make a flood vehicle again I will probably do a hog or tank next
@@Mattycrafts you did? It might have gotten took down because I can't see it but I assume it looks great

Make a flood jackal and have its mouth open with the flood tenticals eye censer things coming out of it
I’ve kinda done that before, but I’m always down for making it again. Nice idea
You should try a small skirmish in shallow water
Maybe that idea sounds interesting for sure
Though how hard is resin to work with
Matty these are great but why do my balls hurt when I pee? 🕳👨🏻🦼
F for no flood in halo infinite
Sad times😭😭
If you haven’t you should make a flood infected hornet
I can add it to the list
@@Mattycrafts also what is that green stuff that you used to make the flood? like the name of it

Whats the clay stuff you use for customs??

Have chief fight off a scarab in the back of a pelican

I think you should do high charity
My next halo moc might be a part of it
