Lifelong BOBFAN. Loved the movie. Great performances. Is it accurate? Heck no but as a celebration of Bob's life and most importantly the MUSIC, it's GREAT!

As a long time Dylan fan now pushing 70 I had a similar reaction. Since I was hyper-aware of the historical chronology of almost all scenes it did get me disoriented when I found the narrative move significantly from actual events. I became distracted by these departures as I started to question my own recollection of the events (my memory was correct), especially surrounding Newport 65. However the Judas moment didn't bother me as much as it did you, I saw it as an understandable plot device to reflect the general reception of Dylan's "post Folk" period, same with all the Woody scenes which were really the retelling of folklore, but they were well done and quite moving so again acceptable to me. What took me out of the movie (fortunately towards the end) was the continued presence of Suze Rotolo after 1964. It seems like they wanted every storyline and thread to culminate at Newport. Dylan's soon to be wife was already pregnant with their first child at the time of the festival, so the Baez/Rotolo scenes seemed out of place. I wonder if Dylan, as he did with Suze Rotolo's name, requested his wife be left out of the film.
However, all that being said, I loved the movie. loved the performances, questioned some script choices but not at the expense of enjoying the movie as written. I think this will give newcomers to Dylan a fairly accurate idea of who Dylan was, the time period of the film was fairly well represented albeit thin. A great first step to understanding Dylan's place in American and musical history and why it should be known and celebrated. I look forward to watching it again once its streaming.

Loved the movie - didn't mind the creative license by the filmmakers at all.

Read also Peter McKenzie, On a Couch and 50 cents a day.
Dylan stayed with his family for months when he first came to NY. I appreciate these observations.

Sorry for being pedantic, but Scoot McNairy does have one line
    It’s “Bob! Bob! Bob!” 😂😋☺️
