This is Mitch yacking away about his petty observations. I'd like to hear more from Mark. And calling Bobby autistic is just silly. And he did not betray anybody at Newport. In fact, Bobby made the folk movement much more popular than it ever would have been. He owed them nothing. He just outgrew folk music.
I'm one of the few who did not love this film. The music is great, but I always think of how I felt walking out after it was over, and I felt like it was meh. Great review btw. I saw that interview Bob did on 60 Minutes where he says he has no idea how he wrote those songs. This man did not seem like a political animal. He was touched by some higher power, and wrote some of the best songs ever, but he is really not what I always thought of him to be. I actually like him more knowing this. End of the day , Bob Dylan was the voice of a generation, without really caring that much. Question, is Positively 4th Street about Pete Seeger?
Fantastic movie! Seen it twice already. Beautifully acted, directed, and produced. The fact that the actors performed the songs is mind-blowing. Thanks for the review, although I think Mitch totally misses the mark. Complaining about single lines in the film is absurd, for example. I could criticize Mitch for saying Dylan didn’t show up for a “Pulitzer Prize” when it was in fact the Nobel Prize, but I won’t be so petty.
I'm a fan of Dylan, but never quite understood the hoopla surrounding him. Teen idol? NO. Great lyricist, yes. But, then again, I'm more into the classic rock genre of the 60's and 70's and 80's. I wasn't into folk rock as much. However, I'm still excited to see this movie. I saw I'm Not There awhile ago. Cate Blanchett is amazing as Bob Dylan! I couldn't believe a woman portraying him, but it was excellent. I'll have to watch that one again.
"I didn't care what the lyrics "was" I DID! I am the same age you are and singer songwriters have been SO important to me. My friends and I would sit down with the covers, listen and pour over the lyrics. It's the words along with the music I connected with. I wasn't so much a fan of insipidly poor writing.
The guy on the left is annoying that I had to turn this review off. Dylan does have a distinct tone and voice and very easy imitate it 17:16 d the guy on the left is arguing with the other guy. Sorry you need to respect another person’s opinion. You dominated the conversation Goodbye
Mitch is talking too much about himself (cello lessons and motorcycle are way too far off topic) and about side issues...for example who was in the Byrds. Keep bringing it all back to the film you are reviewing. Start big picture - mention the great lead performances etc... and work down to picking apart specific lines of dialogue. Also I think it needs to be more balanced between Mark and Mitch and please be prepared...know the names of the characters for example. I need a couple guys like this doing good reviews!
We hope you enjoy this movie review from Mitch Brisker and Mark on this New Years Day. Please make any suggestions or comments below. Happy New Year!

Mitch needs his own podcast... a one man band

Loved the movie. Loved the review!
Glad you liked it!
Very interesting takes. The cast sounds great - big fan of Edward Norton. I'll have to check it out.
Thanks very much. I think you will enjoy it. We appreciate you watching our new show. It's not Scientology, but a fun diversion for Mitch and I.
@@MarkFisherandJanisGillhamGrady I'm loving it!
Great intro, the piano tune stays with you.
Glad you like it! I wanted something old time that sounds like the silent movie era. Thanks for watching!

Blah blah blah
