POV: Boxing Sesh Goes (Right) Wrong That guy was beating you up bad. Blood dripped from the bandages wrapped on your palm, and from your nostril. Your breath was shaky as you limped in your stance. Your opponent, however, stood tall and mighty with a cocky grin stuck on his face as he looked at you. “Come on, mon loup, you gotta be a lot more feisty than that,” Wriothesley teased jokingly, taunting you to come closer with a slow, beckoning hand, the wraps around his palm distracting you. “Mon Dieu, je te déteste…” You tried to land a punch, but once again, he dodged the attempt. However, when you fell to the cold floor, you kicked him in the ankle and swept him off his feet. Literally. He was knocked down, his side hitting the ground with a THUD. It was loud enough to worry you. You scrambled over to him, caressing his back to see if he was okay. He had a few bruises from the fall, and he was howling and groaning. “Holy f-” He was cut short with a wince. However, you noticed his tight fist and pulled away, saving yourself from that hit. “Damn, finally, you’re getting into it,” he laughed as he stood back up, but with that small limp of his, you decided to tease him. “It might cost you an arm and a leg, amour.” After hours of fighting, you’re both covered with blood and sweat dripping, and your bandage wraps being torn. “Let’s finish this cat fight right here, in the ring,” he muttered, but you had other ideas. “Let's settle this…” you whispered. (I was gonna make it say “in bed” but that would get me cancelled)
POV from diff Wriothesley playlist I made, thought it fitted this one too :) “It’s not everyday a non-criminal asks for my attention,” the Duke of Meropide said, lifting his feet down from his desk to focus on you. “Well, I wanted an audience and I got it from the one I wished for most.” Y/N walked closer to him, rounding his desk and letting her half-lidded gaze look through him. If Wriothesley sensed any danger, he didn’t show it. “It seems you’re not here to file a crime, are you?” “Oh I am. I’m filing my own,” Y/N smirked as a hidden knife flitted out of her sleeve and onto the duke’s neck. “You’re blood would be quite delectable as my first on the newspapers, Wriothesley.” He chuckled, no sense of fear in his eyes. Instead his eyes reflected his danger, his confidence. “What makes you think you’ll be the one striking blood?” Y/N raises her eyebrow as she presses the knife closer. But before she could let blood drip, Wriothesley swiftly grabbed her wrist and turned her around, pinning her to the desk with one hand. Y/N laughs sultrily, turning back to him with her dark red eyes. “I suppose not, Duke. Will you be arresting me now in those pretty cuffs?” He looked at her with a smirk and released her, “I think you’d be handy around the fortress instead. Work for me and I’ll let you share a bit of myself.” “As in blood?” Y/N said, turning around to face him. *“Whatever you wish, darling.”*
I've listened to this religiously for a few days now and I just wanna say...this is probably my favorite genshin character playlist, ever. The whole atmosphere is just so good, and the song choices paired with dialouge...chefs kiss :D I just love that this is more about his badass side and less about how hot he is cuz we have enough simp playlists for him already lol

POV (your new boyfriend suddenly doesnt have time for you...) (first person; cause Y/N isnt my jam) The office door creaked and the assistant walked in leading me into the warden's office. "Your grace, there is a criminal for you" Wriothesley raised an eyebrow as my all too familiar figure entered the room, in handcuffs. A helpless smile could not help but quickly flicker on his lips as I was ushered into his office, and the assistant could also not hide a knowing laugh, as she closed the door gently behind her. "So, *Traveller*" he stifled his amusement about my -once again sorry look - and tried to speak sternly and languidly. "What crime is it this time? A civillian arrest of a criminal with overly violent justice, even though we have public officers? Breaking public property? Rummaging in Trash cans? Breaking and entering into a house? " He paused. "... How come you are here every day? " Sighing, he leaned forward, and observed me slowly from top to bottom - and his silver blue eyes curved slightly, as if he liked what he saw. I could not help but squirm, but with him, you had to stay firm. And so I moved forward, courageously, sitting in the spacious chair across his office desk, a little lower than him, but either way with a straight back, keeping eye contact. I also did not know, but it felt exhilarating and addicting to see him every day, even if it was just to be scrutinized by his crystal eyes as he was thinking what to do with me. I felt crazy, but my adrenaline was pumping. Even though he could get out of here now, I barely saw him outside of his office these days... So this seemed to be my new daily quest for the near future. Committing petty crimes, just to see Wriothesley's face in work mode, in his office - as he seemed to be working a lot, lately. So instead of sulking, I decided to protest using other methods. Preparing my criminal pitch I cleared my throat: "Hrmm...it just happens somehow. Today...I think... I just forgot to return something valuable this time?" my voice trailed off as I was not sure myself, looking for excuses without repeating myself was pretty hard. "Or was that yesterday... hmm, maybe it was lurking around meropide fortress? ." I looked here and there "..nah that was on monday." "Is that a new talet you are developing?" he asked exhasperatingly "Committing crimes, just enough to get you in jail for a bit?" I smirked as I watched his helpless face. Wriothesley's brows scrunched as his hand cupped his forehead, as if he was seriously thinking about something, maybe of a good way to deal with me? My heart rate increased, and my insecurity grew a little more, as I quietened. "Is this why you asked such a strange favor in turn for helping me? No matter what crime you committed, I would be the warden in charge of you??" His hand raked through his wild hair, as he leaned back reaching our daily impasse. I shook my head. He tried to look strict but on closer observation, I noticed that his shoulders were shaking - as if he was stifling his laughter. "Ah.. I picked my prison cell lock today and escaped, trying to break into the common ward - I think! " remembering, I raised my hands , as if in defense, and my chains clinked against each other. Then I just turned my head away for a second, as I was thinking about more mishief - and suddenly Wriothesley was right above me, as he slapped a hand right and left on the chair, next to my shoulders, looking at me from above, still frowning... Leaning in, his voice tickled my ears as he seemed to have found a solution for my mischief. "If you like visiting my office so much, maybe I should just make a personal cell for you here." You could hear the smirk in his voice. "Maybe you should," I sassed right back, mouth quicker than brain "Since this seems the only way to see you recentl--" my words were cut off with the same vigor as him strutting over. "Ow..." My ear was bitten, then licked, and I tingled all over. His hot breath lingered in my ear as he nibbled on it. Shivering, I could not deny the pull, and my heart racing, as I turned to him. "What the...?" My turning lips were sealed shut as he greedily plundered my mouth with his tongue. Like waves, I felt swept away, melting into the kiss. Almost forgetting my initial goal. - What the hell was he doing, playing hot and cold? As he gave me a break, I whispered "Wait a second, - Leyley." This nickname made him stiffen up and scrunch his brows. He bit my lip. "You know I hate being treated like a child. You know you are playing a dangerous game here, so why can't you wait?" Sighing, I looked into his scrutinizing eyes. "Wait, for what?... its not like you saw the light of the day even once these past two weeks." This made him nod along with my words, and I blushed harder because it seemed like I was stalking him - but the next words I said made him lean back and scratch his head, seemingly fighting with himself for an answer. "It seems my new boyfriend just works in his office all day, and this is the only way to see him - so what can I do otherwise, than be at his mercy? " Now, my words poured like a waterfall - "Build me a cell, and lock me up here, why don't you?" His face hardened and he seemed to have made a decision. "What? What?" For a second I got insecure, seeing this serious face as he was gritting his teeth. In the next second, I was in the air, as he grabbed my waist, hoisting me over his shoulder.. Suddenly, a shelf of his office slid apart, revealing another room, and I gasped, as he entered, and I saw it for the first time. Compared to the dark office, this side room seemed freshly made and everything here light and warm - A view of sunlight and water. It just did not fit with the overall mood of the main office. It looked like... I could not help blush, as the big double bed in creamy white, lamps right and left entered my perspective. It was right in the middle of the room. "What the hell?" Crimson red, I struggled a little, as Wriothesley threw me on the plush mattress and the door behind us closed. The handcuff chains clinked as he pulled my hands over the top of my head and held my chin in his other hand, towering over me. "Do you like your new cell? Its not fully done, but I remodeled it just for you..." Realization and confusion struck me as his presence and scent wrapped around me, once more, but I did not fully know or realize what this meant, until. "You better stop breaking the law, or ..the next time you commit a crime, I *will* lock you up here, and punish you for your shenanigans until *I* am satisfied." Shuddering, I swallowed and, as always, my mouth was quicker than my brain as I sheepishly asked: "But what about this time...?" "You, really..." He chuckled, laughing heartily. "Why are you so impatient?"
As one of the commenters said, the voice line placement is insane. The lines at the start of 'what's up danger' sound like a movie trailer, that's so cool, literally gave me chills. In love with your playlists.
And I just found out that he, along with Sean Chiplock, voiced some characters in VeggieTales. Joe Zieja voices Dr. Flurry, Jesse, Emperor Envy, and Buttons Cremini, and Sean Chiplock voices Awful Alvin, Scooter, Scallini. That was a bit unexpected

I HAVE SOME THINGS TO SAY: I'm not familiar with Genshin Impact, and honestly I'm not sure why this was in my recommended, BUT I AM SO GRATEFUL I CLICKED ON IT! The art was what drew me first, and I was so happy to see the artist's name in the description alongside the character's name and what he's from. Thank you SO MUCH for all the work you put into the description because it is both well organized and so informative. Thank you!!!! Second, WHERE IS THE DIALOGUE FROM BECAUSE THEY ARE LITERALLY MAKING ME DOUBLE TAKE. I have no idea when they're going to pop up, but I'm grateful that no one at my house seems to be paying attention to me otherwise they'd be wondering what's wrong with me....The DIALOGUE though. I was wondering where the dialogue was literally from- a particular edition or version of the game, a trailer, or bonus content from the voice actors perhaps? But it seems like it is just the game directly... Some of the lines I couldn't picture actually being in a game because it would be too easy to take out of context, so I thought I would ask (unless taking it out of context is what the developers wanted...oop🤭). But yes, just wondering the origin of the dialogue. I personally would say no to timestamps though just because of the extra work I'm sure there would be to add them, but as a listener, it is really fun listening to the video and then suddenly hearing a voice cut through the song or into a break in the music. It's a very nice surprise to have not knowing when and how the character will add his thoughts, but those are just my thoughts. (Also thank you so much for the heart and the reply!!!! You're so amazing!!!! I'm a first time listener too so I'm trying hard not to freak out but thank you very much again for the content!💙💙💙)

I got no talent in medicine, inventions, or ship-making." The duke's voice made you pause as you bandaged his wrists after a boxing match between an inmate who had a hidden shard of steel stolen from the work area. The inmate was thoroughly dealt with, but with Sigewwine stuck with other inmates that left you, her volunteer helper from the overworld, to help Wriothesley. "What makes you say that, your grace?" You reply as you tie up the cloth given to you by Sigewwine earlier. "I can box or use fisticuffs as some of the fancier folk say and I'm the Duke of Meropide." "Those are all amazing accomplishments-" *"but what use is that to a dying person?"* He says, icy gray eyes looking to your own. As mighty as the great Duke is rumored, his eyes still hold that hollow gaze of stolen innocence and child-like pain. A past given to only those he trusts, which is a rare find in a prison like Meropide. "Is this a situation that has happened before, your grace?" You say quietly, letting your hands linger on his bandages. His eyes now glassy turn away, his silence speaking for himself. "Well, even if you are not talented in medicine," you place his hand on a scar from a criminal arrested by the one who touches your heart and is facing you, "you know how to find those people with those talents, and get them to come work for you." Before anything else, you gently let go of his hand and stand up, grabbing his gauntlets from Sigewwine's desk. "Sigewwine cleaned your gauntlets, but I made sure to remove her little stickers," you place them beside him. His chapped lips start to move but stay silent as he picks up his gauntlets and inspects them. "Thank you," he says, putting them back down and standing up in front of you. "It's my job-" "for entering the Fortress of Meropide." His words surprise you, the smile painting his scarred skin surprising you even more. "Perhaps it's just my faulty socialization, but besides the melusines, I've never felt this comfortable." "Well, a doctor is supposed to make you feel better, isn't she?" You chuckle before noticing a slight cut on his lip. "Oh, I didn't notice that, let me get a bandage," you grab a small melusine bandage to put on his cut, but the second your finger brushes against his lips, he gently moves your hand away and grabs the small of your back, pulling you into a gentle kiss. Your shock slowly melts into affection as you let one hand slide into his wolf-like black and gray hair and the other rest on his waist.

The excitement that fills your veins each time you have to spit out some blood was intoxicating. The matches would always end in your opponent unconscious on the mat. Ruthless in the ring but a sweetheart outside was the best way to describe you. In the ring you kept the same smile except the look in your eyes held a sense of delight in what you did. Watching your opponents blood on your knuckles as you praised them for lasting this long with you with blood on your lips. Brutal and terrifying to anyone who dared to oppose you in that ring. It's become your throne and you were ready to punish anyone who dared to attempt to overthrow you. It was no different when the Duke now stood against you. You saw him as the only one worthy to toy with a bit longer. Perhaps you toyed with him a bit too much. Now you're against the mat in the ring with your teeth coated in that ruby liquid you enjoyed tasting. The Duke above you holding you down by your neck and pushing his weight against your abdomen. You blocked out the sound of jeers of the people who bet on you in the fight. Your fighting spirit and bloodlust enticed him oddly enough. He wanted to be the one to tame the beast inside you. “Surrender” he ordered. “Tired already, Your Grace?” You teased. As much as you wanted to, those coupons were so close in your grasp. Besides, you never thought fighting against the Duke would be this fun. You've already made him spit out some blood and caused a few scratches on his face. “You'll get more coupons from me if you surrender and I won't have to rough up this face anymore than I already did” his offer was tempting. Tempting enough for you to stomp your foot against the mat, resulting in the ones who bet on you to boo and groan in disappointment. The side of you that enjoyed the thrill faded away and back to the one everyone enjoyed more. “Good. Come meet me in my office once you've patched yourself up to claim your prize. Get that blood out of your mouth. I only want my name in there from now on outside this ring. Got it?” His voice was commanding and his words dripped with innuendo. “Yes, Your Grace”

I want you to know I keep coming back to this; I’ve never enjoyed these character playlists (from anyone) very much until this specific one that has opened my eyes (ears? 🤔) to the possibilities. This was very well put together imo ❤
Oh. My. _S t a r s ._ I'm genuinely floored by this playlist. The song progressions, the atmosphere, the VOICELINE PLACEMENTS AND CHOICES?? ĀTAAHUA, e hoa!! This is so gorgeously compiled and crafted, it reminds me a lot of a Kaeya playlist I found some time ago and that is a HUGE compliment coming from me since that thing was my obsession for _months_ on end. Yours is also the only Wriothesley playlist I've found so far that isn't... egregiously down-bad, shall we say LOL. I honestly don't know much about Wriothesley's character just yet (so far my only data on him is from when a friend got him and we messed around with him for a bit [I may have gotten him killed a couple times, oops...] and a few of his voicelines), and so far my conclusion has been "Tired mid-life father-figure trying to balance work with his chaotic kids", which is probably inaccurate but eh ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌
This is the first time I've ever heard bad omens in a character playlist, and boy am i not complaining!! they're my favorite band and they deserve more recognition.
Because there is a WORRISOME lack of POVs, I'm going to try my hand at one, so wish me luck, y'all (First person, solely because 🎶~personal preference~🎶, and don't worry, gender neutral because we don't discriminate) (ALSO, SIDE NOTE: I have yet to play Genshin Impact solely because motivation? Who is she? BUT I am relatively familiar with a lot of the characters so :D anyways, please give me some grace 🙏) POV: No hints, read on to find out :P It's been years since I first met Wriothesly, back when I was first sentenced to the fortress. Obviously not for anything big, crime isn't really my thing, but it's not exactly easy to keep your temper when you see street kids being mistreated, much less by someone of higher political stature. Regardless of the who's, where's, what's, and why's, I don't regret my actions, and truth be told, maybe it was good for me to spend some time in the fortress. Wriothesly, the duke of Meropide who was renowned for his moral compass. It wasn't long before I ultimately met him after I was administered, and when we met, it was nice not to be automatically greeted with a sneer. Granted, he wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but he spoke to me with a sense of understanding. Being stuck at the fortress for such an unjustified reason eventually bubbled up into something more than just a spark of frustration, and knowing my aptitude for rage-fueled decisions, I decided to ask for help from Wriothesly, having not exactly enjoyed the company of any of the other guards here. After I managed to speak to him, he decided to offer a solution, an outlet if you will. I was surprised at first when he mentioned boxing, but I wasn't exactly going to look a gift horse in the mouth. After scheduling a time and date, I was finally escorted into a modestly sized room, not much in it besides a boxing ring. Wriothesly was waiting in the center, beckoning me in with a swift hand motion as my guards left. As soon as I set foot on the thick mat, I felt a shift, knowing that this is exactly what was going to get me where I wanted to be. After a while, it became routine to box with the duke, legally written down as "reward for good behavior" or some such business. Truth be told, there were a great many times when I got absolutely knocked onto the ground, but I made it a point to continue to get back up, making the most of our meetings. With every punch, thrown or received, I could feel myself regaining control of myself. While obviously boxing didn't fix everything, it was definitely a big step towards me having better self-control. As time went on, Wriothesly and I would occasionally spend some time talking for a short time before or after our sessions, normally about my performance in the ring, but some days it was polite conversation, a great break in what seemed to be such an isolated daily routine. By the time the end of my sentence came around, I had shown clear improvement, just barely managing to knock Wriothesly onto the ground on a few occasions. It was clear that he was proud of my progress, although it was less discernable how he felt about the boxing sessions coming to an end. On the day of my release, I decided to ask the duke for one last session. He looked at me with an odd expression. "Last? And here I thought you wanted to get good enough to finally beat me." Here we are, a few of months later. No longer confined to the fortress, we meet at some place he tends to rent out, something I believe is unnecessary, but haven't said anything about. There's been a certain shift in our conversations after my release, Wriothesly seems almost friendlier, our conversations drifting from simple politeness towards something more relaxed from time to time. I can't complain, it's nice to see him less formal after all this time. "It took you long enough, I'm sacrificing my precious time for you, y'know." Wriothesly greets me just so fondly as I set my bag down near the ring, stretching my arms up above my head. "I deeply apologize, your grace," I tease with an indignant snort, reaching into my bag to grab what I need for the match. Today was different, I decided that as soon as I stepped into the ring. A competitive fire ignited in my chest as my gaze met his, finding a similar spark reflected in his eyes. A sense of understanding was shared between us as we got in position, the same as any other day. But it isn't just any other day. Today's the day I'm ready to win. The air was absolutely electric with anticipation as we waited for the bell to ring to signal the start of our match, pinpricks of adrenaline dancing its way throughout my system. Across from me, Wriothesly stood with a strong and confident stance, a focused look on his face. At the sharp noise of the bell resonated throughout the room, the rest of the ring faded away, nothing else could possibly matter when he was right in front of me, victory practically burning the tips of my fingers with how close it is. He throws the first punch, and I take a calculated step, narrowly dodging. We dance around each other, trading punches as we move around the ring, our eyes never leaving the other's. Each jab he threw, I countered; each hook he unleashed, I evaded. We moved in sync, our movements a testament to the countless hours we've spent training. But as the rounds progressed, the intensity escalated. Our punches grew sharper, our footwork faster, our breathing heavier. It was no longer just a friendly spar; it was a battle of wills, a test of endurance. Sweat poured down our faces, our muscles ached, but neither of us backed down. In the final round, exhaustion threatened to overwhelm me, but I refused to let it consume me. With every ounce of strength left in my body, I launched myself forward, throwing everything I had into one last flurry of punches. Wriothesly met me head-on, his determination matching mine blow for blow. As the final seconds ticked away, I knew it was now or never. I strike out, riskily swiping at him, forcing Wriothesly to move to the other direction, just for his abdomen to be met with my fist at full force. The match ends with a resounding thud, and I can't look away from Wriothesly's large from on the ground before me. "Gods..." His voice is rough from the fight, looking down a bit, his expression unreadable as I stand above him. "I think that it's finally time that I ask you out on a proper date." Shifting his head up, the contrast of his eyes almost forces me to take a step back. He's never looked at me with such warmth in his eyes, let alone the small smirk that accompanies it. HI IT'S THREE IN THE MORNING, I'M SO HAPPY THAT I FINISHED IT, anyways go get some water and a snack lovelies, maybe draw a silly little doodle if you can, have a good night/day!

Ngl I initially hated that the voice lines were interspersed in this, because I was listening to these character playlists as a non Genshin player. But uh... it grew on me. And this video is the one that made me try the game. Alas, you don't meet him til chapter 4, and now I know a lot of stuff about Wriothesley I won't see in person for quite a while. Oops. Oh well. That guy was beating you up bad.
Blood dripped from the bandages wrapped on your palm, and from your nostril. Your breath was shaky as you limped in your stance. Your opponent, however, stood tall and mighty with a cocky grin stuck on his face as he looked at you.
“Come on, mon loup, you gotta be a lot more feisty than that,” Wriothesley teased jokingly, taunting you to come closer with a slow, beckoning hand, the wraps around his palm distracting you.
“Mon Dieu, je te déteste…”
You tried to land a punch, but once again, he dodged the attempt. However, when you fell to the cold floor, you kicked him in the ankle and swept him off his feet. Literally.
He was knocked down, his side hitting the ground with a THUD. It was loud enough to worry you. You scrambled over to him, caressing his back to see if he was okay. He had a few bruises from the fall, and he was howling and groaning. “Holy f-” He was cut short with a wince.
However, you noticed his tight fist and pulled away, saving yourself from that hit. “Damn, finally, you’re getting into it,” he laughed as he stood back up, but with that small limp of his, you decided to tease him. “It might cost you an arm and a leg, amour.”
After hours of fighting, you’re both covered with blood and sweat dripping, and your bandage wraps being torn.
“Let’s finish this cat fight right here, in the ring,” he muttered, but you had other ideas.
“Let's settle this…” you whispered.
(I was gonna make it say “in bed” but that would get me cancelled)

Will you be arresting me now in those pretty cuffs?” He looked at her with a smirk and released her, “I think you’d be handy around the fortress instead. Work for me and I’ll let you share a bit of myself.” “As in blood?” Y/N said, turning around to face him.

The office door creaked and the assistant walked in leading me into the warden's office.
"Your grace, there is a criminal for you"
Wriothesley raised an eyebrow as my all too familiar figure entered the room, in handcuffs.
A helpless smile could not help but quickly flicker on his lips as I was ushered into his office, and the assistant could also not hide a knowing laugh, as she closed the door gently behind her.
"So, *Traveller*" he stifled his amusement about my -once again sorry look - and tried to speak sternly and languidly.
"What crime is it this time?
A civillian arrest of a criminal with overly violent justice, even though we have public officers?
Breaking public property? Rummaging in Trash cans? Breaking and entering into a house? " He paused.
"... How come you are here every day? " Sighing, he leaned forward, and observed me slowly from top to bottom - and his silver blue eyes curved slightly, as if he liked what he saw.
I could not help but squirm, but with him, you had to stay firm.
And so I moved forward, courageously, sitting in the spacious chair across his office desk, a little lower than him, but either way with a straight back, keeping eye contact.
I also did not know, but it felt exhilarating and addicting to see him every day, even if it was just to be scrutinized by his crystal eyes as he was thinking what to do with me.
I felt crazy, but my adrenaline was pumping.
Even though he could get out of here now, I barely saw him outside of his office these days... So this seemed to be my new daily quest for the near future.
Committing petty crimes, just to see Wriothesley's face in work mode, in his office - as he seemed to be working a lot, lately.
So instead of sulking, I decided to protest using other methods.
Preparing my criminal pitch I cleared my throat: "Hrmm...it just happens somehow.
Today...I think... I just forgot to return something valuable this time?"
my voice trailed off as I was not sure myself, looking for excuses without repeating myself was pretty hard.
"Or was that yesterday... hmm, maybe it was lurking around meropide fortress? ." I looked here and there "..nah that was on monday."
"Is that a new talet you are developing?" he asked exhasperatingly "Committing crimes, just enough to get you in jail for a bit?" I smirked as I watched his helpless face.
Wriothesley's brows scrunched as his hand cupped his forehead, as if he was seriously thinking about something, maybe of a good way to deal with me?
My heart rate increased, and my insecurity grew a little more, as I quietened.
"Is this why you asked such a strange favor in turn for helping me? No matter what crime you committed, I would be the warden in charge of you??" His hand raked through his wild hair, as he leaned back reaching our daily impasse. I shook my head.
He tried to look strict but on closer observation, I noticed that his shoulders were shaking - as if he was stifling his laughter.
"Ah.. I picked my prison cell lock today and escaped, trying to break into the common ward - I think! " remembering, I raised my hands , as if in defense, and my chains clinked against each other.
Then I just turned my head away for a second, as I was thinking about more mishief - and suddenly Wriothesley was right above me, as he slapped a hand right and left on the chair, next to my shoulders, looking at me from above, still frowning... Leaning in, his voice tickled my ears as he seemed to have found a solution for my mischief.
"If you like visiting my office so much, maybe I should just make a personal cell for you here." You could hear the smirk in his voice.
"Maybe you should," I sassed right back, mouth quicker than brain
"Since this seems the only way to see you recentl--" my words were cut off with the same vigor as him strutting over. "Ow..." My ear was bitten, then licked, and I tingled all over.
His hot breath lingered in my ear as he nibbled on it.
Shivering, I could not deny the pull, and my heart racing, as I turned to him. "What the...?"
My turning lips were sealed shut as he greedily plundered my mouth with his tongue. Like waves, I felt swept away, melting into the kiss.
Almost forgetting my initial goal. - What the hell was he doing, playing hot and cold?
As he gave me a break, I whispered "Wait a second, - Leyley." This nickname made him stiffen up and scrunch his brows.
He bit my lip. "You know I hate being treated like a child. You know you are playing a dangerous game here, so why can't you wait?"
Sighing, I looked into his scrutinizing eyes. "Wait, for what?... its not like you saw the light of the day even once these past two weeks."
This made him nod along with my words, and I blushed harder because it seemed like I was stalking him -
but the next words I said made him lean back and scratch his head, seemingly fighting with himself for an answer.
"It seems my new boyfriend just works in his office all day, and this is the only way to see him - so what can I do otherwise, than be at his mercy? "
Now, my words poured like a waterfall -
"Build me a cell, and lock me up here, why don't you?"
His face hardened and he seemed to have made a decision.
"What? What?"
For a second I got insecure, seeing this serious face as he was gritting his teeth.
In the next second, I was in the air, as he grabbed my waist, hoisting me over his shoulder..
Suddenly, a shelf of his office slid apart, revealing another room, and I gasped, as he entered, and I saw it for the first time.
Compared to the dark office, this side room seemed freshly made and everything here light and warm - A view of sunlight and water.
It just did not fit with the overall mood of the main office.
It looked like... I could not help blush, as the big double bed in creamy white, lamps right and left entered my perspective. It was right in the middle of the room.
"What the hell?" Crimson red, I struggled a little, as Wriothesley threw me on the plush mattress and the door behind us closed.
The handcuff chains clinked as he pulled my hands over the top of my head and held my chin in his other hand, towering over me.
"Do you like your new cell? Its not fully done, but I remodeled it just for you..."
Realization and confusion struck me as his presence and scent wrapped around me, once more, but I did not fully know or realize what this meant, until.
"You better stop breaking the law, or ..the next time you commit a crime, I *will* lock you up here, and punish you for your shenanigans until *I* am satisfied."
Shuddering, I swallowed and, as always, my mouth was quicker than my brain as I sheepishly asked: "But what about this time...?"
"You, really..." He chuckled, laughing heartily. "Why are you so impatient?"

I was wondering where the dialogue was literally from- a particular edition or version of the game, a trailer, or bonus content from the voice actors perhaps? But it seems like it is just the game directly... Some of the lines I couldn't picture actually being in a game because it would be too easy to take out of context, so I thought I would ask (unless taking it out of context is what the developers wanted...oop🤭). But yes, just wondering the origin of the dialogue.
I personally would say no to timestamps though just because of the extra work I'm sure there would be to add them, but as a listener, it is really fun listening to the video and then suddenly hearing a voice cut through the song or into a break in the music. It's a very nice surprise to have not knowing when and how the character will add his thoughts, but those are just my thoughts.

The inmate was thoroughly dealt with, but with Sigewwine stuck with other inmates that left you, her volunteer helper from the overworld, to help Wriothesley. "What makes you say that, your grace?" You reply as you tie up the cloth given to you by Sigewwine earlier. "I can box or use fisticuffs as some of the fancier folk say and I'm the Duke of Meropide." "Those are all amazing accomplishments-" *"but what use is that to a dying person?"* He says, icy gray eyes looking to your own. As mighty as the great Duke is rumored, his eyes still hold that hollow gaze of stolen innocence and child-like pain. A past given to only those he trusts, which is a rare find in a prison like Meropide.
"Is this a situation that has happened before, your grace?" You say quietly, letting your hands linger on his bandages.
His eyes now glassy turn away, his silence speaking for himself.
"Well, even if you are not talented in medicine," you place his hand on a scar from a criminal arrested by the one who touches your heart and is facing you, "you know how to find those people with those talents, and get them to come work for you." Before anything else, you gently let go of his hand and stand up, grabbing his gauntlets from Sigewwine's desk.
"Sigewwine cleaned your gauntlets, but I made sure to remove her little stickers," you place them beside him. His chapped lips start to move but stay silent as he picks up his gauntlets and inspects them. "Thank you," he says, putting them back down and standing up in front of you. "It's my job-" "for entering the Fortress of Meropide." His words surprise you, the smile painting his scarred skin surprising you even more. "Perhaps it's just my faulty socialization, but besides the melusines, I've never felt this comfortable." "Well, a doctor is supposed to make you feel better, isn't she?" You chuckle before noticing a slight cut on his lip. "Oh, I didn't notice that, let me get a bandage," you grab a small melusine bandage to put on his cut, but the second your finger brushes against his lips, he gently moves your hand away and grabs the small of your back, pulling you into a gentle kiss. Your shock slowly melts into affection as you let one hand slide into his wolf-like black and gray hair and the other rest on his waist.

The excitement that fills your veins each time you have to spit out some blood was intoxicating. The matches would always end in your opponent unconscious on the mat. Ruthless in the ring but a sweetheart outside was the best way to describe you.
In the ring you kept the same smile except the look in your eyes held a sense of delight in what you did. Watching your opponents blood on your knuckles as you praised them for lasting this long with you with blood on your lips. Brutal and terrifying to anyone who dared to oppose you in that ring. It's become your throne and you were ready to punish anyone who dared to attempt to overthrow you.
It was no different when the Duke now stood against you. You saw him as the only one worthy to toy with a bit longer. Perhaps you toyed with him a bit too much.
Now you're against the mat in the ring with your teeth coated in that ruby liquid you enjoyed tasting. The Duke above you holding you down by your neck and pushing his weight against your abdomen. You blocked out the sound of jeers of the people who bet on you in the fight. Your fighting spirit and bloodlust enticed him oddly enough. He wanted to be the one to tame the beast inside you. “Surrender” he ordered.
“Tired already, Your Grace?” You teased. As much as you wanted to, those coupons were so close in your grasp. Besides, you never thought fighting against the Duke would be this fun. You've already made him spit out some blood and caused a few scratches on his face.

Oh. My. _S t a r s ._ I'm genuinely floored by this playlist. The song progressions, the atmosphere, the VOICELINE PLACEMENTS AND CHOICES?? ĀTAAHUA, e hoa!! This is so gorgeously compiled and crafted, it reminds me a lot of a Kaeya playlist I found some time ago and that is a HUGE compliment coming from me since that thing was my obsession for _months_ on end. Yours is also the only Wriothesley playlist I've found so far that isn't... egregiously down-bad, shall we say LOL.
I honestly don't know much about Wriothesley's character just yet (so far my only data on him is from when a friend got him and we messed around with him for a bit [I may have gotten him killed a couple times, oops...] and a few of his voicelines), and so far my conclusion has been "Tired mid-life father-figure trying to balance work with his chaotic kids", which is probably inaccurate but eh ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌

This is the first time I've ever heard bad omens in a character playlist, and boy am i not complaining!! they're my favorite band and they deserve more recognition.

(ALSO, SIDE NOTE: I have yet to play Genshin Impact solely because motivation? Who is she? BUT I am relatively familiar with a lot of the characters so :D anyways, please give me some grace 🙏)

It's been years since I first met Wriothesly, back when I was first sentenced to the fortress. Obviously not for anything big, crime isn't really my thing, but it's not exactly easy to keep your temper when you see street kids being mistreated, much less by someone of higher political stature. Regardless of the who's, where's, what's, and why's, I don't regret my actions, and truth be told, maybe it was good for me to spend some time in the fortress.
Wriothesly, the duke of Meropide who was renowned for his moral compass. It wasn't long before I ultimately met him after I was administered, and when we met, it was nice not to be automatically greeted with a sneer. Granted, he wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but he spoke to me with a sense of understanding.
Being stuck at the fortress for such an unjustified reason eventually bubbled up into something more than just a spark of frustration, and knowing my aptitude for rage-fueled decisions, I decided to ask for help from Wriothesly, having not exactly enjoyed the company of any of the other guards here. After I managed to speak to him, he decided to offer a solution, an outlet if you will. I was surprised at first when he mentioned boxing, but I wasn't exactly going to look a gift horse in the mouth. After scheduling a time and date, I was finally escorted into a modestly sized room, not much in it besides a boxing ring. Wriothesly was waiting in the center, beckoning me in with a swift hand motion as my guards left. As soon as I set foot on the thick mat, I felt a shift, knowing that this is exactly what was going to get me where I wanted to be.
After a while, it became routine to box with the duke, legally written down as "reward for good behavior" or some such business. Truth be told, there were a great many times when I got absolutely knocked onto the ground, but I made it a point to continue to get back up, making the most of our meetings. With every punch, thrown or received, I could feel myself regaining control of myself. While obviously boxing didn't fix everything, it was definitely a big step towards me having better self-control.
As time went on, Wriothesly and I would occasionally spend some time talking for a short time before or after our sessions, normally about my performance in the ring, but some days it was polite conversation, a great break in what seemed to be such an isolated daily routine.
By the time the end of my sentence came around, I had shown clear improvement, just barely managing to knock Wriothesly onto the ground on a few occasions. It was clear that he was proud of my progress, although it was less discernable how he felt about the boxing sessions coming to an end.
On the day of my release, I decided to ask the duke for one last session. He looked at me with an odd expression.
"Last? And here I thought you wanted to get good enough to finally beat me."
Here we are, a few of months later. No longer confined to the fortress, we meet at some place he tends to rent out, something I believe is unnecessary, but haven't said anything about. There's been a certain shift in our conversations after my release, Wriothesly seems almost friendlier, our conversations drifting from simple politeness towards something more relaxed from time to time. I can't complain, it's nice to see him less formal after all this time.
"It took you long enough, I'm sacrificing my precious time for you, y'know." Wriothesly greets me just so fondly as I set my bag down near the ring, stretching my arms up above my head.
"I deeply apologize, your grace," I tease with an indignant snort, reaching into my bag to grab what I need for the match.
Today was different, I decided that as soon as I stepped into the ring. A competitive fire ignited in my chest as my gaze met his, finding a similar spark reflected in his eyes. A sense of understanding was shared between us as we got in position, the same as any other day. But it isn't just any other day.
Today's the day I'm ready to win.
The air was absolutely electric with anticipation as we waited for the bell to ring to signal the start of our match, pinpricks of adrenaline dancing its way throughout my system. Across from me, Wriothesly stood with a strong and confident stance, a focused look on his face.
At the sharp noise of the bell resonated throughout the room, the rest of the ring faded away, nothing else could possibly matter when he was right in front of me, victory practically burning the tips of my fingers with how close it is. He throws the first punch, and I take a calculated step, narrowly dodging. We dance around each other, trading punches as we move around the ring, our eyes never leaving the other's. Each jab he threw, I countered; each hook he unleashed, I evaded. We moved in sync, our movements a testament to the countless hours we've spent training.
But as the rounds progressed, the intensity escalated. Our punches grew sharper, our footwork faster, our breathing heavier. It was no longer just a friendly spar; it was a battle of wills, a test of endurance. Sweat poured down our faces, our muscles ached, but neither of us backed down.
In the final round, exhaustion threatened to overwhelm me, but I refused to let it consume me. With every ounce of strength left in my body, I launched myself forward, throwing everything I had into one last flurry of punches. Wriothesly met me head-on, his determination matching mine blow for blow. As the final seconds ticked away, I knew it was now or never. I strike out, riskily swiping at him, forcing Wriothesly to move to the other direction, just for his abdomen to be met with my fist at full force.
The match ends with a resounding thud, and I can't look away from Wriothesly's large from on the ground before me.
"Gods..." His voice is rough from the fight, looking down a bit, his expression unreadable as I stand above him.
"I think that it's finally time that I ask you out on a proper date." Shifting his head up, the contrast of his eyes almost forces me to take a step back. He's never looked at me with such warmth in his eyes, let alone the small smirk that accompanies it.

The contrast between muddy waters and the voiceover of his backstory goes crazy hard. Gave me chills and my jaw dropped. And then it was the transition to castles as well, this entire playlist is just *chef's kiss*

Ngl I initially hated that the voice lines were interspersed in this, because I was listening to these character playlists as a non Genshin player. But uh... it grew on me. And this video is the one that made me try the game. Alas, you don't meet him til chapter 4, and now I know a lot of stuff about Wriothesley I won't see in person for quite a while. Oops. Oh well.
