Spanje kwam vlak voor tijd op gelijke hoogte door een doelpunt van invaller Sydney Ehizogie. Beiden ploegen gingen vol voor de winst maar het bleef uiteindelijk 1-1. En dat betekend dat zowel Spanje als Portugal beiden voor de toernooiwinst blijven gaan en dus hun laatste duels tegen Nederland en Duitsland nog vol aan de bak zullen gaan.
