The whole thing is basically a spoof of all the old VH1 "Behind the Music" shows.
The joke is that that’s NOT how you spell Kyle’s name:
These guys are too dumb for South park lol
This is a perfect example of why South Park is so great! They can make fun of something you love, or something you hate, and it’s hilarious! Me I thought Guitar Hero was stupid as hell, but I had friends who were into it. We all loved this episode!
The "I Quit" came from the movie "That Thing You Do".
When they walk in on Randy on the sofa 😂
Hey! Heroin Hero addiction is not funny!
Yea it's just a parody on the very common Rock Band story and all the drama that goes along with it. "That Thing You Do" is a good movie about a band making it and breaking up and stuff. When Thad Jarvis says "I quit, I quit, I quit I quit I quit" that line is directly from that movie. But I think this episode is mostly mocking that VH1 show "Behind the music" which did like documentaries on famous bands.
I think this episode is a parody of all music biopics in general, it has all the popular clichés, not any specific movie, cool episode, learned about Kansas from it as a teenager)
It was called ROCKSMITH & it was actually a learning tool, & it was pretty decent too...there may have been others but thats the one a few friends of mine had
Mick is a true friend! He helped a kid that was down on his luck, and then told him to go on when a better thing came along! He was there when Kyle needed him, but respected him enough to let him go!
One of those episodes where Randy is just literally Trey. He's always a lot of Trey but in this episode it just is him.
This is loosely based on Trey and Matt's relationship. Many tried to get Trey Parker to move on without Matt Stone. But he pretty much said he was nothing without Matt. Even though he was the one doing most of the writing and such, he said he wasn't any good without Matt. They promised to be a package deal and kept that promise. Many episodes are based on their relationship
And then Guitar Hero had a South Park song, the song by Lords of the Underworld from the episode with Phil Collins.
No way Dee you used to play True Crime Streets of L.A.? That game was so good. I loved doing the martial arts stuff and I'd pretend the main guy was Jackie Chan.
Sleeping dogs was a semi sequel and also good
nice was hoping these would get posted at some point :)
And of course Jay Cutler never was good someday lol
Props to you guys for going back and doing this episode. One of my favorites.
Did they ever say why they quit doing Office reactions? I've heard it's a hard show to do because of all the copyrights. Maybe they just got tired of messing with it ?
The storyline was kind of just based on evey generic 1980's movie that ever existed, where the main character "comes of age" after some hard times & some soul searching, ha....anyway, Dee's childhood memories with her sister & the steering wheel & the chairs was so sweet, it made me smile:)
I like when Dee enjoys the episode.
The talent scout was Reuben Kincaid from the 1960s tv show, The Partridge Family. Reruns will were on a lot when I was a kid. UPDATE: The show originally ran from 1970 to 1974, not 1960s which was my assumption because it looked very '60s.
GH3 was my game for a hot minute lol It also really helped get me into the world of rock and metal too 🤘
Hell yeah, i was like 30 years old, & a real guitar player of 20 years when the guitar hero fad happened....those kook kids thought they were *actual* musicians, they thought they stevie ray vaughan or randy rhodes, or some sh*t, lmao
Better then real people
Randy Rhodes is the greatest metal guitarist of all time!🤘🏻
Chase me! Keep chasing me
“Jordan” by Buckethead
Was in Guitar Hero II 🤘🏽
the game you're thinking about is called rocksmith.
i havent played it because it requires special hardware.
it literally determines the notes you are playing in a real instrument.
seems like a good tool for learning real songs.
i do something similar with "artificial intelligence"(i hate that term, because it's just statistics and heuristics) to split the bass track of particularly difficult songs......and use that for practice....
You also missed the list episode
They need to watch the alternate ending of The List as well
THE LIST!
The game you are talking about is called Rocksmith and I used it to learn bass.
They spelled Kyle Brovloski as "Kile BARFloski"
Lol, Google manager of the Partridge Family. And also, I quit, I quit, I quit is from the movie That thing You Do.
It's just making fun of biopics of musicians as they are all mostly identical.
Rocksmith. It’s a really good game
I used to live the game Frank's Hamster Rats.
I don’t know why but I find Stan in that little car adorable it’s probably cause he’s my favorite. Which reminds me I don’t think yu guys have told us yur favorite character now that yur this deep.
all the musicians I knew sucked at guitar hero and rock band
You're have a nice laugh it's like music to my ears.
I believe the point was that guitar hero is lame and they just added a stereotypical Rockstar life into it
What did you say when it was muted around 3:10?
i dont think it flopped, everybody i knew wanted that version of guitar hero, ad we played the shit out of it every time we ran into some at like dave n busters, stars and strikes etc.
This one is good? All of them are great.
After school special
great ep
The saddest Disney movie I remember watching was You Wish. God I loved that movie lol.
Comment
The Buckethead song was Jordan on the second Guitar Hero, one of the hardest songs
Glad you all enjoyed this one so much!
why do they call Randy by his last name ?
Darsh?
