- Another crazy day finding big gold ring and seeing my friends score some awesome finds of their own while metal detecting the beach. We find Silver coins, gold rings, lots of old coins and so much fun. I joined Brad, Dave, Mike and others at the Wedge after a large storm made for great treasure hunting for several days before getting sanded back in. I treasure hunt with a Minelab Equinox 800 with the 15" coil.

Lol, we certainly had a lucky week. Hurricane Kay churned up the sea floor and the next big swell pushed it onto the shore. I wish you could have been there with us. Thank You 👍
Hey Jim, what's the news on your carpal tunnel? I had it a few years ago, try playing darts with it! Talk about difficult to hold the darts!
my carpal tunnel was really a ganglion cyst removal they called carpal tunnel for some reason. but I am just now recovering and almost normal again. I will try golf next week. Thank You 👍

Do you guys try to find the owners of the class rings?
Returns are difficult, including class rings. It is much harder then you think so anymore all I do is post in L&F message boards, unless a clear first and last name then I send a letter to the school and let them do the hard work of tracking down a person.

Think that I would be hanging out in the same area like the other guy if I were finding all of those rings, he found a treasure hole. Congrats to all of you on your fantastic finds, and was amazed at the concentration. Jim do you have concentrated areas like that at particular times of the year due to the wave action?
The beach is a collection bowl and every few years we get a few good storms that churn up the sea floor and then push onto the shore. Very rare but when it happens it usually very good. This year Hurricane Kay changed a lot of beach shapes and provided great hunting on several beaches in California. Thank you 🤙

Surfers have been challenging the wedge for decades, so I imagine there is a lot more. We just need that occasional big swell to push it back onto the shore. Thank you 🤙
